The fact that RDR2 is an massive open world (compared to TLOU2) with such details is a work of art. 3 years later and it's still the most beautiful well detailed game ever created. Way ahead of its time.
Actualy its not ahead of its time. This is what most big game companies can create this days but they prefere to make shity pay to win money traps instead of masterpieces like rockstar does. Not hating on your coment just saying
@@bluesclues770 XD GTA online is pay to win, they don't give a shit about any of there games look at the state of the GTA trilogy remaster. Rdr2 has got pretty much no kind of single player updates the online is a mess where you have to buy gold bars to be able to have a chance of getting good weapons. Your either blind or a 9 year old
The last of 2 is an incredible game loved it, but not so much the story. Rdr 2 is still probably the most immersive experience I have ever played. The fact that it came out 3 years ago is quite impressive.
I really liked both games, I even bought my ps4 with rdr2. But honestly in the beginning of rdr2 I had some serious struggle with the controls. They werent intuitive for me. After a few hours of gaming I putted rdr2 away for more then a year, before I continued it. It was love on second sight then 😁
@wilzam abdurrahim I've seen a number of people voice that opinion but I really don't get it. It wasn't that bad, it wasn't that long, and I saw it as a story based tutorial that gave players a chance to acclimate. I mean, it's MAYBE 1.5 hours compared to the rest of the 60 hour experience? Not that bad.
The fact that RDR2 has this many details in a huge open world is what makes it much more impressive. Open world games tend to not have too many small details.
You could have noted that snow at least collects on the Character in RDR2 realistically when the Player is crouching. Same goes for mud. This does not seem to be the case in TLOU2.
RDRO its a meme, open world just makes the player go from A to B like an idiot, combat mechanics are sooo simple and enemy AI sucks, its not even close to TLOU2, it just have a beautiful enviroment, but shity and boring gameplay. I think you need to play TLOU2 b4 decide, i've played both and definitely me and all the people i know that played both thinks TLOU2 is more fun to play, RDR2 gets you bored in 30 min or even less.
@@GuhanG since im kind a soulsborne preference player, story is something secondary to me, i mean, its important ofc but a good gameplay is the most mandatory thing for a game, and thats where tlou2 shines, sincerely, i cant play rdr2 more than 30 minutes without getting bored, difficulty matters, and thats something unexistent on the R* game.
Fun fact: In TLOU2, there’s a small detail that when you kill an enemy and blood flows out on like ceramic floor tiles, the blood will follow the gap lines on those floor tiles
In TLOU2 she just used some rope, but in RDR2 you have a lasso. So I wouldn't compare the two that much, because it's two different interactions with ropes.
If u play on pc I'd recommend downloading some mods like the ped damage overhaul and that one mod where it lets you duel anyone with a gun Really adds to the immersion and features for the game
I mean, RDR2 came out in 2018 and we're still finding new things in that game. It's unbelievably detailed, like, the horse and every character high-steps in the snow, bullet shells have pin markings after they've been shot and much more. Another thing is that ice is much stronger than people believe, it can support the weight of cars and such. Yes, it would have been nice if Rockstar had added ice that was very weak to make the world more fun, I can't really say that their ice is unrealistic though.
@MechaGodzilla yes rdr2 is a legendary name and game TLOUS is also pretty good but storyline is not that much like rdr2 ,I don't like TLOUS story that's why I don't like it rdr2 is🔥🔥
@@kwithvideochallenge-gx4ul I’m sorry but rdr2 is a good game but it’s far from being 🔥🔥 it’s just a really average game, the open world and graphics blind you

OMG, those rope physics are AMAZING in TLOU2! I've never seen rope physics done so flawlessly in gaming like this! These really are some amazingly detailed games. Both of them. THIS feels like next gen to me. 😍❤🔥
@@TheMitchZone yea but it work differently than a lasso, lasso is a rope BUT the animation surely not the same and not fully comparable to "rope" because lasso has a fully different function than a normal rope
@@justsometimber1nthelake873I can agree that rdr 2 is better than tlou part 2, but most games he showcased before were not comparable to rdr 2, tlou part 2 got somewhat close comparing to other games to rdr 2
@@Bigjohnbigjohn-ep2yo yeah but RDR2 is open world meaning the world is a LOT larger and requires a lot more detail because of that. Physics is just one of the things RDR2 is realistic in, their NPCs are on a whole nother level. But since were talking about graphics, although i will admit that the facial expressions in TLOU2 are better. The terrain, texture, lighting and movements of the world in RDR2 us definitely better imo
I don't know man i personally loved the story even though i can see the flaws yet the overall story was as 'the last of us' as it gets. Not many new characters were given depth or much focus but a few did end up being really amazing to me. It wasn't a fan service like a lot of people would've wanted and loved, it was more of a gritty and realistic take on a zombie world with not much of a plot armour present for characters. In the end the opinions remain divided and it's totally ok to criticize it because liking a story or not is a subjective view, but you cannot say that they didn't at least try and do a daring story rather than some stupid reboot or same trash being sold as a sequel.
AND also keep in mind that rockstar is probably the biggest single player open world game maker AND the most experienced one. Also, the assets of the world are simply used everywhere so open world doesn't change much unless you're counting the activities that the world involves (which rdr2 has many actually so it's a valid point then).
@@simbadoggo20 Making an open-world game vs a linear experience changes a LOT, it's not just reusing assets. You need to make systemic gameplay that adapts to every scenario possible. When you have a linear game you have a controlled environment which you can fine tune to perfection. The fact that RDR2 competes with TLOU2 is absolutely nuts, despite how many years Rockstar could have making these games.
@@simbadoggo20 I wouldn't say yes to that the elder scrolls is a thing too, Rockstar is a giant of solo rpgs but elder scrolls I'd efirivteky on the top too
channels like this and the work you are doing will push immersion in RPGs into the future. Thanks for making these and putting more of a highlight on the little details that make a digital world feel just a little more real
For the few places where rdr2 isn’t “as good”, I’ll give it a pass for being two years older the lou2 AND having a MUCH larger world and story to handle. It wins all day.
Graphics- Lighting: Rdr2 Textures: Tlou2 Details: rdr2 Environment : rdr2 Water : Tie Animations: Tie Physics: Rdr2 Cutsences: Tlou2 ________________ Gameplay- Melee combat: Tlou2 Gunplay: Tie Weapons: Rdr2 Horses: Rdr2 Stealth: Tlou2 _______________ World building- The Open world: Rdr2 (obv) Diversity: Rdr2 Features: Rdr2 Content: Rdr2 ________________ Story- Character’s: Rdr2 Narrative: Rdr2 Suspense: Tlou2 Theme: Tie (both the Wild west and zombie apocalypse are 2 very cool topics) _______________________________ Overall- Rdr2 wins (This is my personal opinion what I say is not 100% factual)
Lighting is for tlou2 Water is for RDR2 (it looks realistic af) Details are for obviously RDR2 (Fun fact: it took over 8 years to create) Animations are for RDR2 because the animations are more fluent Physics is for TLOU2 Because of the mantling ability and more fluent options of movements Textures is for RDR2 Because you can see all the textures in Arthurs jacket and clothing while in TLOU2 Joel's jacket is pixelated, And the only thing NaughtyDog Worked on was face textures not really quality or textures, Casting/Voices: is for RDR2 Because it sounds like you're watching a film and it feels as if you view Arthur and the gang as a real family TLOU2 is a good game but RDR2 is just better in terms of story and depth and TLOU2 is good with gameplay and visuals
Lol, was just checking to see if someone else commented this before I did. The rope in that timestamp goes over the rope in the window but when she goes back inside to pick it up it ends up underneath the piece it was just thrown over.
@@erundorgames8941 if they made it as realistic as possible, players would fail grabbing people by ropes most of the time, especially if they're trying to pull a stunt like that one so that must be why.

Both games are graphically incredible but in the case of TLoU2 and the game being a movie I wouldn't expect less tbh, on the other hand RDR2 having actual gameplay and being an open world game is extremely insane.
@@grandmac6557 i love red dead to death, this my favorite game, but there's no arguing its gameplay is boring and stale. The las of us gameplay is insane
In rdr 2 at 7:56 you can see the protagonist is walking with so much effort to push snow from his feat while it is not se in tlou2 ..... Rockstar can amaze us in no. Of ways.... And rockstar games never feel like closed environment.... It is like a open world. While other games feel like a rpg compared to it.... Not open world.
The last of us part 2 does have impressive rope physics... only problem is that's not a rope is a power cord... witch is made from metal and plastic... witch dose not move that easily.
Not surprised by the results TLOU2 is a linear story driven game. Where as RDR2 is just amazing. If TLOU2 was open world then it would be something but it isn't that impressive given how on rails it is.
It’s arguably more open in it’s mission design than RDR2. In TLoU2 you can chose to be stealthy or go action where as in RDR2 you get mission failed if you don’t do it Rockstar’s way. I do think RDR2 still a masterpiece.
ENXGMA just making comparison of Rockstar's games and IDK why I like his content so much. His content is nothing but time waste but I love his content. I want his channel get at least 5 million subscriber.
Both games are amazing, but take in mind that rockstar made many open world games for the past 15 years and this is naughty dogs second game. I think it's a tie but that's my opinion
@@Jadxn503 it doesn't matter in which is better game. Rdr 2 is just in a league of it's own. Even franchise which have been running for a lot of time haven't been able to beat rdr 2 like watch dogs. Most open world games doesn't even come close to the details rdr2 have. Then story,it is subjective and everyone have different opinions but from reviews and people's opinions everyone prefer rdr2's and i think the same. I'm not hating on the last of us, it's a great fucking game with a great story and details but my point is rdr2 is just on a level of it's on. Same with rockstar, they are on a league of their own
@@weaverquest I like to think that rdr1 combat was perfect for a cowboy in the old west constantly engaging in shootouts and gunfights, while rdr2 feels like it was created to actually make players feel like a lone wanderer in the west, it has a bit more weight to it and feels slightly more realistic while rdr1 feels more fun in terms of combat.
I honestly prefer RDR2 over the GTA series, so I'm glad theres more RDR2 comparisons coming out. This is my opinion and I'm fine if anyone else disagrees
Tengo la posibilidad de jugar a los dos juegos, y ambos me parecen dos obras maestra. Cada uno con su historia, sus personajes ,graficos, detalles. No podria compararlos, solo disfrutarlos.
The last of us tiene texturas, fisicas increíbles Red dead redemption 2 tiene texturas, fisicas, historia, ambientacion, buena fauna, misterios, banda sonora, personajes, Variedad excelentes
I love how realistic these 2 games are...last of us 2 is probably the best and most realistic zombie game...while RDR2 is basically reality... The force of the pistol while ellie is shooting is very realistic, because she's very small...
Not really since the Beretta 92 model pistol she uses would have an all steel frame and have very little recoil due to the gun being heavy, plus it's chambered in 9mm which doesn't kick a whole lot anyways.
A story driven game with a questionable story is a masterpiece? Lol, seems like people see a lot of attention to detail and assume a game is a masterpiece.
The reason why it gets so much hate its because it won an undeserved game of the year award, in the story the most loved chatacter of the last of us (joel) gets killed and then you get to play as the killer for almost half of the game, also people dont like it because there is too much gay in it.
TLOU II gets the hate merely because its a zombie game. Come on, Resident Evil and The Walking Dead are on the market for a decade and then another zombie game got an award? If the game of the year is Star Wars with Mandalorian story plot and use the same game engine like TLOU II or RDR II.. it might not get the same hate even if it has alot of GAY RELATIONSHIP.
great comparison except one where I really didn't see the point in comparing ropes when they function completely different in both games. in tlou2 you use em just to get across places and in rdr2 they are used to lasso or tie a human and pulling animals
TLOU2 rope/wire, whilst brilliant, is in extremely specific situations, and all you do is throw it to a certain place it has to go. The RDR2 rope physics interact with ragdoll physics on other character models and interact with any object in the environment. Not quite sure how you came to this conclusion there.

TLOU2 is such an underrated game . It pisses me off that people say "Rip Naughty Dog" or "TLOU2 is trash" because of the risky narrative decision , after playing games like GTA defective edition , Battlefield 2042 , Cyberpunk 2077 . Games like this was such a breath of fresh air . Revisiting this game I appreciate it more , This game was a passion project made by triple AAA company which is rare in today's gaming generation .
Honestly, I agree with everything in this comment. Tlou2 took a risky choice, a more realistic and raw, complex story. It didn't have to satisfy anyone, and that's what makes it so special. It took its own risks and it payed off. The story is incredible, is just most people don't understand the complexity of it, and how the characters develop. People hate on it bc Joel died, and that we get to play as Abby. It pisses me off, because people are missing out on this masterpeice of a game, just because a main character died...
Yeah. I can understand that the story is pretty weak, especially Joel's death (RIP Joel), but I find the whole controversy ridiculous. Don't get me started with the "SJW politics" part.
Yeah, i agree. It plays well, it looks so damn impressive (like with every Naughty Dog) game and the story is, not perfect, but good enough. How is this bad?

@@kostasspirou1010 No. TLOU2's stor - "Revenge is bad mkay? Unless the character taking revenge is the character the devs side with." With a BOAT LOAD of contrived coincidences and just utterly mind boggling decisions made by characters (Like "hey. We have a top doc who's pregnant. Let's allow her to go/send her to the frontlines! MAKES TOTAL SENSE RIGHT?!" Or the Abby turning on her former friends on a moments notice. If it'd been about an actual cycle of revenge? Sure. But as it stands it's "Revenge is OK as long as the writers are supporting the character who takes it." (and that is ignoring the lengths the game goes to to change stuff from the FIRST game btw. Like race swapping Mr. Doctor and turning a run down shithole of a room into a clean pristine room for the flashback. And more importantly the simple fact that Ellie hadn't been their first possible "Vaccine/Cure" (FOR A FUNGUS!) candidate. And everytime so far it had FAILED. And the Fireflies are partially to blame for the state of the world to begin with.) Ghost of Tsushima's story is "Tradition VS non-tradition. How will Jin deal with his adoptive father disapproving of his new methods while Jin sees how Lord Shimura's rigidness of sticking to "The Samurai spirit" gets people killed unnecessarily? How far are you willing to go to fight of the mongols. And how will you deal with the consequences." (like the Mongols starting to use the poison on the people of Tsushima) It also was a love letter/tribute to Kurosawa Movies. About the gameplay - Ghost of Tsushima's combat is great. While the rest of the exploration is good. TLOU2's is TLOU1 with some tweaks and additions. And TLOU1's gameplay hadn't really been anything to write home about to begin with. It was serviceable. Also. Winner players choice in those fucking rigged game awards? Right. Ghost of Tsushima. After very strong sales at first TLOU 2 was lying on the shelves while Japan was running out of GoT Copies. Anyway. The simple fact that you go "I don't get it." basically tells me that any further argument would be a waste of time anyway. Since that already sounds to me like what I've read from FAR too many TLOU2 fans "I don't get it. How can you like a different GAME MORE?!"
