@@dreamcast3w525 It's not dev issue, it's management issue. I wonder how CDPR executives could have believed to build something more complex than RDR2 with 3 times less developers (500 vs 1,600) and in almost half the time (4 years vs 7 years). The figures could be even worse considering the number of people that should have been dedicated to marketing by building the fake ingame footage of 2018 and passing 4 years (2012 to 2016) marketing a game not in development. 15% of the ressources to build something more complex, no wonder it failed. And considering the result with such a limited ressource pool, devs did a very good job even though the game is broken, CDPR executives does not deserve the devs they have.
Guerrilla Games and Nintendo are the other 2 Studios when it comes to open World and next gen games. Horizon Zero Dawn and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild are amazing.
@@mohamedkhamouch5629 even though I'm not a fan of TLOU2 at all, I can't deny Naughty Dog is a monster when it comes to technical achievements and attention to detail
@@IAmEndlous They bothered to do that, and cyberpunk hasn't even bothered to do water gun splashes, or anything with water at all. Man that is more than lazy, that is a complete mess.
the thing that really made rdr2 a bit more realistic than most games even today is the lighting and shadow, they perfected those things like it actually feels like there are photons coming out of light sources.
@Ninja star it's ray tracing with multiple bounces, now with the option for full pathtracing. You're delusional if you don't admit that the LIGHTING in cyberpunk is better. Visual direction is great in RDR2 but raster lighting will rarely look as good as raytraced lighting.
@MaksKuaka I do not agree, rdr2 has more details and (way) better character models. Lighting in cyberpunk isn't good it's just super over the top and unrealistic, which makes the game feel plasticy unlike rdr which feels like a real place. Ray tracing just make the things even worse, most games actually look better on medium light setting( including rdr2)
RDR2 when you are not there- Everyone minding their own business and animals living their life. Cyberpunk when you turn around- they all ceases to exist.
i was honestly nervous cyberpunk would make everyone forget about this game but it's so amazing that u cant. this game has so many details that u don't notice unless u just sit and watch the sky it's insane
They can make silly excuse that the futuristic setting means the people and environment react differently than in the past. So people in the future unable to get wet or catch fire, disappear if you shoot guns into the air, can't swim, wont catch you inside the shop, etc
Here's a amazing rdr2 detail: you can actually hide from policemen chasing you if you hide in tall bushes. They will keep searching the area but they will not be able to spot you as you are hiding. They will also move to further areas in search of you. Rdr2 is absolutely beauty
That’s less impressive than how well ladders work in the game in my opinion lol. Hiding in bushes is pretty simple to implement and you can do it in some ancient AC games. RDR2 is a masterpiece though.
I remember when people said "Ghost of Tsushima is game of the year!" Some people actually said "Nahh wait till Cyberpunk releases" "Cyberpunk would be game of the year"
I put Rockstar Games way above other gaming companies out there. They are in a whole different league. Love how secretly they work on their projects and once released, are a complete masterpiece and generations ahead.
CDPR can't afford to hire over 2000 people to work on a game for 8+ years (rdr2) with no apparent budget. for being a game that was rushed in 4 years minimum wage, it turned out pretty good after the patches later down the line, it's currently a fun as hell game with one of the most creative and fun FPS combat systems i've had the chance to dip my toes in. You can't really compare CB2077 to red dead as they are fundamentally different, Love rdr2, but i would never replay it from scratch, meanwhile cb2077 is a game where the gameplay loop and insane build variety keeps you hooked, i've replayed the game 4 times now, once as a menacing samurai with perks and gear allowing me to infinitely slowing time and flying through them, another time as a mass hacker, where every quickhack spreads like a disease and you just watch everyone and everything blow up and break itself down, amazing. I'm currently using a build that allows me to stay in the air 90% of the time with nanowires that slash everything beneath me, fun as hell, story is also good but it wont hook you for more than 2 playthroughs.
I saw some article saying rockstar "allegedly" Started working on Gta6 way back 2016, idk if it's true but if it is then they hid that very well. No one think a gta game was in the making till the leaks started spreading.
cyberpunk 2077 feels like it would have a secret ending where it shows that it was just a simulation all along (assasin creed/matrix style explaining the glitches) and proceed to show the real world or some crazy shit that would be awesome
@@kymnam1934 Yeah idk, It’s such a shame... We all thought it would be a masterpiece and 1 of the best games of all time... Or at least, that’s what I thought... I still thinks 3rd person would have worked better because you can even customize your character! What is the function of customizing it when you can’t even see it 99% of the game🤷🏻♂️
@Screw Head713 amen, i used to preorder games and my consoles, untill the ps5 came out... i have refunded my preorder and built my own gaming pc, best choice i've made in a while. and i haven't even mentioned all the games that are ass and you still pay 50 bucks to play the beta.... such a shame
Talking about clothes getting dirty is otherworldly talks for cdpr since in cyberpunk clothes doesnt even fit the body properly. Body is morphed to fit the clothes. Next gen!!
It's almost like they spent more time advertising the game and saying. "Hey look keanu Reeves is in our game, you should totally buy it". And didn't spend anytime on making the game actually immersive at all. Just plain out said it was in game.
Dude, there are reports that the devs thought the game will come out in 2022-2023, and then they heard the PUBLIC announcement...hey..release is 2020. they be like: Nani the fuck?
@@muskularchicken that's the reason why I'll wait other 2 years before playing this game... It seems more broken than any other game (not for the bugs but for NPCs... And Bugs) and I'll give them some time to upgrade it and make it a good game.
If CP2077 released in PS2 era, the use of faux physics is justifiable. Nowadays, you got something like Bullet physics, and most public game engine already came with good physics engine built in.
This make you really appreciate Rock Star’s attention to detail... simple things like NPCs sitting on a bench seems so simple but months of work went into making sure it’s as close to real life as possible... we don’t think about it because of how good the implementation is.
Even in Gta V, sandals have their own physics, they won't stick like to glue to the character's feet, they do work like real sandals. It's a silly detail but ¿how many companies would do that? it feels like they really used the budget, not like cyberpunk where all the budget went to making different size dicks
Yea, I agree it's great on attention to detail, too bad not everyone wants to immerse themselves in a western, although I greatly appreciate what rockstar did I am just not into westerns, this is why it sucks so bad that cyberpunk 2077 failed so horribly for me, still can't play it anymore, done and beat it and is now just a blah game in my collection
@@hemz5882 well it won't last very long The entirety of gta story, dialogue and world design including the way peds looked was just the designers and writers mocking society, especially millenials. Every single mission in the game has dialogue that directly or indirectly mocks millenials. It just made people cringe so hard. Rockstar is taking this social parody thing too seriously. Even the fuckin peds were designed to look so stressed, now they just look ugly and constipated. All while rockstar glorifies stealing, killing, looting and mass murder. It also leads to messed up characterization like Michael, does he like his friends? Sometimes it seems like he did, sometimes he doesn't care. Extremely poor writing. And the games coding is questionable as well. Literally gta online takes forever to load cause the game gets stuck parsing a json file on a single thread. Poor dated gaming mechanics, cameras stuck on 3 different levels or first person. Heck Bethesda had better camera in oblivion. At this point, gta is only running on hype train it gathered over a decade ago. It doesn't have much to offer but no one realises it cause of the hype. It will be dead pretty soon when everyone realizes this game is extremely overrated
@@meghanachauhan9380 it doesn’t glorify crime in any way shape or form, the entire game is satirical (they make this clear by giving the player a psych evaluation when you beat the game)while giving completely true narratives on the current state of the US. not to mention Trevor Philips who in my opinion is the absolute best written character in game history. He reflects on the player with how his insanity/uncontrolled actions match up with the players innate desire to shoot random people on the streets/ cause complete mayhem when they’re not on missions, in my opinion you didn’t even pay enough attention to understand just how deep this game got. Your observation is surface level, and the game is a fucking masterpiece (it has its imperfections but it’s a truly amazing game)
Say what you want about Rockstar, but they always deliver spectacularly Edit: Yeah yeah, I got clowned. I should just delete this comment to save myself from the embarassment but I'm keeping it up to remind me that even rockstar broke our trusts.
Every since red dead online got an update a few months ago story mode has gotten buggier. And it’s pretty annoying that rockstar hasn’t bothered to fix it yet, considering how it was nearly flawless on release
You couldn't even run down the street in Cyberpunk without the game freezing and crashing.. For months on the PS4 it basically unplayable. Even today, on the PS5.. The games a mess.
It reminds me of My sisters husband who initially just started playing last of us part 1 last year.. he wanted to play it for a long time and just had the chance to.. but then after he played the first part of the game.. later that night.. he had a heart attack.. and died that day.. didn't even finished the game yet.. 😢 tragic day.
@@user-it1ou3jf9g I dont doubt it. its rockstar after all they spent money, time and resources on horse balls even tho it adds nothing to actually playing the game. If we are to assume gta6 is being built from scratch on ps5/X (hopefully) the gap in graphic fidelity between gta6 and rdr2 might be comparable to rdr1 and rdr2 and again its rockstar i might not be that far off

@@Cinnamontoastcrunch1029 actually i have a slim and I'm having fps drops in cities, even in small ones like valentine. But at least in missions fps doesn't drop.
Wasn’t there a quote saying that the devs wanted Cyberpunk wanted to be as refined as Red Dead 2? It’s only fair if they hold themselves to that standard
But we should, especially AAA development studios and especially those with pockets as big as CD Projekt Red. After a google search Cyberpunk costed over 300 Million dollars?!?!?!?!? WHERE DID THAT GO??????
I agree its ruined gaming for me. I compare everything to it and end up abit disappointed. Naughty dog do an alright job in the detail department to though! Also god of war stands out as up there with the best.
Those aren’t bugs those are animations and physics that haven’t been added to the game yet because it isnt finished.the bugs are the random shit like cars coming out of nowhere and tbh are the best part of the game
Not just hunt, but they can also fail at their hunt. More rare to see but sometimes eagles will miss their catch and it gets away, same with buck and cougars.
@Sick Pencil Hear hear. I've never enjoyed the Witcher games. Tried the first one, wasn't impressed. Tried the second one, same thing there - tried the third too and, nopes - couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. Personally I didn't enjoy RDR2 either, it is a gorgeous game and the writing is good, as is all the animations and so on and so forth... but I just can't shake the feeling I get when I play it and that is that I'm doing the same quests/missions/whatever you want to call it, that I did in GTAV, but instead of chasing some guy on a motorcycle, I'm chasing some guy on a horse. Still miles ahead of Cyberpunk, which is a shame cause I was really looking forward to something futuristic... when you've read Gibson and played cyberpunk pen and paper since your teens you feel sort of deprived of an amazing genre. Such a shame that CP2077 turned out so mediocre.
@Leave Me Alone FBI Bet they were like, “Well, since everybody’s going to assume that taking eight years to make it is a sign of it being a great game, we can just kick back and do what we want.”
@@grateshirtironer2972 not really, they just fucked up the resource management. They wanted a big open-world rpg with shit ton of weapons, dialogues and facial express and mouth syncing during dialogues (which is incredibly hard to do) they they did managed to do all that expect they couldn’t put them together and also ignored some of the essential elements in an open world game
Quite literally. Best company in terms of details, graphics and games, right next to Naughty Dog and Sony. Jesus, how did Projekt Red make The Witcher 3 (MANY bugs but still had better optimisation, graphics, details and story.) And then make this TRASH. I was laughing all throughout this video.
As they can't have dogs anymore in this world they had to adopt a substitute. "Good boy!!!! Who's the most awesome bench in the city? Yes you are! yes you are!!!"
Rockstar what have you been DOING for 8 years!? Rockstar: "Play the game and you'll see!" CDPR what have you been DOING for 8 years!? CDPR: "Play the game and you wont see!"
Not actually true tho. Cyberpunk has a ton of little details as well just no one usually points them out. In rockstar everyone always talks bout the detail meanwhile cp2077 has also a ton of little stuff that nobody cares about lol
8:10 also, if you have blood on your clothes in red dead and go into water and swim, there will,be a trail of blood behind you and you can actually see the blood fade away from your clothes.
When RD2 came out, half of the people who bought it could not even lunch the game due to GPU glitches, to the point where there were more "fix it" videos than reviews on RU-vid... Ppl have short memory.
@@janaleksanderkrasko7679 I can’t comment on the PC version of RD2 but the PS4 version was amazing right out of the box. I bought it in advance and played it on the first day with no issues. @@janaleksanderkrasko7679 You're speaking specifically about the PC version bro. Console versions were perfect from day 1. Plus, that's just bugs, ultimately. Bugs / glitches are the least of Cyberpunk's issues, tbh.
Just a question. I don't own RDR2 and the Gameplay here made me interested. I don't play fps games, I prefer pure Singleplayer Games like Ghost of Tsushima, TloZ BotW, The Batman Arkham Games and Spiderman 2018 plus many jump and runs. I heard that RDR2s story is great and would like to know if I have to be good at fps games to be good in the game because I'm really interrested and only heard good things about it.
@@nopsinops7547 You can play in FP for sure, but it's much preferable to play it in third person (up to personal preference though). In terms of shooting at villains or some objects in story mode, it auto-locks onto them if you aim near them (but you can turn that off if you want to), and there are some missions which may require shooting skills but in terms of skill from FPS games, it is not necessary.
