Rick's reaction to the new Citadel is telling. He actually likes the change. All the Morty imagery appeals to him. Looking back, it indicates that his previous dislike of the place stemmed from his own self-loathing, seeing himself egotistically exalted all over the place.

Depends on how much you are able and willing to take care of yourself - and of course, genetics. Some men look like gigachads even at 60 while others grow bald and overweight as soon as 25. At 0:12 you can see a Morty carrying around his own portal gun. I'm willing to bet he's from a reality where he accepted Rick's decision to end their relationship from the last episode. Instead of trying to continue the toxic partnership they had, he seems to have come to terms with how things have ended and is opting for solo adventures with just himself.

This is such a story arc. The first time Rick and Morty come to the Citadel in season 1, Rick is annoyed he is there and the first street seller that they see Rick says "Dumb", meanwhile Morty is infatuated by the place. Now this trip Rick is checking the place out while Morty says "Dumb" and wants to move on; rick even saying "aren't you cantankerous", as if he didn't absolutely hate it before . I like the attention to detail.

well given that every single time they have tried to kill and/or imprison him it ended with them not only failing... but a whole bunch of them being killed each and every time... that wouldn't surprise me. .....but lets be honest: the only reason president Morty pardoned him was because he needed to lure him in to scan his brain so he could finally do his plan.

I think that is the biggest complaint about the show. Season 4 and Season 5 are so random it doesn't built off from the loose ends of the previous three seasons...
