With our propensity for national amnesia this is a a wonderful reminder and refreshing! O that God would raise up men and women of like character in our day!
This is part of History it gives you a chance to see a re actment of the first president they have re enactment of Civil war no one makes fun of that so quit for a moment and enjoy the History of one of our four father's of History
May god bless this man for his selfless actions that held this country together during the war and the early years. To this day, I still say he was the greatest, most impactful president we ever had. We need to be teaching the next generations about all the troubles this man went through to hold the nation together in the darkest times of the entire war. God bless America and General Washington!
I would imagine that for the re enactment that the body of George Washington was a Wax figure that was made for this occasion and his real body is in the second Tomb along with his wife I am a big History buff I love the ability to watch this and other things about our nation that was very important part of our History today they don’t teach history in our schools and I think that is wrong I really think our History is important for our children today and I think they should bring History back in the schools so our children can learn what our ancestors went through I am asking that back in our schools Thank
He was definitely loved by the people. Wonderfully done in his memory. For those complaining in comments, just remember Re-enactments are for the history buffs like me. If they had antibiotics and the medical process of endotracheal intubation, he probably would have survived. The bleeding process was definitely a big no no!

We all have family that was in one of our wars weather it be the American Revolutionary War or Civil War War of 1812 WW1 or WW2 Keira’s war we have the chance in this world to watch a great video of the funeral of one our great Presidents of our time I had family that fought with General George Washington So don’t make fun of something that it is something that is a bit of our History and really enjoy this video we can look back on this and listen to different people speaking at the re-enactment
I'll have to go back and see if I can find where I read this. But there was another doctor, I don't remember who, he was young and he told the other doctor's about a "new procedure" called a "tracheotomy". It was dismissed by the other doctors. That could have saved his life if had been done early enough. I suspect by the time it was suggested he was to far gone. Not sure if it was the throat infection or the severe blood letting that killed him.
@@johnjacobo It upsets me after all he sacrificed for this country that he died 2 weeks before the next century. It would have been nice for him to usher in the dawn of a new century for the country he had a major role in creating.

Lawrence died of tuberculosis and Robert e Lee is a distant family member his wife Mary’s father George Washington custis was George Washington’s step grandson and adopted father and George Washington kinda took Alexander Hamilton under his wing also
