Mark could you please please please 🙏 put you old heavy metal intros. I watched you since 2016 and your Intros were the best. I've seen some of your posts guitar riffs and you are amazing player.
I changed my factory return to 6an and fitting in my 00 crv Havent had a chance to test it because I am doing a engine swap and a couple of more things getting done to it Hope I get to finish it like in 2 or 3 months
My sol had P/S I replaced the pump when it leaked but I low key refused to get rid of it because of this. I didn't want to loop then to back lol. I just keep my shit running
Honestly, power steering is worth the hassle. Think short term annoyance for long term benefit. I deleted the ps, ac, and cruise on my last Honda project because I was young and dumb and thought it would make all the difference in performance, but as I get older I'm really appreciating that stuff. I like not having to fight the steering in a parking lot, and it's not like Honda's hydraulic system is lacking in feel for performance driving anyway. Driving with p/s is just... so _nice._ I can't say I miss the whole 3hp advantage without it. My only leak experience was down to a bad bump, but I also didn't reinstall a full system into a car that didn't have it. With my new wagon project, which is very much in line with your "Dragon Spec" ethos (I'm building a road trip car to explore outside of Colorado and find good roads all around the country!), I'm keeping all that comfort stuff in the bay, and even going a bit further for the interior (Dynamat is a big one, to modernize the NVH levels, can't wait for that). It's not a track car, the weight isn't going to make a _real_ difference. I made up for it with a built engine. I just want to enjoy some great roads and not have the car beat me up over it. Hopefully Classic Hondas at the Dragon will stick around for years to come, and I'll join you out there one day!
I'll be there in a white EF wagon on GS-R blades this time. Accord unfortunately still "ain't got no gas (engine) in it" after blowing it up a month after we went last year. 😂😂😂 See you there Mark!
i have a b16a2 in a ej8 and i want to get back the power steering like when its d series, i have all the ps system of d series but the brakets dont fit on block and i have a ps pump and only the lower bracket of b series too the problem is im from Mexico and i cant find the upper bracket for that block (like yours).... my question is Did you know another options like brackets from crv or someting else great day and i love that integra great valve cover
Swapping to a different crank pulley? Make sure you check the Diameter of the pulley that you take off vs what you are putting on, different sized pulley will effect your charging voltage of your alternator.
I have a 98 integra ls and just did a gsr swap. I want to keep power sterring and I didn't know that I needed a p72 upper power steering bracket to run power steering. I had to buy an Amazon upper power steering bracket lol
Oh man, what a coincidence as I am running into P/S issues too 😅 not a fun job what so ever. Also, I think the plug you are talking about is a high pressure switch with a electrical connector? Idk couldn’t see much from the video. Anyways, awesome content man!
Is over-spinning the power steering pump an issue with that engine? Having done this on a stock LS, it's not really hard, other than that there are TONS of hoses and pipes and tubes, and I had to make a few of them because I couldn't find a replacement. The key, I think, and probably the reason that I didn't have the same problems with leaks that Mark did, is that I used mostly new or reman'd parts It's worth it once you get it done properly, though. The car is meant to have power steering, and it's way more pleasant to drive with it in there.
