That's the benefit of a video. You can pause and think about it for as long as you like. Dice rolling apps are also not true random, it doesn't really make much of a difference, and some folks prefer the tactile feel than having a computer calculate their luck. If anyone IS looking for an app that is great for storm counting, rolls etc, I recommend the Krarkulator, originally designed to help Krark/Sakashima cEDH decks and their pilots.

@@Taphosthewarlock you can't prove that "dice rolling apps aren't true random." Also, I saw a cool rube-goldberg/american ninja warrior dice rolling tower at my lgs the other day, I recommend.

@wayanc1880 MTG as a game is Babbage/Turing Complete. With the EDH banlist removed, I know of one deck which, as paper, can simulate multi-core quantum computing.

Bonus Round puts copies of spells on the stack, independently of whether or not the original spell resolves or not. Krark only who cares about spells you cast, not spells that are put on the stack as copies. He does not interact with the bonus round copies at all and they resolve normally

Yup, I messed up on the abrade. I probably would have still killed the Mana crypt and used the cathartic pyre copied to kill the magistrate. But you're right, completely different game a that point. Also, I was at 1 life and Matt had a gun to my head. Would you have just given up or fought to the end? Think of the memes!!!

@@stormincorbyn fight to the end, definitely! But tbh I would have killed you if I were the seismic assault player, not taking any chances! We have seen how nutty that deck and that commander can be. If you let it untap and cast its commander with that much mana, you are playing Russian roulette at that point, never know what can happen.

I have to say I think Matt had the right strategy this game. Corbyn knew he couldn’t go after Matt first because Matt would pitch a land to kill him. Matt gave himself the best odds to win the pod (as opposed to the best odds of taking out Corbyn) by letting Corbyn take out the other two players first and hoping to run Corbyn out of his ability to cast instants.

@Andrew Levine Yeah for the most part I agree but he definitely was skating on thin ice letting Breach resolve when he said he had an answer to it and did lol. Either way it was definitely an exciting game for sure.

We're open to everyone's opinions and feedback because it'll help us make this a channel that'll be enjoyed by as many different types of people possible. For every "Solitaire is the Devil" comment there are also people who genuinely like what I bring to the table. And for the record, I personally agree with you on the same cards argument. For example, out of my personal collection of decks I only have 2 decks with underworld breach and one is actually mono red. My storm decks have looked the way they have because I wanted to keep up with the rest of the table. Not playing Mana crypt when I know everyone else is, is a bit disrespectful in my opinion

There should be 3 copies + the original. Some time I was responding to the copies by letting the Urabrask and krark triggers resolve first and recasting the instant on top of the copies I didn't want to resolve right away. Technically, I died by decking myself when I finally fizzled. Lol

​@@stormincorbyn whenever you cast an instant or sorcery, if you lost the krark flip, you made 2 copies of the spell from 2 bonus rounds. if you win the flip, you get 3 copies plus the original. i mean even looking at the first spell cast after bonus round, ignite the future, you cast it 3 times and lost the krark flip, and then cast it a fourth time and won, so all together, you should have had 10 copies of ignite the future. The stack gets complicated for sure, but there were definitely issues resolving the stack properly on the storm turn.

I play commander with some friends, one buddy has played since magic came out. I don't think he's ever taken a turn that long. However, we play mild to spicy, so the combo craziness isn't so egregious. You guys are the best. I want Matt to resume his villainhood. Why does he always look so somber?

In a 40 life format putting yourself 2 turns ahead of your opponents is definitely worth it. I lost that game being super greedy and paying 12 life into Staff of completion, not because of the Mana Crypt

That's an opinion you can have for sure! I happen to think it's fun, it's like a ever changing puzzle, especially if people interact

@Skulduggery Kain Lol the majority of people definitely don't agree with you, that's why I don't play my Veyran deck a lot. Matt didn't look like he was having a good time sweating near the end. If he lost it would have been on him though for playing with his food.

It’s definitely not fun to play against, but watching it play out is insane 🤣

The game is complicated, and sometimes there's a loose line to a win and we have to play it out. This creates a conundrum where we don't have all the information our opponents have. Give me 4 decks and I can find a win-singularity with optimal play all the way down, but that isn't how Magic is conventionally played. Blame Wizards for keeping printing newer more explosive value cards that slide right into valuetown too easily.

Its boring seeing creatures just turn sideways all the time. Different strokes for different folks
