OMG!!!! We just watched your video and it SAVED our blinds!! I was about to buy a brand new one. We thought at first "Oh, there is NO WAY that is going to work!" And, low and behold, it worked like a charm. Thank you so much.
Thank you very much. I thought it would be a complicated deal until I saw the video. So I told my wife she may want to visit her mother while I "struggled" with the shades. As soon as she drove away, I dashed back and spent two minutes on each of four shades, then it was four hours of feet up quiet time, brother.
Brilliant. Except on mine I had to push the pin back in to lock the spring first and then wind it back up. It took me two winds to get the spring to pull the blind back up. Wooo hooo. My blind is working again 👍🏼💪🏼✌🏼
Unsure of the brand our roller shade is though? Not sure if they are universal, or select parts for different brands? I've tried turning the spring end over and over for a long time, and it does not get any tighter.
Do you know if it’s possible to resize this kind of roller shades. I need to resize one but the inner spring size seems like a problem coz that can’t be cut.
This isn't working for a fabric roller from Lowe's. The window and roller are 70 inches wide, the roller itself is a gauzy burlap type feel material. We have the roller down, shade rolled up, we tighten the tension and insert the two ends round and flat into the brackets and the minute we let go, down comes the entire shade.
