REACHER | Alan Ritchson on his new Prime Video series, taking on Lee Child's Jack Reacher, and more! 

The man nailed Reacher. It's the biggest compliment because it's almost impossible to live up to the character but wow he absolutely nailed it. Outstanding. Reacher is a trained killer because he polices Army as well as Special forces. Uses his elbows, head. His fighting style Ritchson also nailed.

Great job by Alan of course and did everybody notice Lee Child's appearance, bumping into him in the diner at the end?

There are a lot of Reacher stories to tell, hopefully this show will be around for a long time

I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who sat down intending to watch just 1-2 episodes and ended up binge watching the whole series! I am a HUGE Reacher fan! When a new book comes out I reread the entire series including short stories then I read the new book! So basically I the books once a year 😂 ABSOLUTELY PERFECT REACHER!!!

Alan’s passion for Reacher reminds me of Henry Cavill’s passion for Witcher and Warhammer. You can tell that he actually cares about the character and the books more than a typical actor. I love when we get shows with a cast that have deep connections to the characters that they portray.

Huge Reacher fan, must have read every book at least 5 times, and all the shorts and I watched the whole season in one go. I applaud Alan for his portrayal, I loved it, I did feel he became Reacher, there was very little divergence from the book, and the level of violence was perfect and exactly what I get from the books. When I read the books again I will have him in mind and no longer Tom 😁. I can’t wait for season 2. Roll on Oct for another book, then hopefully later this year for season 2!

Huge fan of the book series, just binged all eight episodes. Thank you Mr. Ritchson for bringing this character to life especially since you are as imposing as the book version. You probably shouldn't take the time to do anymore interviews and such since there is at least 19-20 more seasons worth of book material to get through. Chop Chop, let's just film everyday for the next 15 years or so while you are young enough to keep playing the character. This first season was fantastic and I would love to see "Die Trying" on screen. Well done!

This series alone is worth the annual subscription. Alan portrays Reacher supremely, bring on series two!

I remember watching the first episodes of the Titans and telling my wife that if they ever made a tv series of Reacher (mooted at the time) that this actor would be a shoe-in for the role. Having binge-watched the full 8 episodes in one night I can confidently say i was absolutely on the money. Alan Ritchson completely nailed it. I want to go back and re-read all the books so I can imagine Alan as Reacher in my head.

Ritchson is superb. The humour is prefectly balanced too. Loved the gentle banter over music tastes and Reacher’s t shirt. Hope he’s well paid and still doing it in 10 years.

I have watched all of the first 8 episodes by binging on them and thoroughly enjoyed every episode. By the way I have read all the "Reacher" books and am a great fan of the books. I believe Mr. Ritchson very accurately captured the essence of the character Reacher. It is also a huge bonus that he is built the way he is. He is MUCH MORE suited and played it better than Tom Cruise in the Reacher movie(s). I am looking forward to the next "book" stream! Great Job!

I've read 12 books. That was before the movie came out. So before movie and way before Amazon show I was literally laughing out loud with just the books. And this show nails it! And also nails it all. This is the true visual of the books! And thanks to everyone who made this possible.

Ritchson is humble, down-to-earth guy! I loved the Jack Reacher series of books by Lee Childs. Alan Ritchson does too and it's great that he wants to be true to the character and loyal to the fans. Excellent series so far!

My wife and I really like this series and love the way Jack Reacher is portrayed, spot on! But I had to show her some clips from the first episode of Blue Mountain State(she absolutely does not like shows like that) so that she could see the diversity of talent that this actor has. She was cracking up at the cookie race scene. We hope the Reacher series continues for a long time.

Just finished the season, overall I enjoyed it. Pros are staying true to the character and the violence. The one con for me was the bad CGI warehouse finale. It made things more fake and John Wick unfortunately. I’ll keep watching season 2! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a mysterious craving for peach pie…

I've watched all 8 episodes and I'm watching again. This needs to continue until season 23 since they're doing a book a season.

One of the best series I've seen in a very long time. I binged it in one day. Being a huge Lee Child fan, I had high expectations of the casting of Jack Reacher after the Tom Cruise fiasco. They did not disappoint. Alan is 100% Jack Reacher and I loved every second of it!

Cannot wait for season 2, absolutely my favorite new tv show. How funny I held off checking this show out until this Xmas 22 because I thought no one could play Reacher like TC in the movies, that I also love. Man was I norrow minded and just WRONG. Alan is so FN good and takes Reacher to a whole new level, and a great support cast is just the icing on the cake. I'm In love with Willa.

I had previously picked out a face to picture when I read Reacher books... A former Denver Broncos/Baltimore Ravens two time Superbowl winning offensive lineman named "Mark Schlereth" who does tv sports commentary and appears on several sports shows had been my Reacher ever since Hollywood blew it with 5'6 Tom Cruise. Now I actually have a real Jack None Reacher firmly ensconced in my brain. Can't wait for Child's next book! And season 2👍😉♥️

This guy is Reacher now, I really couldn't think of an actor to do Reacher justice except possibly Micky Rourke from 20 years ago, but this makes total sense to me, Alan is perfect

Alan has said he hopes to keep playing Reacher until he's 100, and if that comes to be, my only regret will be that I won't be alive to see the last of it.

Massive fan of the books and binged all 8 eps over the weekend and I was blown away. Alan fits the Reacher role perfectly and it was the first tv series I have ever left a review for on Amazon, heres to more seasons to come with that huge selection of books to bring to the screen.

I also binged the series...Alan Ritchson was everything I hoped he would be and added a few extras to the character that made him even more interesting, such as his passion for the "science" behind his actions, fighting, anticipating the actions of others, motivations of other characters, etc. Ritchson was also able to convey the chemistry between himself and the other characters without straying from the essence of his insulation from his social environment. The cast was also excellent and largely held to the Canon and brought life to the story line in a way that was never over the top. A+

Alan was great! And is Jack Reacher--My parents read all the novels and thought it was nuts Tom Cruise was cast. My mom died before the series came out so I'm hoping she's watching from the other side. I hope it's a success and we get more series!

I've read everything Lee Child has published, and I was starving for more - but not another movie with Tom Cruise trying and failing to play the character Lee created. Less than a week before I heard of this series I had just re-read the first Reacher novel, intending to work my way through all of them again. Then - bang! - up commes a Reacher series played by a genune big guy, and the previews showed he had the chops to brng the book reacher to life. When Amazon released it, I binge-watched all eight episodes, barely stopping to eat. I was more than satisfied with this new Reacher product. I am looking forward to the next series, but I will continue with my re-reading of the whole book series. Having re-read 'Killing Floor' recently enhanced my enjoyment of the new movie version. I think it was a bit of a spoiler when Alan said he'd really love to see 'Die Trying' made into a similar series. That book just happens to be the second in the Reacher series... maybe they intend to follow all 22 or whatever books, and do them in order. That would make me very happy.

After the massive disappointment of Tom Cruise this was just wonderful! I've read every book and within the first few moments I realised that show was spot on. The Reacher I saw in my head when reading the books was right there on my TV screen! Perfection!

Alan managed to be intimidating as Reacher should be. He's like Frank Castle, a hulking ex-military man who looms over the bad guys.

In my humble opinion Reacher is the best TV series on television today, bar none.

I was very happy to see that they finally got an actor that fit the part . TC is a good actor but there is no way he can pull off 6’5” and 250 lbs ain’t no way in this world. Can’t wait for more seasons to be ready I will watch it all as it is released. I still get bummed out thinking about the movies (worlds tallest midget cast as jack reacher did any one in production read any of the books? )

I expect that Die Trying is a hint - we know they're green lit for season two, and the second book is a natural. I hope to see them do Persuader, but that's the seventh book and I hope I don't have to wait until 2028 for it!

He has done the best possible job of the role. All his Reacher characteristics are perfect, but his quiet smirk and his military 'Dumb Insolence' stuff are so perfect I can't believe it.

It was a fantastic sunday watch! Needs to be 22 episodes or longer though - how about 3 books in one season? 24 episodes per year would be great! :)

I binged the series and loved it as well. I thought Alan’s acting was pretty bad, but for some reason he still became Reacher to me.

The Reacher books are great! The series so far has been good, noticed some fight stunts that were not all the greatly done. But overall it keeps me entertained and follows the book. 👍🏻
