I have a good acquaintance who is friends with Alan Ritchson. He told me that Alan was not sure he did the character justice. I told him to tell Alan that, in my opinion, that he effin' knocked the character of Reacher out of the ballpark!!!!
You read the books and you look at Alan you just have smile. He is Reacher! This is only the second time that a character from a movie/series was perfectly cast from the book.
I went into the first season not really expecting much after being encouraged to watch it by a few friends. I got into it after the first episode and glad I was swayed into watching it. The show is so good, Alan Ritchson's one liners are brilliant and completely deadpan. As much as I enjoyed Tom Cruise's portrayal of Jack Reacher in the two movies (hope I don't get hate for saying that), Alan Ritchson's version of him is so much more true to how he was in the books, they picked the best person for this show and the subtle comedy they throw in as well makes it so much better.
No hate... Cruise played it his way, and as a long time Reacher fan, I actually enjoyed the interpretation... BUT... This is, like you say, a lot truer to the book, And Richson plays Reacher like he was born for the role.
Missing the scene where Roscoe follows him and Reacher confronts her by saying “what are you doing here? You’re ruining my investigation.” That was hilarious
What’s missing from modern action movies is the art of one liners and being able to have fun while still taking the story seriously. Alan Ritchson would have been a household name if this was the 80s.
And even worse is when he continues "didn't kill anybody. At least not recently and not in this town". He would definitely get prosecuted for all the killing he did later as well. But well, that's a superhero show, you can only expect so much realism in it (:
@@ИванБорисюк-п7э Are you dense? How can he be prosecuted for people he killed under orders in the service of the US military? That's not how it works...
Best series on Prime, no fucking doubt! Can't wait for season 2! And more after that, they better do more! Alan is amazing in this show, he is the Henry Cavill of The Witcher...the man meant for the job
This is better than that, that is worse than this blah blah blah Can you guys just stop comparing those two versions? Did Tom Cruise take your electricity bills? Did him f*ck your wife? Or killed anyone which went against the law? No, he didn't. Even Alan said by himself that he didn't want to compare those twos. What a shame. Minding businesses which ain't yours is never good. And no one ask you for that. Take your time to do something's better for your life. Peace.
Im so annoyed that Reacher is coming back on a weekly drop. Reacher is best binged all at once. So now I gotta wait even longer before I can watch it (as if there wasnt a long enough wait between seasons). Prime, you got some good shows. You dont have to wait so long to drop the next season.
Those weren't "Reacher" movies. Just because he put the name on there doesn't means that it translated. They missed the mark. This is 1000% better in every way.
A man who has nothing but the change in his pocket and a toothbrush would be rugged, have body hair, untidy stubble and so on. This is a good show just that the first season make it look like he has been travelling for like a week
I don't really understand Reachers reaction to the cab driver. The driver wasn't insulting, he was just stating that a massivly jacked dude is in his cab. Which was just a fact.
Frankenstein is often referred to in popular culture as Doctor (Dr.) Frankenstein. Though in Shelley's novel he was an amateur scientist who was not in possession of a doctorate. Details matter.
(REACHER Season 1) really set the bar up high. I mean, really, really, really high. I don't think that (season #2) came close to that bar. Yeah, it was still good. Better than any other show. BUT as good as it's own (season #1). nope. I don't know if any other show will ever clear that bar again. Here's hoping the (season #3) will prove me wrong. I mean. Reacher already showed me he can (do it). I'm hoping he was (holding back). And I still haven't seen what he is capable of.
