“They can’t all be good.” That’s what I said when I first chanced upon them. Before long I was through their entire catalog. Several years later I still haven’t found a mediocre song. As I worked my way back to their earliest work it’s almost like they were born writing amazing music. Thanks.
Small correction, Dany is the lead singer and guitarist. Paulina is the drummer and of course Ale on bass. Everything from the Teatro Metropolitan show is fire!
Seeing TW live is great, but they put a lot of time, effort, and money into making their omv's, and they are part of their creative output and expression. They did create them for our entertainment, so don't overlook them. Even consider doing a double rxn because all the omv's are high quality, and there are nuances in the song not readily heard live. For instance, in Evolve, there is an air raid siren in the background heard during the breakdown that isn't audible live. The omv for Choke, they played the song 26x to get all the camera shots; Alejandra was suffering from vertigo as she was recovering from extensive oral surgery; afterward, Paulina couldn't lift her arms to wash her hair; the water crew were in the pool until 5:30 the following morning. Just my thoughts on not avoiding their omv's. FYI: Daniela guitar; Paulina drums; Alejandra bass. 😊
12 years of greatness on their RU-vid channel. Dany, lead singer-guitar player, Pau-drummer-vocalist, Ale, pronounced aah-lay, bassist-vocalist. All write and all play piano.
Time and time again they are demonstrating their dominance in the rock and roll market. They are the future kings of world rock and roll. Long live The Warning
Bands like this do not come around often. There are no bad offerings from The Warning. Every song has something (usually more than one something) in it to surprise, delight, and amaze. These three sisters are grand masters (mistresses?) of their craft. They're the perfect storm.
Yay more Warning. Yes every performance is that good. The Hell You Call A Dream is my favourite (today). When people say there are no rock headliners, or modern music is crap, or whatever - bands such as The Warning just show how wrong statements like that are.
i watched a reactor looking at Pau covering "Creep",, was caught right there,, and,, what? she's the drummer!? Teemark entered the rabbit hole!! totally appreciate your musical expertise!
I agree with you completely; their studio recordings and their original music videos are always entertaining and worth watching, but The Warning is a *LIVE* band at their core. They're always at their best live. Dany (the guitarist) is the main vocalist here, for the record :) Pau (the drummer) is on backup. Pau does sing lead on about 30% of their songs (see Dust to Dust from this same concert for an example).
The Warning are all thriller and no filler. I've been around a long ol' time and never have I been this blown away by a band. They are the group that has ripped the space time continuum like no other. Recently, many who were around when The Beatles were still active are making the same comparisons to The Warning. Of course the biggest difference is The Warning were just kids when XXI Century Blood was released vs The Beatles were young adults with their debut. The Beatles were a very important band to music and the same is true with The Warning. Catchy and hooky songs that don't need to be 7 minutes long. What other band in 60 years has ever had an 11 year career (and already becoming icons of hard rock) that started when the youngest member was 9 (Ale)? None that's how many. Gene Simmons was completely wrong. Rock is NOT dead, because The Warning are showing us how it's really done. Fun fact: Choke was really out of Dany's range and it was suggested (I think by their producer David Bendeth) for the song to be dropped to a lower octave. Dany was having none of that, because she worked on it relentlessly and nailed it. She continues to nail the song beautifully every time they play it.
Paulina (on drums) does sing lead on some songs, but this was Dany. Dany has worked very hard to become the singer she is. Her improvement over the years has been spectacular. As young teenagers Pau was the better singer, though singing while playing drums the way she does requires more energy than she could sustain for a full set. Dany however could sing with more power and has more range, but it took longer for her to learn technique and control. Plus, playing guitar uses less movement/energy than drumming. She is amazing now.
The Warning released a new album last week. It's quite eclectic, with their most pop friendly sound so far in some songs, but also with their heavier tracks as well. Regarding bands that you might not know, check Porcupine Tree, or really anything by Steven Wilson. From PT, most RU-vidrs react to "Arriving Somewhere but not Here". I also recommend "Fear of a Blank Planet". Several live versions available of both tracks. Or from SW, "Luminol". There's a good live version from a concert Wilson played at Teatro Metropolitan in CDMX (same venue as The Warning)
Elas estudaram piano clássico. O conhecimento musical dá segurança. Pense: demora 50 anos, para algo tão diferente. São 3 irmãos. Não tem como ser mais perfeito.
Hey Erol! "There has to be a bad song somewhere". Nope. Actually, "Choke" is my least favorite song on the "Error" album, and I love it! That tells you everything. hahaha. BTW, it's Dany on Guitar and lead vocals. Pau on drums and Ale on Bass. Rock On, and Welcome to the Rabbit Hole, my friend!
Has anyone updated you on their newly released Album, "Keep Me Fed?" It dropped Friday, 6/28. They also played Jimmy Kimmel live!! Check it out. Songs you already reacted to, but you gotta check out other lives, and new music videos!
