Jude scored the last minute goal with a difficult acrobatic shot to save the team from elimination. Scoring is the main point of the game. It’s probably the hardest aspect of the game. That’s why the average score is 1-1. Let’s not act like Jude got it for no reason. No goal. And they get eliminated even with Mainoos great performance.
Questions have to be asked about how Kucka stayed on the pitch. He was on a yellow card and made multiple fouls that ought to have seen him receive a second booking but nope. He even kicked Rice half way up Rice’s leg yet that wasn’t even a card. That doesn’t excuse how completely awful we were. We didn’t deserve a result. But it was just weird how Kucka survived being sent off.
Jude should have gotten a red for real though. Dark Yellow, tactical and running arm first into the keeper 2-3 times… He’s very lucky to not be sent off
As a Slovakian that was painful minute from making history but gg’s to England and props to our team we were the heavy underdog and didnt get smashed like i thought increadible goal by bellingham aswell that moment of magic that he has not everyone has that in their locker
Watching them on the pitch it’s like they hate each other but when you watch them off the pitch they all seem to get along very well and be pretty close group of players.
The issue is not that we “parked the bus” today, it’s the lack of patterns and the speed at which we move the ball. The complete lack of balance on the left makes us predictable, but we haven’t been coached. I’m a grass roots UEFA C coach and even I can see that we are hoping and waiting for our players to pull something out of the bag. Austria are the complete antithesis of England - they have a set way of playing and have the personnel drilled to play that way, both in and out of possession. I’ve been a big defender of Southgate as he has done a lot to change the perception of the England national team over the past 8 years, but this feels like a competition too far for him, especially with the players we now have. He needs to reflect on the last four games and make the correct decisions - if he can’t, then Steve Holland, Jimmy Floyd or the senior players need to be on him.

Right hand my man, i have found a person who sees the same. We all know the saying; 2 heads are better than one. England should play a 4-4-2/4-3-1-2/4-1-3-2/3-5-2 players need to learn this system coz they are good enough to do it. Southgate got a lil lucky too, he must start to see this.

Saka had to play 4 different positions in the same game, Walker and Kane played so bad all game but Kane scored and Walker had that throw in and now everyone forgets what happened

For how England has played compared to Switzerland, Switzerland is ABSOLUTELY the favorite against England. Switzerland's quality in these 4 matches has been so underrated. They're definitely the best opponent of England so far in this tournament, and they're significantly better than the other England's opponents with which England played terribly. So, if England plays like they played the other matches, Switzerland will indeed destroy England like they did with Italy, with no shadow of a doubt.
He put Saka LB because we had no other lb and he actually started as a LB, Saka went to RWB in extra time but I have no idea why Eze was LWB, that's why he put Konsa out there
Gomez has played LB 15+ times for Liverpool this season. Walker can play anywhere across the back line. Shoehorning Konsa to play there is so unnecessary. Taking Luke Shaw to the tournament was a waste of a space. Why not put Walker LB and Trent as Inverted RB? That way we can push Bellingham further forward and play without the 2 holding midfielders.Bring foden into the middle ahead of rice with Bellingham, saka on right with Gordon on the left
She’s 34…tf are you on about. Kane is about the only player on the pitch with a level head & maturity to keep everyone in check. Sure he’s not the most fit striker on the planet but he did win the game.

But since neither was sent off, outcome of the game would have been the same as it was. If the cm was sent off, it would have been before Jude. What’s to say England wouldn’t have won comfortably then. If Jude was sent off, what’s to say Slovakia wouldn’t have won the game comfortably. Fact is, the ref started handing out dodgy yellows at the start and pigeonholed himself. You say disgrace for not sending off Jude cos you have your own bias, that’s all. Nothing wrong with that.

Reached playing-champs-in-terrible-gameplay levels of anger watching us yesterday. Absolutely woeful performance from pretty much everyone involved - Bellingham bailed us out. To not have a shot on target against (respectfully) hugely limited opposition is a disgrace. To go with the same system again after the first 3 games was absymal. Foden cannot play LW - has to be dropped. Drop Saka to left back and play Gordon or Eze and put Palmer RW. Kane was useless - I don't know if it's fitness or something else but he strolls around, doesn't make any runs. It was a great assist by Toney but imagine what the players are thinking seeing him being brought on and it's the 94th f*cking minute! I know what was saying - what's the f*cking point!??
The other thing worth noting is that Southgate did do a lot to change the atmosphere around the National team after it become very toxic for a number of years up to 2016. There was a lot of good will there probably right up to the end of the last Euros - when a lot of England fans criticised his woeful mismanagement of that Italy game which cost us the trophy, and were roundly told to shut up by the media. Well look where we are now. If we'd lost that game - and to be honest if we play like that again and go out in the QF or SF - then we are completely back to square 1 with a whole load of toxicity around the national team, and Southgate has essentially achieved nothing. And I don't have any faith in the FA making the right appointment next either - they clearly had no succession plan in place as it's utterly baffling how he's been given a 4th tournament.
Southgate is a joke - He needs to play Foden in the 10, he has looked like Englands biggest threat when he is moving in those centeral areas and is preforming better than Bellingham. We should be using Gordon on the left as it would stretch defences and would be a much bigger threat Bellingham needs to play in the 8 next to rice, he is out of position and we are seeing it in his prefomamces, we are missing his energy and his box to box threat from the first game, moving him to the 8 would not changer anything but his overall game has been poor and he isnt our best 10 just like Foden isnt our best Lw

@@sneakytacos773 Simply look at the stats, Foden is our most creative player, compared to bellingham he has made 4 more balls into the box and 6 more into key areas, that's with him covering more distances running all round the pitch and playing out of position in a system that won't get the best out of him, Bellingham has got good defensive numbers and that's what he is best at, progressing the ball from deep and making dangerous late runs unmarked.
Even as an Englishman, Mark and everyone else need to calm down, and don’t talk about anything other than this Quarter final. Because, we currently don’t look favourites for this game (on how each team has played), no mentioning possibility of semi or finals. Thats the issue with setting that precedent early in the game. He refused to give people a 2nd yellow despite giving them the 1st yellow for the exact same foul. Prime example of why you need to let the game run a bit
