There is a long time and still active music producer and musician who saw this and said this. " 2 things to take away from this. First, all you need to hear are the first few lines she sings and when that vibrato comes in, that here, is a musical prodigy regardless of age. Second, there isn't one in a thousand singers, at any age, that can sing a song Acapllea and stay perfectly in tune." Great reaction Britt!

I am so often amazed by her courage - it would be nerve-wracking for a seasoned professional to do song acapella in such a setting - yet this little girl seems completely in her element. Also, her courage can be seen on other occasions when she takes iconic songs (like Bohemian Rhapsody, I have nothing) which many are afraid to even attempt - she takes it and say this is my song now.

While Angelina certainly owns a lot of songs written by others, I think she is so humble that, like in one TikTok video when she says “now, let’s give this a try”, she is thinking, ‘I wonder how it would sound if sung this way?’ It just so happens that her ‘tries’ sound better than everyone else’s finished work.

Angelina said in an interview when she was 14 years old “I have to say if it wasn't for the unconditional love that came from Billie Holiday's legendary music, there would not be Angelina Jordan today. I am very blessed today that her music found me very early,” she says.

To me "It's deje vu all over again" when I re-experience a performance by Angelina Jordan that I have seen 20, or more times. I react the same way as I did with the first viewing, I tear up, I have to tell myself to breath, and I feel euphoric no one else on earth does this to me by singing.

The dozens of hours she had to have spent listening and studying and practicing to absolutely NAIL this the way she did. Plus, child singers tend to rush through the song to get to the end. Not this miracle child. Steady, slow timing throughout. Finally, kids also cut the notes to take their breaths this young as their lungs are not developed. She didn't cut one note, not one. Amazing.

"This is the video you show a non-believer." Love it, Brett! Child prodigy. Musical genius. Whatever you want to call her, little Angelina Jordan was paying homage to Billie Holiday-her number one musical inspiration-with her song. As we know, Angelina goes on to do that with Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, Adele, Michael Jackson, and others with their songs. But she turns them into her own. Look what she did with Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and Elvis Presley's 'Suspicious Minds'!! I've seen comments that Angelina will be releasing a new song in late April and her long-awaited album in the fall. Whenever it does happen, RU-vid will be inundated with hundreds of reactors playing and commenting on each song. Hopefully all of her angels will purchase her album driving it into the top 10 rankings. Something really great to look forward to!! Angelina is singing this a capella. It has been put to the music and she doesn’t lose pitch or tempo over this prolonged period of singing a capella. It is so easy to go up a little in pitch or to speed up a little and she just doesn’t. That is so amazing!

Thanks, Britt! There is no truth to the matter that half of the contestants left the talent show after they heard Angelina sing. And, that poor young girl in the red dress who had to follow that. I wonder if there is a clip of her stepping up to the mic and perhaps having a chat with the judges before she started to sing. Besides the fantastic voice it is so remarkable to watch Angelina work her way through the song with no background music. She went into that 'zone' and once there, nothing can distract her focus.

This is the video I saw Angelina for the first time. I was surfing RU-vid when I came across this and was compelled to take a closer look at this little girl with the missing teeth. What I saw and heard has lead to an everyday obsession for close to two years now, listening to the most touching voice I've ever heard. I can’t believe it took you so long to react to this performance, I thought you reacted to the video with all her Norway’s Got Talent performances. Yes, her initial audition with “Gloomy Sunday” was eye opening, but this performance was so above anything else they would hear, that this is when they started to pay very close attention to her, and Omar, the young judge, said that after this performance he, and the other judges, observed her rehearsals and witnessed her also arranging her performances and directing the musicians as to how she wanted them to accompany her, and that’s when they knew she was a prodigy. Of all the performances of Angelina at this age, this is my favorite followed closely by “What a Difference a Day Makes” which she performed shortly after she won NGT, and they still are two of her best to date. She also performed this song in a cameo performance on the TV series Lillehammer when she was still 8 years old. I still can’t believe what I’m hearing when I listen to her perform this song a cappella, and I’m a huge Billie Holiday fan!

Could you imagine being one of the other contestants standing behind Angelina knowing they were goin to have to follow that! This was a judges round where all of the singers were asked to sing something acapella so every one of them were going to have to now be compared with just their voices to what they just heard. If you do react to Angie at 6 covering "I who have nothing", made famous by Tom Jones and also Sherly Bassey. To all Angels....We all enjoy watching reaction videos because it gives us the chance to share reactors' experiences with the emotions we initially felt when we first viewed an artist's performance. Yeah..the incongruent thing is that Angelina is 8yo in people years here but in artistry years she is already like 35yo! And the other staggering thing is that she never rushes (if you're ever gonna rush it would be in this a cappella setting -- to get out of the intense spotlight quicker!). Her Grandmother had Long Playing Records of Jazz Music. One of the people Angelina listed to was Billie Holiday. It is Billie Holiday that Angelina is copying when she sings. If you listen to Billie Holiday you will see that Angelina has learned from her.
