As a tamilian who has always wondered how Malayalam movies have such brilliant realistic female leads, I am appalled to see how on the contrary the television industry in malayalam is so openly regressive..

The culture of Kerala is extremely hypocritical. They’re also very ill-mannered people, especially teachers and instructors. Malayalee parents usually never let their daughters wear a sleeveless top, but they eagerly look forward to the raunchy dance numbers in films. They also are horrible at keeping pets like dogs and birds. The average Malayalee pet dog develops extreme aggression due to lack of affection and proper treatment by their owners. And newspapers love to portray dogs as rabid, vicious animals that will tear up even little kids on a whim. I am an NRI Malayalee and I am someone who isn’t too patriotic or bigoted either towards my culture. However, there are a lot of bad things in Kerala culture that needs to be changed.
@@JohnLee-vg3ui I agree. Im also an NRI . I love the food, the places and of course, mostly the youth and that culture because it’s a balance of both. But the true hypocrisy in the culture is terrible which is why I don’t like it there. People are learning how to take better care of pets nowadays but that’s mostly the younger generation. I regret not knowing dogs BECOME aggressive because of how they’re treated because ever since I was young I was told that only a few aren’t aggressive. I think india overall has this culture , even worse in some parts for sure . Like I said, when I interacted with younger people I could see the change! But the middle aged and older generation is absolutely beyond repair. So obsessed with unnecessary things. The men also have such fragile egos, the cops never take us seriously if there’s an issue, moral policing adults in a relationship by blackmailing them to tell their homophobic/casteist families. Like, the culture has to change. Probably in 50 years, it would be transformed greatly but even then there would be people with the same mindset because of shit their parents taught them

Yes ! In fact she speaks like she does not know Malayalam, which is okay (language is a personal preference) but butchers English language. I am surprised that every time some one gives an interview, there are hundreds of trolls that would follow except for this lady. Why is everyone (especially the film industry) so obsessed with being fair, putting makeup, etc? Everyone has a right to do whatever they want..to appear the way they want..not everyone has to be like you to be a real artist, to be respected, etc

I am 22 years old now and haven't touched make since I guess I was 16....I don't think we need make up to look pretty and all.... I'm happy with my skin and that's what the young girl also meant in the video. We don't need make up, which on other hand destroys our skin it's all in the mind that without we cannot come in front of camera and all...So glad brother you did this reaction
