The 'PERFECTION' is about Jhin's part in the cinematic is how his four shots are actually tied into it - each shot is made to lead Camille into where Jhin wants her to go, from rappelling up into the air and over the chandelier where more of his traps are set, and finally during the bow it shows he still has his fourth and final shot, the finale to his show as it were. "On carnage I bloom, like a flower in the dawn", "I don't kill anyone, it is the performance that kills, they will dance!"-JHIN
@@cythereafairchild2323 I know , Camille probably one shot him in the game :) but still the best scene in LoL cinematics for me .. I m a Jhin main and fan ...
Draven is not a coward! He threw her sword to cut her chain so she could be at her top. Also 4 random guys would not make riven tired they were her warmup XD
Yeah they're supposed filmmakers but they don't even get the very basic visual storytelling of a 3 minute cinematic made to appeal to the largest crowd possible.
@@Cassandra_Steel that was unnecessarily harsh. They have the right not to know the lore of each champion, as the predecessor said. This comment section was meant to highlight how funny it sounds, that Riven might be tired of something so mere, rather than making fun of them. Let's leave it this way.
@@CorruptedProgram She isn't friendly, especially to zaunites. But she somehow sees herself in Vi. Camille to Vi: "Watch it, girl. I am your future." And "Mmmh... it's like looking into a crude, boorish mirror."
@@OfficialMediaKnights sadly due to the pandemic and everything surrounds it, 2023 had a pretty sad(dest) one. They said to already had the cinematic done but not ready to show to everyone, so they had to stall till 2024, so stay tuned for the next year! Gonna be epic
@Minh Hà Phạm I think considering what they gave fans all the many years LoL cinematics have been a thing, I personally feel like they can be forgiven this time. The pandemic f**ked alot of things up.
One thing to notice: the guy from the arena (hes called Draven) is a seasoned war veteran, and the most famous fighter/executioner of that arena - hes the "champion" so to speak. And the girl thats bought up (her name is Riven) is an old childhood friend of his. Hes absolutely bored when he sees the random gladiators fight bc he lives for the spectacle of exciting fights and the cheering of the crowd. So when he sees his old friend brought into the arena as a prisoner, and despite being chained and unarmed STILL beating up all the other gladiators, he breaks her chains by throwing her own weapon to her, and then jumps down into the arena himself again, finally facing a worthy oppnent, and giving her a fair fight. The fight ends in a draw btw, bc another big villain interrupts it later on (happened in an ingame event). Both survive.
Small nitpick... she had already broken the chains (dropping them to the ground while "mic dropping" his ass (hee hee) to his eyes)... Thinking he WAS interested, just wanted her armed for either a fair fight.. orrrrr, I suspect... a more FUN fight for himself :) (re: this -> "he breaks her chains by throwing her own weapon to her" )
glad to see a super nice reaction to 3:16. a lot of content creators skip past or simply do not make a reaction to it which is understandable if you're not too into league lore. it is by far my favourite shot in the cinematic since it captures jhin's mind and his "performance" so well. he does everything with precision to lead camille wherever he wants her to be, not wasting his final bullet to complete the performance. everything he does has a thought behind it and the way he conducts himself and plays around his victims as if it were a performance is just amazing character design. this is why i main the guy
Probably the best cinematic to come out of League. I think you guys misunderstood Draven (the guy in that kind of Colosseum). He's not a coward, on the contrary, he's an executioner who loves to give "a good show" to the audience. Seeing Riven (the white-haired girl) defeat so many opponents made him excited. The sword he throws at her (which is Riven's weapon in the game), is just to make it a "fair" fight since he is also armed. I would rather say that he considered her a worthy opponent.
OMG. You guys are taking the journey I hope you'd take while I was watching your reactions to Arcane. I was hopeful that you'd appreciate the show so much that you'd want to dive into the lore. These music videos will eventually lead you into character bio's. Enjoy the journey!
Also! For what it's worth. You guys are really good reactors. You show a lot of emotion but also understand the nuances of EVERYTHING you're watching. Then you come in with the great analysis. Your videos are highly consumable lol
Thank you so much for watching with us! After Arcane we just fell in love with the way Riot was choosing to tell stories. They’re absolutely masterful at it and we’re so glad we got to experience these with you guys. Thank you so much for watching our reactions and for your kind words. You guys have been nothing but amazing❤️
@The Media Knights their cinematics give me feelings that not even Star Wars and Marvel content has given me in a long time. That sense of something truly new and amazing that I wanna just immerse myself in. I think the way music is so integrated into just about everything Riot does really sets its creative works apart.
Draven(gladiator stadium) wasnt a coward. He was excited that there was finally a warrior worth fighting that had appeared. This first sword he threw is actually the womens sword because he wanted her to have it for their fight.
Heyo! Love the reaction! As another comment pointed out, the guy at the colosseum (Draven) doesn't actually want to harm the girl (Riven) one thing the other comment missed to point out, is that they are childhood friends, when he looks pissed is because Riven is not supposed to be there and it's putting herself in danger, plus if you look closely when he throws her sword at her, he breaks the chain she was bound by! These cinematics always have these nifty little details!
Thank you guys for the added context! It adds a lot more depths. Gosh we really would like another League of Legends show. Even if it wasn’t Arcane season 2. A longer cinematic showing us these relationships would be perfection ❤️
If you haven't seen them yet, you'd dig the opening ceremonies for their esports worlds final. The live show production is as top notch as their cinematics. The 2019 Worlds Opening Ceremony where they perform this song live is especially breathtaking.
It's not because he is a coward, its because he was bored of arena challengers that couldn't ever be worthy. And then Riven showed up and thats why he became interested.
"Tales of Runeterra" is a great little series. They take you to a bunch of different territories and give you a quick flavour of the world design. Can't recommend it enough... Also "Annie Origins" is probably the best short story out of any cinematic, and the animation is inspired... Honorable mention to "The Curse of the Sad Mummy" just because I'm a Tim Burton fan, and the song is great!
well ofc... altho the opposite could still be possible... the animators making the animation with the music ready is (i am guessing i aint an animator) easier
A cool detail is that when Camille looks at the traps, her eyes go from orange to blue. In game she has an adaptive shield that is a different color based on whether she takes "physical" or "magic" damage. The eyes changing color are her cybernetic eyes analyzing whether the traps are normal explosives or magic ones. And as someone said, he is bowing because he is a serial killer and still has his 4th shot in the gun if you look at the canister. He is obsessed with the number 4, and the 4th shot in game is SIGNIFICANTLY more powerful and has a little explosion effect because it's his "finale". He basically baited her with 3 shots into jumping straight at him so that he can shoot her with the big one.
Draven, the guy at the coloseum, threw Riven's sword, breaking her chains and giving her weapon back for a fair fight. He is a showman not a coward and please, those other gladiator didn't even make Riven break a sweet.
Calling Draven a coward when he literally only jumped down there both after acknowledging Riven as a badass, AND giving her weapon of choice back to her. Right lol
Each time i listened to this song, it's immediately sending me back to Memories of 2022 regional qualifier. It was one of main songs played during intro of BO5 and on between games. It's now vividly anchored in my head at it is link to marvelous DRX run.. I still remember Deft, Zeka, Kingen, Pyosik faces...and the counting.. What a story.
from an animation pov, the only fail in this is the lack of feel of real inpact - like when sion (the big dude) knocks over Irelia and she collides with the ground tumbling back from the impact - it's lacking. 1:45 it's more like the bounces of the ground more then anything, and the hair-movement is really stale and bad that you can judge from the same shot. Other then that I love this video the song is great with it.
Guess I was expecting something similar to "Music Producer reacts to RISE" where someone in the profession provides insight :S. Anyway others seemed to enjoy it, kudos.
Draven was bored AF in the Arena and when he saw Riven fight he was excited for the first time in a while. he broke the chain so he could face her with her weapon with no shackles... the Riot version of "1v1 me bro...."
@@AhmedAmineAzzaz well, i had to deal with that myself, where my whole team couldn't take down 3/7 Sion lol qnd he just barge in, kill turret, die, then return and do tye same again
if you didnt notice, he actually was luring Camille directly into his trap. when he bows in the final scene of their fight, when he puts his gun on his back, he has ready his 4th bullet, which is his most powerful shot.
Thank you so much for your kind words!! Ever since Arcane, we kinda fell down this rabbit hole and have just been having the best time exploring the world of LOL! Thank you for the support!!
