Reacting to "I HAVE TO RANT ABOUT THIS ILLOGICAL GAME" 

It’s crazy how much truth was spoken in this video. EA losing the FIFA license is actually one of the better things to happen. We need to realize we play this game because of the brand name rather than it being an actual good game or at least only for the nostalgia of the old FIFA’s.

Inception makes like 5 reviews a day, he plays the game everyday, so I respect his view a lot, I haven’t played fifa all year but came back around TOTS, I have a really good team, enjoyed the first fut champs I had like a 60k team and got 13-7, then now I can consistently get around 15 or 16 but instead stop at like 11-1 just to minimise stress, the game is so boring especially if your opponent has an OP team. The game is genuinely a waste of time and a card collecting game.

I rage quit 5 games in a row earlier, the exact same scenario occurred in each of the games to lead me to do this, the initial gameplay was scrappy, then it settled and i went 1-0 up, then i proceeded to quite literally dominate all 5 opponents, creating chance after chance but completely unable to score a second goal, shots from all angles, blocked, saved or wide, at halftime on each game i went in 1 up, then in the 2nd half absolutely everything stopped working for me, my players couldn't pass at all, my attackers couldn't control the ball at all so i couldn't even create any more shots, my players all became slow and clumsy and my defenders just kept walking off or changing positions resulting in my opponents being allowed not only back in the game but to basically have free run of it, for 5 straight games this happened to the point of me actually predicting what was going to happen. I've watched several videos recently of other people basically predicting what would happen in game! This is not a football game, its a badly formatted, AI rigged abomination of a card collecting con. Its the worst Fifa ever made.

He’s been saying it for years. The diff btw manual registration and ai is so true. Select your defender and place them in the passing lane, the ball magically avoids you. Let the ai do it, interception 7/10 times.

When Inception said he goes up 2-0 and prays to the gods that they don't comeback... I felt that deep down. You should easily be able to hold off an opponent at 2-0 let alone score more goals after the 2nd is scored. Well said Inception and good takes Nick.

It's funny how the best part of UT it's gambling in Player Picks or Packs to see if you pack something crazy. That's it. To a certain extend I prefer Volta for the fun or Pro Clubs for messing with the boys

Seeing these rant videos when done in a well broken down, albeit passionate, way is so refreshing. Clearly stating what I, and I’m sure lots of other people, have been thinking for AGES. I don’t even play ps5 so there’s some of the stuff that I won’t relate to as much like the park the bus simulator but there’s other stuff, like the bullshit randomness at times and the inconsistent gameplay that so few people talk about so it’s so nice to hear someone actually say something. Sure EA don’t care and won’t fix it cuz they’re getting the bag regardless, but just hearing somebody sharing the annoyance that we feel is so good to hear. Two 🐐 in this video

I want to thank you Nick for presenting eFootball for me. It has been so much better from gameplay view that I cant even describe it. They feel more authentic and bullshid what happens there is at least sometimes explainable, unlike in FIFA.

In past fifas, lets say fifa 14, I remember dominating games with rapid one touch, two touch passes. In this fifa, I find that passing rapidly can be effective if, and only if, you take more than two touches. The tiki taka play style doesn't seem possible because it is so easy to intercept passes, especially for AI. You have to be much more creative and patient. Which, on one hand, feels realistic. In real high level football, losing or winning is dependent on who capitalizes on the opponent's mistakes. You just have to wait for them. That is why counter attacking is so effective. But at the same time, fifa 22 feels unrealistic because it demands too much of the attacker, if your opponent knows how to use the AI effectively. I think its frustrating. However, I don't find it absurd. Scoring goals in high level football is, well, difficult. I find on fifa it is too for someone who want's to play good football but its definitely not impossible. Most of the goals I score come from maintaining possession around the opponents box, drawing defenders out, dribbling to make space, shielding the ball, and making a series of short passes, especially against stronger opponents. I play on old gen, though, so maybe there is a difference.

I LOVE football, however every year FIFA is released I find myself quitting the game earlier then the last, this FIFA I quit in Jan, next year probably November, efootball was so refreshing and proves that with just a little care football games can go a long way (not saying efootball is perfect but have to give them respect to bounce back from the mess it was when it released)

There are 2 or 3 angles and plays that most people use to score. That’s annoying and linear. And there’s one meta way to defend because those ways to score are too powerful. So we are left with a stalemate game that’s decided by bad gameplay or luck.

You know the problem of EA is that they don’t want to make a good football game, they want to make a good money-making game. All the issues in the game are actually encouraging or forcing people to buy FP to get the full meta player. They don’t actually give a shit when real players don’t enjoy the game, they just got eye on players that spend loads of FP.

Fifa has had the same problems for 5 years already, it is all about the engine. There will never be a good Fifa with this engine. This is why Fifa 12-15 was the golden era, the game was built on a completely different engine

The sad part is that gaming as a whole has just became less fun because all people care about these days is winning and meta, they don't care for scoring beautifull goals and testing out fun unique teams. Its all about the meta and winning.

I've been on PS5 since launch and I've just stuck with it. I haven't played a single game where I used drop back tactic. either balanced or pressure after possession loss between 42-55 depth. everything he says about defending is spot on. it's a trend I noticed pretty quickly, and as someone who's always preferred manually defending, I've actually started counting how many times I manually position for an interception and the ball bounces off me and back to the other team in some way and counting how many times it happens to them when they ai intercept (a huge portion of the player base plays drop back and never selects a defender) and it virtually never happens in the way that it does to a manual defender allowing your ai to do so much for you should not be the way the game is played, but further, being punished for manually putting your player in the middle line of a 30 yard pass for it to bounce off them and put the other team through on goal is a shambolic example of a football simulator the only next gen tactic I use is direct passing, and because like he said, it's the only way you actually get attackers attacking. even still, I want to score bangers and tiki taka goals, not skill chain with insigne for every goal, which I usually have to do at some point every wl

They should implement in the game somthing that could give any information about the way each played game will have. For example: In "X" game the oponent have a "X" % of probability to score headers, to score long shots, to score inside the box, to have injuries or even depending on the amount of supporters in the stadium if possible. If we have such information the player will have a challange on how to play that game in particular. If the weather is havy the way the players move in the pitch is different. Could be more fast or more slow. Have a button where you could activate the 12th player (supporters) in order to give this emotional moment that every team has. This is maby non sense but in real footbal every condition makes each game feal diferent. If we have such information prior to the start of the game we can adapt our tactics to that environment. Hope this makes any sense to not feel alone hahahha

I agree that the market is the one thing that is less in the control of EA but back in fifa 19 that market had such growth and inflation. It was very fun to navigate, and the reason that market kept growing was because most people in that game were making a good amount of coins just naturally. This game has way too many untradeable packs. The most expensive tradable card I have "packed" this year was Ice Valverde, and even that was compensation because I packed his gold out of some random marquee matchups pack that I opened when I found out EA had messed up. After that the next most was Cordoba during TOTY and I think he was worth like 180,000, and that was from a preview pack. and thats basically been in. All the Ultimate packs, Jumbo Rare Player Packs, Rare Mega Packs, Mega Packs and god knows what else and my best stuff has been like 5+ months ago. It gives no motivation to want to grind this game, yes untradables are nice because you can stick them in your club knowing that you can use them and don't have to constantly check the market to see if you want to sell this player or not but the amount of untradeable packs these days is too much

What’s so crazy , when I get a goal kick or when my keeper has the ball none of my players automatically go in a position to receive the ball . That’s the dumbest thing ever , how can I pass back to my keeper and all my players go forward ? The gameplay is so inconsistent , some games my midfielders come back and defend , most games they don’t , they just stand there and watch my opponent. Slide tackles are 90% foul even when u had a clear opportunity, it’s best to stand infront of the player with the ball to knick ball instead of pressing the tackle button. Every other game all my opponent players dribble like 99 Messi. I move my keeper in the direction the player is shooting and they choose the wrong animation , sometimes diving in the opposite direction. When I try to loft the ball it automatically triggers player lock , I liked player lock but it kept affecting me trying the loft (where the ball flicks up ) so I had to turn it off . Now the loft is super inconsistent, sometimes u click the trigger for it and it doesn’t work at all. Skill move cancel rarely works for me , when I try to cancel my player still Carries out the skill animation like it didn’t register , so I kinda stopped using it. Post TOTS is such a downer , it’s super boring and there’s legit no motivation to play the game . This fifa was really boring overall.

I’ve never seen a game reward players that let their AI defend for them it’s crazy how much the AI impacts your game you can get around the guy he’s using get around the AI then another AI comes outta no where to block it

I used to play fifa a hell of a lot when I was younger, but like Inception, I’ve discovered the same things he mentions. Literally started to play through some classic single player games like Skyrim and Read dead. I feel so much happier. Guys it’s not even worth getting angry over this game because the people who make it are the Glazer family of the gaming world. Shame really.

The hockey explanation made me realize that I am not the only one with this problem. I would also add that EA are targeting certain accounts (like my one) and doesn't let the people play at all. Like, my gameplay is always trash. There is no "oh maybe next game will be good", NO it's simply trash, all the time. Every game I get into, my players feel like they are on ice, my players can't pass a ball in 5 meters, my players are always worse even when my opponent has the same cards. And I don't even wanna get started on the defenders, like if I want to use Araujo tots, because I love him IRL and his card looks good, well guess what I can't because 98 pace (with shadow) doesn't actually mean 98 pace, so his attackers with 80 pace can just run past him and if I try to do a slide tackle last moment, Araujo just decides that he doesn't see the ball at all and proceeds to only take out the striker and boom penalty. I am not gonna rant about refereeing, because everything I do is offside, doesn't matter that there are 3 players keeping my one onside, it's still offside, and the other guy can sit next to my goal and still not be called offside. I am struggling to do anything because the game targets me like crazy. This also transmits onto packs, because I get a good player or a promo player that I want once every 100000 years, and then guess what, I can't enjoy them because the gameplay is garbage. For this I have 2 examples. One, the only player I have been able to fully use was WW Hazard. No other player was as good as the card or others were making it out to be. Second, I got Cantona from a PIM pack after 10000 icon packs full of Inzaghis, and guess what, 99 pace doesn't mean 99 pace so he moves like a tank, I am forced to play him CAM because of course I can't get past CBs with 60 pace, because of this inconsistency of this shit game. But instead of them crashing the market and losing everyone coins, they could just up the pack weight and make players more attainable. Or even make more players apart of this “meta” of the game. More of the cards, higher supply & Lower prices and you don’t have to kill the market. PS. Dupe theory and other pack theories is a prime example. I say that because there’s more than enough evidence to say sh*t like that happens

I play on old gen, and the amount of comebacks i pulled of got pulled off on is like 80%. Almost every goddamn game the exact same scenario. I go up 2-0 and get absolutley demolished in the second half, or its the other way around. For example, yesterday this guy was destroying me in the first half, he was 3-0 up, just dominating. I made two subs (brought on moments Henry on LM and TOTS Cancelo in the middle), and won the game 4-5. It was insanse, my TOTS Kounde was playing like IRL Maldini, he just could not do anything, and my TOTS Livaja and moments Dalglish gained superpowers. Livaja scored a finesse from like 35 feet, and he doesnt even have that trait. 95% of crazy dribbles, passes, shots, it was all landing. I genuenly felt bad afterwards. Absolutley broken game. Thats why Im switching to career mode. Fck UT.

Inceptions rant on money is the reason why im baffled how almost no streamers/content creators hire traders (especially reviewers). Like the easy thing to do is to just buy coins on a new acc and only use it for content, but if you wanna stay within the boundaries of the rules, hiring a trader fixes everything. You can just shareplay your account with them if you’re scared of breaking the no account sharing rule and, I know ALOT of traders that can easily earn 500k a day if they want to and only stop seriously trading if they get bored. If not traders, then investors. Heck, investors get a shit load more and on top of that, they won’t be on the account 24/7. Not only that, alot of the traders only trade either to sell the coins, to make content themselves or as a hobby/ they like doing it. Now imagine if they were actually paid a decent wage to do what they’ve already been doing? Bro, they’ll probably trade / get even more coins.

I do think the following tactics help make attacking AI a lot better: 4231, one CDM drop between defenders, fullbacks; attacking (d-pad), overlap, LAM/RAM: stay forward, get into the box for crosses, free roam, CAM: stay forward, get into box for crosses, ST: stay central, false 9. Fast build-up or long-ball, very low width in attack.

Since fifa 17, ea has: removed 90% of attacking ai; added manual gk moving; added player lock; nerfed the hell out of second man press; added full team press with the click of a button; made defending ai 100000x stronger; nerfed rewards; destroyed league sbc’s; made 90% of sbc’s gambling machines; destroyed icon sbc’s; destroyed drafts; destroyed fut champs; removed futmas; slowed the game down to a snails pace. How has the game only gone downhill from fifa 17?

Yeah agree with Inception on the differences between old gen and new gen. My biggest gripe is with the jumping system on new gen. As in what the eff is up with players doing half jumps and all? Infuriating that.

I feel like I'm a really above average player when it comes to the game and left stick dribbling but the problem is I've never enjoyed the game doing skills. So now I can barely win a match because you're required to do 10+ skill moves in a buildup to just score a tapin

That thing about player runs popped into my mind when my 97 OVR Salah all of a sudden moved away from the free space and into the opposition's player and my brain crashed for a second

The lifting of the leg animation when you’re trying to intercept the ball is maddening 😡

Those annoying moments when your opponent takes a shot and it hits the post or crossbar and instead of your defenders reacting to clear the ball they just stand and allow for your opponent’s player to tap it in and your goalkeeper can’t do anything because he’s still down from attempting to make the first save. And why is it that this situation occurs like half of the time between the 85th-end of the game and the other half before that. Does it make sense to have the same situation occur about the same percentage of time when one is over the span of 80 minutes and the other just 10 minutes? Does this mean that if you hit the crossbar in the 20th minute you’re less likely to get a rebound goal than if you hit it in the 90th even if it’s the same shot? Does this mean that defenders have better reflexes in the first half then take a nap in halftime and come back sleepy a’f in the second half? This is why I didn’t buy the game this year and decided to just stay looking at RU-vid content but I can still see from gameplay footage that it’s the same game that it has been the past few years.

The defender through ball glitch happened me thrice today. But when I used my vieira to control cbs they defended very well.

The only formations you can use in fifa 352,3421,4231,4222,442,41212 every other formation you use puts at a risk.that’s what I’ve been doing the past month testing formations and they all have problems. It’s bad that ea dnt allow the players to player exactly how they want to. The fact that 100depth is the same as 30 depth is insane. I concede so many goals because my backline stays at the back when I want to them to hold a high line .

This is soo true. I play the game for 3 months Im not the best player but every match I have like 20 shots and my opponents have like 5-10 and they win something like 3-2, because they park the bus and I cannot do shot cancels elasticos etc in the box, I try to left stick dribbles but 9/10 I lose the ball. And 90% of my shots are blocked and their shots arent because they score some BS counter attack goals

The problem you grind to get a card you’re happy with and then they release the same card but with higher stats so you’ve done all that work for nothing and have to grind again for the upgrade.
