@@ekzxty I do disagree, a bit at least, a lot would guess Galatasaray to progress or at least make it close with Man U, I'm an FC Copenhagen fan and even I would never dare to have predicted this result, I'm so happy
@@ekzxty I honestly didn’t think Copenhagen had a chance till I saw them play their first game against Bayern. Once I saw how hard they fought and how close it was I was confident they’d at least get third considering they did very well against one of the European giants. I was expecting United to crash given their atrocious form. They don’t have Ronaldo and DeGea to save them like they did before. United haven’t been United since Sir Alex departed, it’s delusional to think United had any hope of doing anything in the Prem let alone in Europe. People need to recognise that the club is a joke both on and off the pitch
I'm from Antwerp. I didn't expect us to go through or even make Europa, it was a bit embarrassing when it looked like we would be the only team to grab 0 points, but for our European campaign to die with an upset victory over European giants like Barcelona, it's about as glorious a death as the campaign could have had.
I thought that win over barca was seriously impressive... they fielded a strong side and wanted the win, you beat them fair play. Had a better group stage than united!
@@chriswoodtoarsenal Oh yeah. When I saw Lewandowski was starting, the literal third highest scorer in the history of the competition, I was terrified. Even when we were winning but the likes of Gündogan, Pedri and Cancelo were subbed on I thought we'd lose, but for the team to hold on and win even after a 91st minute Barca equalizer, incredible. Proud of the lads.
Real Sociedad are a very underrated team. Looking at their XI, most of them are capped, there’s a reason why. Merino, Zubimendi, Oyarzabal, Kubo, Tierney, Le Normand, Remiro, Traore, are all capped for their NT, while Brais Mendez, Barrenetxea and Zubeldia all played for the U21 team. Great coach too. I’m surprised not many people knew about them but like Irish Guy said they will be the surprise package of the UCL.
Not last, but I remember back in December 2012, CFR Cluj finished 3rd with 10 POINTS in a group with Braga, Galatasaray and Man United (which they actually beat at Old Trafford) losing 2nd place to Galata only on head to head. For me that was a tough end to an extremely rare Romanian UCL campaign.
I think Napoli once finished 3rd with 12 points, with three teams tied on the same points (Arsenal and Dortmund I believe?), but only losing out on head to head 😅🥲
@@LuigiLuigi728 Yup! That was actually the season after, in 2013. Another wild thing that season was, while Napoli dropped to the Europa League with 12 points in 3rd, in another group Zenit managed to qualify in 2nd place with just 6 points! Porto and Austria Wien finishing 3rd and 4th with 5 points each.
Its good enough, Tesco is a much bigger shop that probably would have had a lot more people in it, he probably didnt want to get banned. Whereas in Aldi, he probably knew the manager, and its a smaller shop with less people
The Newcastle prediction being off is 100% excusable, 1/2 the squad being out would hamstring any side, yet we are still within the hunt for a return to Europe, have taken two exceptional scalps in the league cup and have a Tyne & Wear derby to look forward to in the FA cup, oh and we took the Champions League "group of death" to the final game, what exactly have we got to be disappointed about? Onto the next one lads.

Neither did I as a Dortmund fan. Judging by our performance in the league, it is kind of a miracle though. I expected PSG to win and the other three to be equally strong so anything could happen there.
I can’t be the only one who doesn’t get why he’s rimming Newcastle so much ? Yes, impressive win against psg but that was literally the only win all group. They were poor against Dortmund home and away and against Milan away, they were so lucky to leave san siro with a draw. And yes, they got robbed against psg in Paris but at the end of the day Milan were also chasing a win against Newcastle in the final game, they naively pressed so high all game as if Milan didn’t need a win either and underestimated Milan’s counterattack.
@@Maseball. yeah he never says it outright but everyone knows (like the way he said "imagine being a Newcastle fan".. he often says stuff about fans for Newcastle, much more than any other team lol). He lives in Newcastle too. So yeah, once you notice, you see that he treats them differently than other teams
Great predictions this year congrats you smashed it but newcastle weren't that good. They only played one good game which was 4-1 win over psg but got smashed in every other one. They were lucky not to lose to Psg and Milan away when they got dominated all game long, but that being said they did better than most people tought.
Correcting your mistake: If PSG hadn’t gotten that penalty against Newcastle, they would’ve finished 4th due to head to head against Newcastle. Newcastle would’ve been third, and Milan 2nd.
Not much of RvN influence at PSV: RvN's best players left, they replaced them with better players and replaced a conservative coach without a plan with a coach who knows what he wants and can bring it on to a group. Bosz is extremely attacking and but also makes the defending players who made hella mistakes under RvN play good because Bosz knows how to use them.

PSsg should have had an earlier pen anyways, and its not psg fault they could not win any other games, yet newcastle fans blame this specific moment and end up dead last
i dont really blame the group of death predictions (bar dortmund) bcs newcastle looked like they were going to go through in 2nd by some point, milan finished 3rd, and psg were top by one matchday, idk if dortmund were ever bottom tho
I don't think newcastle were naive, they have too many injuries at the moment, but I'm sure they can grab another ucl qualification in the coming years
Tbf to Irish guy 17 is the same as what I got only difference is I got 1 spot closer to actually predicting the group cuz of his horrible Dortmund prediction
