This was great, you actually played really well! its just that it was against Chen Long.. even minute differences in skill produce walloping differences in the score outcome. The top end guys are just so damn far ahead. Great game though, glad you can look back an enjoy the moment.

Hi Ben, you actually played really well against Chen Long. Obviously he is on another level which most players would struggle to beat during his prime.

I've met some truly amazing players. Not sure I've met anyone who could put score 10 points against Chen Long though!

To people thinking that this guy is just bad and should not have competed on such level. Know this, Chen Long is one of the best players in the WORLD! You're pretty much against a wall if you're against Chen Long. To make that play and stay in the game for so long despite losing both games by a difference of 16 points. He still is better than most and to have the courage to do this is incomparable.

When he won the Olympics in 2016 it looked to me like he was like a living wall. Congrats on playing such a high level!

Chen Long recently became father. Olympic Champion and a proud dad.

Love how at 6:13 Ben says "that's probably the best rally I've ever played in my life" and then immediately Morten pipes in with "that's probably the best rally Ben Beckman's ever played in his life"

Chen Long is almost unbeatable in 2015-2016. Thereafter, for some unknown reason he became a different player and sunk into a slump and ... fortunately he is now slowly recovering and making his way back to form (though still a far cry from his top form)

Ben scored against Chen Long. My best chance would be to nail his shoes to the court, and I am not convinced I would win even then. It's not that I see myself as a weak or inexperienced player, merely that Chen Long is inhumanly good.

How was your preparation to the tournament? What was Kenneth Jonesen contribution?

LOL. Surprise surprise. The racket selector recommended a Yonex racket. At the moment, I use the APACS Stardom 100 racket which I believe is about right. I used to be a Yonex person back in the days of Razif & Jalani Sidek (1980’s) but don’t rate them now because they are really expensive. Anyway, a good player should be able to pick up virtually any racket and play a good game.

video was perfect, the racquet selector however takes an age to get back to you in an e-mail and is quite long winded, its more of an e-mail to get you to join and subscribe to a club rather than give you just your results, i get that you want to help people improve and take the information in but this probably isnt the best way to go about it, maybe make a video on the subject rather than force it down my throat in an e-mail, just my opinion
