You may check out "my everything" by Taeil, Renjun, and Xiaojun from their second Album Resonance, I really like that song, to me their vocals shine in that song.
i got you, the line "my baby said she wanna dance with a ghost, she wants to leave me." ghost= ghosting (i'm sure you already know what this means, but just in case it basically means to drop all contact, specifically as a way to "break up") anyway, it's basically a long winded way of saying their baby wants to "ghost" them which leads us to "she wants to leave me" leave as in ghosting. they pretty much explain it in the lyrics lol. on the brightside, a lot of people missed the reference so you're definitely not the only one haha
I still think NCT 2020's resonance would be a good album for you to react to. It has a large variety of songs in various combinations of units so it would be a nice mix for you to listen to. Personally, the songs on the "universe" album were hit or miss with a few that took a few listens to grow on me. I don't hate it, but I'm not as attached to these songs as I was with last year's album. My favorite is WayV's Miracle. To me, the way I figure out whether I like a song or not is “am I still listening to the song months later?” Because there are a lot of songs from groups I love where I’m like “Man! This album is a no skip, every song is soooo good!” But then 3 months later, I find myself skipping past half the songs whenever they come on my playlist.

The first thought that came to mind too, but people don't know that until they get to know WayV. It's not even just the "Chinese" unit as there isn't even a singlular Chinese dialect going on amongst the members. You got Mandarin, Taiwanese, Wenzhou, Cantonese, Thai as well as many fluent English and Korean speakers. Hell even German. I'm so use to WayV singing in English now I don't even register that that wasn't their intended creation.
Yangyang singing and rapping in his fourth/ fith language just blows my mind everytime. Also him being the third youngest in the entire of nct. He is so young yet has so much talent.
While WayV is technically their Chinese unit, it's hard to put a clear label what exactly they are. They're not really Kpop since none of their members are Korean, their music is mostly in mandarin, and they are marketed towards China but I don't think they're entirely C-pop either. Aside from the members and their music being mostly Chinese, they're not really a C-pop group; like, they were produced by a Korean company; their albums, music, production is all done through the same channels as a Kpop group. Then again, there isn't a clear definition of what makes Kpop and what make Cpop. But it's more than just the language a song is sung in, because otherwise, we'd be calling Little Mix's korean version of "Wings" Kpop. In a ways, WayV is kind of a mixture of both Kpop/Cpop, they don't fit in to either mold perfectly and I guess that's what makes them unique. WayV themselves have said they are a "global group" and have emphasized their language abilities and releasing songs in muliple languages, I mean in WayV, there's 6 languages that at least one of them can speak fluently and probably a few more they can speak conversationally. So yes, it's not suprising to see them release english songs and they've also released some songs in Korean as well. Whenever WayV or one of its members releases or features on a song, it's always a fun game to guess which language the song will be in because you truly won't know until it's released.

Doyoung in "Know Now" is so funny to me cause I instantly remember his "Now I know" meme last year during resonance 😭 Meanwhile "Ok!" is such a meme-worthy song. I feel like I would say that ok line everywhere, of course with the same attitude as the neos singing it to add more spice whenever I just wanna feel good and dance. It also feels like they got the idea to write the song from Mark's OK tagline that he said whenever he's nervous
I like "Birthday Party" because it had all the "Work It" members from 2020 minus Ten plus Chenle and Shotaro. Would have loved to see some of their interactions as they were, at least for me, the funniest and best subunit of NCT 2020.
Round&Round didn’t come to play lmao😂 from what I saw it’s the favorite song of most NCTzens including myself. I really didn’t except to love every song on this album as much as I did but it’s definitely one of my favorites in 2021!
Resonance had way more songs, and is still the gold standard for NCT albums as far as I'm concerned. But Universe is pretty good on its own. I love more than half of the songs and the diversity in the vocals and styles is awesome. Thank you for taking the time to react to this album. Hope your enjoyment of it grows as you listen more.
Doyoung is my bias and Taeil probably has the best vocal techniques but oh my god Xiaojun’s voice is my favorite! it’s so full and the flavor he adds while singing is everything to me

Sweet Dreams and Goodnight are the songs that I really love even at first listen. That has been my fave type of songs since day 1. I mean day 1 like since 2010 where I only stanned FT Island (known to create rock ballad and acoustic songs back then) for 5 years before stanning a group/idol which was so happen to be SHINee.
I think the reason why Wayv is singing in English in this album is probably because of the sensitivity between CH-KR. Chinese kpop artists especially from SM have been receiving a lot of hate since forever. Kun and Xiaojun were criticised for singing the Chinese version of "Back to you" in 1 of the music shows in korea. Since this album is a project for NCT as a whole, I have a feeling SM is trying to play it safe this time.
it's actually probably have nothing to do with it because in NCT 2020 they sang in Chinese They may be wanted some variety tho, it's not their first song in English. Although they may have decided to go for English for safety, all their releases this year (apart from Kick Back and Chinese version of Back to You) were in English But still - not necessarily considering Nectar
@@depressed_firefly Miracle became Wayv's 1st song ever to debut in Melon top100. I think that says a lot abt them recording the song in english for this particular album. Sure, they had few English songs before, but those were from their chinese albums.
If it's a track they're not going to be actively promoting in China, WayV will do either English since its neutral or Korean if it's something they want to promote in Korea (sometimes they have versions in both Chinese and Korean if they're trying to promote in both countries). Koreans don't seem to want Chinese songs on their music shows, but will accept English... whereas in China, they're not really allowed to promote Korean songs, but English is acceptable.
I really wish you to react to NCT 127's first album, "Regular-Irregular" and their first Japan album, "Awaken". Maybe these are their most underrated albums.
Yay ive been waiting for your reaction! OK is hands down my favorite song off this album heck its now my favorite NCT U song. I also loved New Axis, Miracle, Dreaming, Round & Round, Earthquake and obviously Beautiful and Universe also. The album is amazing! In every NCT album there are always some experimental & more funky/weird(?) songs and most of the fandom don't really like them. It's totally okay not vibing with some songs. It's the same with me but after listening to it a couple of times now Birthday Party sounds a fun twerking song lmao
I really love the hip hop and r&b undertones of every song. Birthday Party is not my fave, but I appreciate its fun nature and jaemin killed it. I’m just grateful NCT dropped 3 full albums this year (+ WayV’s mini album).
Chenle and Jisung in " Vroom" truly amazing . Their voice are match together and it's so beautiful. NCT 's vocal line just perfect. Hope you react more about NCT
Good Night gathered all my favorite NCT voice tone without exception. What's more, ballads are my favorite music genre so yeah I won the jackpot with this unit.
I honestly don't get why people get mad at reactors for not liking a song or calling them liars when they say they do/don't like a particular song. I mean, isn't the point of watching a reaction is to see what other people think of something? Not everyone is going to have the same opinions as you or I, we're all different people and we have different tastes in music, that's why so many groups exists and so many genres of music is out there, there's something for everyone but at the same time, there's nothing that everyone will like. It just bothers me that people go out there hating on reactors for being honest about not liking a song but then also complain when reactors "won't admit" to not liking a song or lying about it. Well, when you constantly get bullied any time you don't like a song, you'd probably find it hard to be truthful too. As long as someone isn't being flat out mean or degrading about not liking a song (calling the artist talentless, calling the writers/producers stupid, saying it's the worst song to ever exists it shouldn't be called a song, etc), I don't think there's anything wrong with not liking a song.
my take on round&round wasn’t them being friendzoned but more of they really like that person but don’t want to ruin the friendship they have kinda thing so they struggle between confessing or not and ultimately decide not to and instead keep those feelings to themselves? if that makes sense😭
I think I remember what Good Night reminds me of. I used to listen to ballad, chill, calm and sweet songs especially when I was travelling a lot because of work. Good Night reminds me of (Sistar) Hyorin's song called "Hello, Goodbye" OST of My love from the stars mainly because of the instrumental or just the vibe and chill of it.

IT'S FINE!! I didn't rly like Birthday Party too at first but i began to fall for this song after SM editor put the instrumental version of the song on the current NCT 2021 Universe behind jacket photoshoot, if you listen closely to the music instead of the vocal part, the song is actually quite catchy! Well that is for me but i believe everyone has different taste in music haha..
OK! and a few others are songs that I keep coming back to... even more than first impression, it's really important to me that songs stand up to repeated listens and don't get old. When it comes to the line in OK! "she wanna dance with a ghost" I think there is a deeper way to read it. Yes, the possibility of 'ghosting' is there but when I hear the line.... she is not the 'ghost', she wants to be with a ghost. What is a ghost? It could refer to something or someone that is dead and gone. She wants to dance (be involved with, give her energy/time to) with someone who is gone/in the past... she is disappearing because she is giving her energy to something that is not the living, current relationship. I think that the ghost idea works on multiple levels which I think makes it more interesting. And I love how it swirls and repeats (and each rapper repeats the same lines in their own style). It's really mesmerising. You probably already know, the translation of these lyrics (if you really want to look into what they are saying, especially with Round and Round etc) in lyric videos is generally not great. It's too rushed to be carefully translated so look further to get into the nuances :D
I took “dance with a ghost” to mean she wants the old him but he’s changed and it’s causing problems because she wants how he used to be and that guy is “dead”.

Thank you for this reaction! I think you'd really like the resonance album and that way you can check out music from all the units. It's perfectly fine to not like songs, I for one really enjoyed birthday party and it's one of my faves but it's understandable if someone else does not.

I keep coming back to Ok! and Good Night ^^ I found this melody part of Good Night (48:46) similar to Yerin Baek's song "Maybe It's Not Our Fault (which I couldn't remember the title for the life of me after hearing that part for the first time, it was such a frustrating feeling) I especially loved your reaction to Xiaojun's first part at 49:20! I will just watch the first half for now as I am sleepy! So far for the songs (till Dreaming of Dream included), my favourite are OK, Know now and Dreaming. The combo of Know now followed by Dreaming is just absolutely perfect! Anyway, let's do a song by song comment : - New Axis: so yeah this is totally an intro song (introduced as an intro song when they gave us some information for each song, before the release of the album). I love how the 3 of them work together. It's a great song Universe (let's play ball): not played here but I still wanted to talk about how much I love this song. It's one of my favourite along with the ones I named before. I just love how they added layers of voices saying or singing something different to do the melody. I love how Jeno's voice was used there, both with his rapping voice, singing voice and the adlibs he does (the hype kind of adlibs). He was complimented before for his "hype" adlibs, they were good enough for them to be added as background vocal in song where he doesn't even sing or rap! And as a Jeno stan it was such a great opportunity to see many side of his voice. Also I can't mentioned how well the pair Mark/Jeno works well. Their voices have some similarities but are also distinct so they compliment each other nicely. That's probably why producers tends to always pair them together (except in Zoo... I really want to see you react to the SMCU Express song! You are a SM stan too now! So I would be able to comment about my absolute love for Zoo!). I also want to say I really like how everyone shines in this song. Earthquake: I will be really short. I really liked this song more than a good part of the songs 127 released in Sticker. This one is so 127. It had some great dynamics, it was unpredictable during the first listen, it had those industrial sounds I really like with NCT 127's music OK!: So... let's talk about that song! When I first knew about the members who were in that song... I was intrigued (5 rappers + 2 vocalists) but also ecstatic because I have 3 biases in the line up (Jeno, Hendery and Yuta). I normally don't love repetition in a song except when it really adds a quality to the song and here it does and I love it! I love how the same lines are repeated by the rappers but with their own pronunciation, flow and tone. It is great! It is more than great! We can clearly appreciate the quality of all their voices and flows, how they compliment each other. Also, there was one mistake with the parts in this song, for the last rap part, there is a Hendery part between Yangyang and Jeno. Except for the rappers. Yuta's voice shines a lot in it! He was the one who did the runs you were talking about. Ten's voice also sound great in it! Birthday Party: okay, I know people have some mix feeling about this one... a little bit like they did with Work it back then and... when you see the line up... it's actually the same as the Work it one but without Ten and with Chenle and Shotaro instead. It also has the same type of "party" kind of sound for me too. Back them I actually really liked Work it because it was something they never did as NCT (U, 127 or Dream). It was refreshing and fun. This one... I actually see it as a fun song and this time there is more lines for Jisung! (Yeah he is another one of my biases, I have 5 biases in NCT). I... actually... kinda like this song? Well it makes me laugh but I can see myself listen to it in the future too Know now: first of all, yes it was Jeno's voice and we are sure Taeyong is not in this song! More seriously, I really love this song! Once again I was intrigued because there was a lot of rappers in it, but the song has a R&B vibe. I also absolutely love Renjun's voice in it! Dreaming: this song is perfect. A Dream theme with a music box kind of music for NCT Dream. It's a new style for them but the song is still so Dream, so them! I absolutely love it! I wish I will be able tk see a performance for this song!

My ult is NCT but I don't always like all their songs especially at first listen so I respect when you don't like some as well. Their is something for everyone. Thank you for the reaction, I love your honesty. If you like Goodnight I think you'll like 'My Everything' as well from Resonance Pt. 2. It's basically the same unit of main MAIN NCT vocals of each unit, the only difference in this album they added Doyoung. If I had to choose a favorite album it would be Resonance but their all great albums so I'm just here for the ride.
I just love it because you liked the part of the Sticker album that I never listen to, and my favorite songs here are all those up to Dreaming - but not Know Now. I don't hate it, I just let it play, but I wouldn't look for it.
In the resonance albums (resonance pt.1 & pt.2) there's a few songs that you already know.Make a wish, From home, 90's love and Work it as well as Resonance and Resonance's chorus Raise the roof are all on there. But the other songs are really amazing as well so I think you should check those songs out🙂
Regarding Miracle, imo it actually makes sense that they would release an English song b/c Ten, YangYang, Xiaojun, Hendery, and Lucas all speak varying degrees of it. Sure, Ten and YangYang are probably the most fluent, on par w/ Johnny, Mark, and Jaehyun, but all of them understand A LOT. Renjun too.

Hii, today I'm passing by this nct reaction for a change haha I just gotta say that even though I'm not an nctzen, I like to check out their music from time to time and this album was definitely a very pleasant surprise. Funny that I liked and "disliked" the same songs as you (bd party and vroom have yet to grown on me) but I still have like half of the album on my On Repeat spotify playlist. I think you will also like their Resonance album! It has really good songs, including my all time nct fav "From Home", loved your honest thoughts as always^^
