Reacting to NHL Jersey Concepts! Some of the BEST I Have Ever Seen! 

Thanks for the comments everyone I had alot of fun with these. Most of these logos and shoulder patches were designed by myself some of them were altered assets from other stock artwork i've seen. This was an alternates project thats why some of these are a little out there. Neil this was dope i'm glad you like them thanks again.

The Minnesota Wild logo actually has the "W" for Wild in the negative Space of the "M". Brilliant logo!

Notice how the background of every concept is a photo of the city/environment of the team. I dig it.

As a Hawks fan, I NEED to see more of that feather striping!

This has to be one of the best collections of jersey designs that I can remember on the channel. So good!

That Pittsburgh concept is badass, black and yellow is so boring, and penguins usually live in cold climates so the blue fits perfectly

The Wild jersey needs to happen! This is the best Wild jersey I have ever seen. I am forwarding this guy's name and concept over to the communications and branding dept!

The logo for Anaheim's concept jersey reminds me of the former ECHL team, the Quad City Mallards.

These are some great concepts! Really love the innovation on some of these My favorites are 1. Penguins- really nice robo penguin update! Love the baby blue and black together. Would absolutely buy this jersey 2. Panthers- they need this logo! It's so much better than the current logo, also love the Miami vice colors 3. Minnesota- the new logo is really great! Almost mimics the whalers logo with the W in the negative space of the M, also some nice updates like the shoulder patches!

This is the best concept jersey video I have seen on the channel! Great job and very creative with all the jerseys! It was so cool seeing the rebrands of the logos.

As a Canucks fan, I have to point out that the "Canuck" is spelled wrong in the concept ("Canuks") - but nonetheless....it must be made and I must add it to the collection!

as a panthers fan that hates the pink and sky blue for florida, this concept looked rad. all these designs are inspirational and out-of-the-box. love it!

Detroit's "Motor City "is a 10 outta 10. New but classic at the same time.

Sorry if this is already said in the comments, the patch on the shoulder of the blackhawks jersey is similar to the Chicago cubs baseball city jersey, the “Y” represents the 3 rivers and a bunch of other stuff. Has a lot of Chicago meaning

Wow, the Arizona, Dallas, Minnesota, and Pittsburg concepts need to happen!! As a Flyers fan, I’m usually opposed to getting rid of the classic logo. It’s so synonymous with the brand that it’s hard to imagine anything else working. For whatever reason, I do really like this concept tho! Would def accept this as a third

Hey Neil and Brain Candy! Since you asked: 1) I'd say my favourite was the Canucks jersey, even in spite of the incorrect spelling - but honourable mentions include the Arizona kachina/howling dog hybrid, the Florida Panthers neon look, the Minnesota Wild jersey, the Devils jersey THAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN NOW, and the ultra-cool Flyers and Penguins jerseys. 2) If speciality jerseys were as common in the NHL as they are in the lower leagues, the Leafs jersey would be a prime candidate - in appreciation of not only the Argos and the Original Six, but also a nod to the Toronto 6 womens hockey team.

Brain Candy, you definitely raise the bar for designers out there, it’s an amazing work! My favourites concept overall are VAN, FLA, CLB (10/10) and MIN, NYI, PHI (9/10). Honourable mentions for the logos: CGY, WAS, PHI. The Kings and the Habs: Very original, botanical and Second Empire and Rococo style! Loved it. Your attention to details is awesome: For example, the medal as Jets’ captain patch is a nice touch. On many concepts, you’ve included subtle background details (palm trees, monuments, soldiers, etc…). Doing individual city-themed backgrounds for the video was a great decision. Again, amazing work from you Brain Candy, I’m highly impressed and inspired. Waive the 3-year period, Straight to the HOF! 🎖

Replace the modern logo for a retro winged wheel on the Jersey for Detroit, and you got yourself a beautiful sweater, bud. I agree with you. I’m a fan of the letterman jacket collar. The cream white and vintage font look great.

That was from far the best concept I've seen on your channel, I was amazed at every single jersey (except maybe one or two that was good but not amazing) and it was really exciting to listen to 🤟🤟

As a Maple Leafs fan i agree with what you said. a heritage game or winter classic one time jersey its cool, but never as a replacement to what the Leafs currently have.

I appreciate that the Kraken jersey is a shoutout to the Metropolitans (especially the back of the neck), but I don't think it translates well to this style. I'm also biased towards the blue from their real jersey because green is overused in Seattle sports imo.

Wings fan here, love the Detroit concept! If you just slap on either the winged wheel or the classic D as the logo, it'd be perfect

Love the idea of the Flames jersey.. would like to see a different stylization happen. But adding some Alberta heritage and added character to the Flames identity is very nice. Avs, Wild, and Rangers designs are so clean. Original Blackhawks and Oilers logos are untouchable. Always love the Islander fisherman making an appearance.

Dallas concept is nice but would like to see in Stars current colors. I think the inclusion of the Pegasus is a concept I would like to see done in a different way

the bridge on NYI jersey is called the Robert Moses bridge which connects long island with beaches

The guy who made the Dallas concept really did his research. The red pegasus is the unofficial symbol of the city of Dallas, and it comes from the prominent display of the Mobil Gas company logo in the ewely 20th century. It's a brilliant working of that symbol into the logo. I still can't part with my Victory Green, though!

I think the Winnipeg Jets jersey is perfect!!! If it is released, I'd buy it in an instant! That Jets one is awesome! The Calgary one makes sense due to the Stampede! All were fantastic! The designer did a wonderful job!

Love the W in the negative space on the Wild jersey as many others have said. Very Hartfordesque and beautifully done. The other thing I immediately thought of which nobody is talking about is the coloring of Anaheim's giving me flashbacks to the original Mighty Ducks movie. Granted those were green, yellow and purple but the creator does a great job of mixing the green from the movie with the current orange being used now. These are all pretty great and I would have to say my favorite was ultimately Columbus. The military vibes from those stripes on the arms really sell it for me. Easy to understand concept and translates perfectly into a product that could be mass produced.

This was an incredible set. Great work to whomever designed this! Great! My favorite jersey was actually my favorite team's arch nemesis. I would actually change up a little bit of the Washington Capitals redesign logo and work in D.C. in that logo somewhere. Probably make it small in where the three tiny stars were.

"Some of the BEST I have ever seen". I'm always hesitent when RU-vidrs or other social media influencers write such "clickbait" (no offence, Neil) titles, but after seeing this video, it pretty much sums things up! Overall, I agree with Neil's excitement. This creator has gone WAY off the safe path, and for many teams, it's really working out! I love this video. I rarely hit the thumbs-up button since it automatically saves into a playlist, but this video is worth it. (I would like to be able to like a video without that happening) Not usually someone to comment on all jerseys, but it's well deserved. In general, some numbers might be a bit too "blocky" to be good visiually from a far, but other than that, top grade for the creator! ANA: Love the dark green and an actual duck logo. Since the logo/wings goes towards the right shoulder, I don't feel the "C" needs to be on that side. ARI: Not usually a fan of gradients, but WOW! Love that nighttime one. BOS: No major risks taken, but the bear tangled in the "B" is a good logo. BUF: Yes! I really like black jerseys, so the goat head always hits the spot. Would maybe make the red stripes thinner on the arms. CAR: While I like black, that's too much. CBJ: Whoa! So much going on, but I like that the creator doesn't mind being bold. CGY: Not so sure about the logo itself, but I like the general layout of it; striping etc. CHI: I like symmetrical/round shouldpatches and the feathering stripes are brilliant. COL: Beautiful! That dark blue color...mmm... DAL: Star jersey - oh, yes! Some jerseys in this video could works as third/alternate, but this would be a specialty or full re-brand. DET: Nice. It has an old school vibe, which may make conservative Red Wings fans happy. Nah, who am I kidding? EDM: Being nit-picky, I'd like the arm stripes to be thinner. Otherwise, no complaints. FLA: While I would've hope for a non-Miami Vice version (since it's been done to death), this is still great. New logo and the palm trees makes this exciting. LAK: Whoa! Intricate details, which is the case for old royal design. Might be a bit too much, but still not the safe path, for sure. MIN: It's tough to out-do the regular logo, but for a letter one (with the negative space!), it's OK. Lacks a bit of green at the top. Neck? Or to break off the shoulders and numbers area? MTL: Good choice with pattern in the white/grey section. Maybe a thin grey stripe at the bottom of the jersey too? NJD: For me, in all the two-toned concepts of the Devils jersey, I find myself missing something more. NSH: The dark blue is nice, though not sure about the logo. Could work equally good as being a shoulder patch? NYI: Good patch, love the rope to seperate the colors. I'd love a lighthouse logo in general, instead for the fisherman, but it's still good. NYR: Rangers needs to use the liberty logo more. Not as sold as Neil on the patch, but overall, a nice jersey. (Though nice doesn't necessarily make it into a upper half among all these!) OTT: Interesting shoulders! Would personally like black arms, with the number being another color. PHI: Another bold logo, so hats off! Like the bell patches and love the orange laces on the black part. Pop! PIT: Man, despite being a Caps fan, I like the color combo of black and yellow. Strange enough, my Swedish team's biggest rival also wears black and yellow. Anyway, I'm not as sold on the blue Penguins concepts. The thin seperation between shoulder and arm could've been used in other team's jerseys (ex. MIN). SEA: Not too sure. SJS: Miss some orange to make things pop. While there are a lot of stylistic fonts/numbers in this video, some them would probably be hard to read from distance. This one for sure. STL: Not a favorite, especially it having a textual style logo. However, for a jersey being in the bottom third, it's still OK, and different. TBL: Yes! They need something different, to have their own style. This would do wonders. Great color combo. Would work with or without gradient. TOR: As I prefer symmetrical things, I'd straighten up the leaf, remove the 6 and make that skyblue color stripe (on the arm) a bit thinner. VAN: Not a fan of the "big V" jersey of old, and while it doesn't continue to the stomach area, I'm not sure... VGS: Excellent logo! The gold stripes could be thinner and I don't see the need for the gold stripe behind the patch, to be honest. WPG: Nice touch with the salute at the bottom. A solid concept. WSH: Well, I like the "Rock the red" things the Caps have going on. Wonder what it would look like if the red parts were blue and blue parts were red? Top three: 1. PHI 2. COL 3. TBL

The NJ Devils shoulder patch with the outline of NJ was great!

I'd love the red wings logo, but I think the "Motor City" lettering was unneeded. Just the wheel with the wing looked great

That bridge is just north of Robert Moses park I think. Definitely a rare choice of landmark to rep LI

Leafs fan here I like the 6 on the leaf but there is a bit to much and obviously you can change the leafs jersey that much. I’m still yet to see a leafs concept that I like. But the designer of the jerseys makes the best concepts I’ve seen for a long time

As a Wings fan I liked the redesign, I appreciate the effort and being so bold. I often times try to think of what a completely different Red Wings jersey would look like and in my head it is exactly this, but I dont like it more than the current jersey sort of thing, though this redesign is definitely something that i would buy if it were a Winter Classic or an alternate jersey, I really like the off white on the red jersey! But that Flyers jersey, god damn, I absolutely loved that redesign, its absolutely perfect hands down my favourite, it suits the feel of Philly, the logo gives people a better feel for the name, their current logo is very MLB, I don't even like Philly and I would buy that jersey instantly. Winnipeg is also a perfect jersey, also a team I dont care for lol. Also, is the Canucks jersey spelled that way for a reason or was that a mistake?

I find that few people can really impress me with St. Louis concepts. I think that's mainly because these artists know very little about the city, so they lean too much on the music note motif in a way that they don't for other teams. Similar vibes from Detroit concepts as well...

The Stars jersey, the red horse in the logo is the Red pegasus that’s been in Dallas since the beginning. It’s been atop a building in Dallas.

Great Concepts! My favorite was probably the Coyotes, mostly because of the logo (I'm generally more interested in logos than jerseys). I'm a wings fan and don't particularly like that one, but am not at all offended by the idea of it 😄Just because certain teams have logos that shouldn't necessarily actually be drastically changed, does not, in my opinion, mean that drastic concepts shouldn't be made. Like I would be sad if the Wings actually changed their logo much, but it's still fun to look at other ideas. (That was a bit of a rabbit trail, but I've had it in mind from other concept videos as well 😄). Also, I don't know if I've ever thought of the inside part of the Wings wheel in the real logo as spokes on an old fashioned tire, and not just the inside of a more modern tire, but this logo made me notice. 😆

Wow!!!!!! These are amazing. That Florida Panther one NEEEEEDS to happen if even for just a long sleeve T-Shirt. That is phenomenal!! Love the Penguins one! Love the MW in the Minnesota Wild one. Love the Jets one, Love the Blue Jackets one, Love the Detroit one. As a Predators fan I Love the Skyline on that one! Absolutely LOVE that it's not Mustard! I'm so over the Mustard, Love all the music references in the logo and design. Outlines are a little thick on the numbers but all in all I love it. BRAIN CANDY!!! WOW!!! WAY TO STEP UP THE SWEATER GAME!!!! AMAZING JOB!!!! There is sooooooooo much amazingness in this set its hard to comment on everything that stands out.

I'm a KINGS fan and would remove the designs on the arms, but I would keep the main logo. The Ottawa jersey was my favorite, but I would leave the shoulders alone but keep the arms solid black and buy it asap.

So many solid designs. Very hard to choose a fav. Definately lined that Jets homage to the forces. Colorado is my fav team and I did like that one. I miss the Yeti foot logo .. Nostalgic

Blues fan here. The trap that multiple concept designers fall into with making a Blues jersey is they are constantly trying to invent a new logo. Let's be real, The Note is the brand. The Arch jerseys were great, but The Note is the main attraction. The key to a cool Blues jersey is to find ways to accentuate The Note. Recolorize it, mess with the dimensions, get creative with The Note itself. Love the videos man!

The list of jerseys I didn't like is a lot shorter than the ones I did so I'll just list them now: CGY - didn't like the logo as much CBJ - logo and striping DAL - Bring back the old Star OTT - Color and striping PIT - I would change the black to like a navy like their classic jerseys in 2011 TB - I think it needs different logos WSH - I just couldn't see Ovi wearing blue 😁 To braincandy, great work on all of these and thank you Post2Post for making this video

Canes fan here: love the "Take Warning" in the back of the collar. Also, that Blues concept gives me some serious NFL Rams vibes. Not sure how the city of St. Louis would react to that...

Objectively, the COL LAK ARI MIN VAN SEA and PIT jerseys would be pretty cool to have as a one-off specialty jersey. The rest don't really hit.

I love the Stars jersey. Everyone who hasn’t seen it, needs to watch the Icethetics video about the Stars rebrand when they went to the Victory Green scheme. Daryl “Razor” Reaugh really lobbied for the red, white, and blue color scheme. And for anyone wondering about the horse, it’s a nod to the iconic Pegasus sign in downtown Dallas.

The bridge on the Isles jersey is either the Fire Island Inlet Bridge or Great South Bay bridge which connects Long Island to Fire Island and other Long Island beaches

All of these are AT LEAST a 7/10, however that Florida one is TOP TIER.
