I was adopted at birth. My bio mom was 15, it was a closed adoption so I don't know anything about her, or my bio dad. But I'm eternally thankful to them, for giving me a great life with my mom and dad. My mom had to have a hysterectomy at 24, due to medical reasons, so she couldn't have kids. She's very thankful they made that choice too

Wow, I had no idea Laura's mom passed away. She's young not to have a mom around. Clearly, she did her job and raised Laura right. She's so mature and loving.

Dog trainer here! The problem with the pee pads is it teaches your dog it’s okay to go to the bathroom inside and often times don’t stick to just the pad. They don’t only use the bathroom on the pads, Especially if you move it

My 12 year old son just came out to me last year and since then he has now opened up to me about EVERYTHING!!! It’s only awkward as a mom when he says things like “when we get home mom, I need 5 mins.” Lol he has a bf named Lee and they are best friends. I’m so happy that the world we now live in it’s acceptable to be who you are and love who you love. My son Michael is gay and I’m proud to be his mommy!!!!!!!!

Totally relate about the neck! I had a car accident a decade ago where I was t-boned and got some serious whiplash to my neck. I also have a long neck like Laura so I am just prone to having issues with it. My biggest problem is when my neck hurts it makes my whole body hurt...and you're right, nothing really helps but rest and time. Feel better, Manny!

My husband is a Pediatric Neurologist at a large Canadian hospital and as part of his consults with newly admitted patients, he has to ask the child's parents if they're related (it can give some clues towards conditions if it's a genetic disease) and he said the only people that don't get offended when he asks are the ones that are like, "Oh yup, we're first cousins" lol.

Yes, I am so here for leaving jobs you don't like and I think that's a younger generation mindset! I was at a job that I didn't like and my mentor from college strongly encouraged me to stick it out for atleast a year for my resume and not to be a "job hopper" but that's a year of my life that I could be doing something I love. Life is too short to be at a toxic job.

I really needed that opening talk of the podcast guys. The universe wanted me to hear that, in this moment, after todays work day. Thank you! ❤️

I was a preschool teacher For 10 years and once I started approaching my forties I realized I needed to do something else. I loved it still but wanted to leave while I had options. Unfortunately preschools in AZ don't pay well i didn't have benefits, I had to go. Now I'm making more money and thriving in my job but still miss the kiddos

I’ve never seen white lotus but when I was in my 20s one of my best friends had a boyfriend and they’d been living together for 5 or 6 years and one day he just left. It turned out that he left her for a married woman. The married woman’s husband rang my friend to talk to her about it and they ended up hooking up. That was 20 years ago and they’re still together and have a son. The other couple are also still together and have a couple of kids!!! But recently out of nowhere my friend ran into the ex and they’ve been meeting up a couple of times a week for coffee and to go trekking. They haven’t hooked up though. You better believe I’m here getting every update there is. The last time they went trekking, her parents and partner called Emergency Services because she was out of range so long, they thought she must have had an accident or something. She got back before anyone found her but when she told me this, we were laughing hysterically 😂😆PS I was adopted when I was 9 days old and I’ve had the best life ever! I’ve never met my birth parents and don’t know anything about them. My parents adopted 3 kids and then my mum fell pregnant. So 3 of us are adopted. Let me tell you our family drama is as good as any ‘real’ family 😂because we are a real family.
