That scene where Percy broke Clarisse's spear, Walker said that he was actually terrified of Dior while shooting that scene, he thought she was actually going to kill him and he was so glad the horn blew. Goes to show how good Dior was in character during that time.

Maiming is generally considered a serious enough injury to be permanent. Cutting off a body part, or disabling of it, would fall under that.

im super glad you guys are still doing it i love watching the 2 guys react for along time but it did get alot better when the two of you were brought on because more personalities different point of views, I will love if you guys can react to these movies if you guys havent seen them and they are The Old Guard, The Tomorrow War, Infinite, Independance Day Resurrgence, Pacific Rim Uprising, American Assassin and Rebel Moom Part 1 it is amazing the boys seen it and loved it and Part 2 comes out on April 19th of this year please let me know what you think

The online discourse over Annabeth being played by Leah Jeffries is ridiculous. Personally, I think The author made a great decision casting her. Not only does she play the role perfectly, but it still does kind of play into breaking stereotypes about intelligence, and I'm glad for the African American kids who watch this and have a chance to see themselves in this smart, highly skilled, daughter of the goddess of wisdom.

and i believe he even said thats part of why he casted her. these days no one bats an eye at blonde girls being intelligent, but black girls are definitely heavily stereotyped in that manner

It wasn't even discourse, it was racial abuse. Her family and extended family got literal death threats from psychos who didn't like her casting.

I agree with Leah having been the perfect casting for Annabeth, and that the insanity the fanbase has put her through is horrific. That said, I do think it was just entirely irresponsible for Rick to have continuously promised a complete one-to-one, and absolutely faithful adaptation leading up to her and Aryan's (and to a lesser extent Walker's) casting announcement. Not to say that the vitriol wouldn't have been there without the promises made, but hyping that aspect up was only ever gonna lead to backlash.

yes in the book annabeth had a crush on luke, but they seem to got rid of that part in the show, which imo was a better choice becasue it quickly became weird in later part of the series because of their age gap (he was a whole 20 something years old asking her how she felt about him when she was a teen) and it also pulls focus from their main conflict which is their sibling/found family bond being broken, not her crush.

This show was the very definition how how to update changes without destroying what needed to be there. Harry Potter couldn't even do that quite correctly without just glossing over stories and letting characters fall by the wayside. This show did what the movie thought it was doing and succeeded where the movie failed because it didn't lose the heart of the book, but got rid of the things that made the book kid friendly (and wouldn't work in a show) and turned it family friendly.

You should react to Shogun (2024). That's by far the most exciting show of the year. Surfing the Shogun hype would give your new channel some traction.

Inside Man (2006) directed by Spike Lee and starring Denzel Washington, Jodie Foster, Clive Owen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Willem Dafoe is a forgotten heist masterpiece. Big recommend.

I'm glad you're enjoying the show! I loved it a lot although I do have some critiques of it. Nonetheless I'm so excited for S2. And about what you asked, I always felt like an Apollo kid. It would be neat to have Will as a brother.

Hayley and Stella are so cool. Either of them doing these reactions on their own is great too to be honest. This has to be another quite interesting episode of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I liked the archery part. The emotional scenes in these shows and movies I always manage to handle them pretty well. I still feel bad for the characters in those scenes. I like the visual effects in this too.
