First time I saw Powerwolf, back in 2010, they all came out without makeup to the merch stall after the show, and I told Attila "You don't look so evil without all the makeup!", and he just was like "Yeah, sucks, doesn't it?". Good times.
Funfact: Saltatio Mortis did this kind of letting other Bands Cover their songs aswell. I believe for their 20th anniversary or something like that. I dont know about Bands of other countries, but it seems like german bands like to do that. AND ITS AWESOME!
I think Powerwolf does it (at least in part) because they're pretty much Napalm's most successful band, so it helps get all the people who love Powerwolf to hear other Napalm bands. Maybe Saltatio Mortis is doing it for the same reason?

As a music lover myself and i suggest the guys from Powerwolf are aswell haha, its just super fun to hear the interpretation of (your own) music in different styles. And i believe Saltatio Mortis was or even is also already under Napalm. Maybe its a Napalm thing but i rather dont think so.
This isn't the first time Powerwolf had songs covered by other bands on a separate disc. Amaranthe did a badass rendition of Army of the Night back in '18 on the Sacrament of Sin deluxe pack
Never have listened to Powerwolf, but they will be in a festival that I'll be in June, so thought that was nice to listened something to see if worth seeing the show, and good surprise! Def seeing, liked the vibe.
I can understand the potential for awkward, but you have plenty of proof that you were a fan of Powerwolf well before you were an employee! It's not like anyone could complain you changed your tune about them. 😜 ❤🐺🤘
Just had to share... I added this to my playlist on Spotify, and when viewing the lyrics, the second verse contains the absolute worst misheard lyrics I've ever experienced: "Send the griddle in your final hour". 🤣🤣🤣 Because if there's one thing Powerwolf's music is about, it's pancakes.
They did this a few years ago for one of their albums. Disc 1 was the new album. Another disc was the orchestrals and the last one was Powerwolf covers by other bands including Epica. It was fantastic Dude I just checked the cover artist list. It’s bad ass
It is definitely little off of their usual stuff, not that it's a bad thing, I really like the song. Man I loved the little details about their guitars, super interesting! Haha I remember when I saw my very first live Powerwolf video and I was confused with the guitar players they looked so similar so I don't blame you :D

The Powerwolf show in Denver was amazing!!! They didn't play No Prayer At Midnight , like you said, probably was too new, but it would have been great if they had.
I saw you at the NYC show and I had a bit of a meltdown. I was not expecting to see you there, so it was a bit of a surprise Easter egg during the show 😅 The song to me made even more sense when I read the lyrics and looked up the religious meaning of praying at midnight. The song to me is just a big FU we are going to party, enjoy and simply be happy.

Attila has a great strong and tuneful voice even live. ive been listening to their “ live at Wacken 2019” album a lot when I’m out in my workshop. My neighbors must be sick of me belting out “armatta stiggoi ” and “where the wild wolves have gone” at the top of my lungs lol. Now you have spent a lot of time with the band on tour, Do you have a favourite live song? I have to agree with you regarding European bands, look at rammstein, within temptation, nightwish, dimmu borgir, etc, they all put a tremendous amount of thought and effort into their live performances.
Powerwolf is one of the few powermetal bands I like a lot (just not my thing most of the time). I find their music quite entertaining and catchy. The Eletric Callboy cover is gonna be fucking wild. Can't wait for it.
Speaking of Framus, did you catch Devin Townsend's video (with his tech) on Framus YT channel about his gear for the current tour? Started out showing off his guitars, Framuses and beyond, then as he got to his cabinet, it (d)evolved into a masterclass on all the electronics he uses during composition and then how he basically brings his home setup to the tour. Fascinating stuff, and even oddly comforting with his speaking cadence and tone )))
I think that hearing your input on the song will help me get into is faster; it is definitely different from all the others that I'm familiar with. I just saw them last night in San Francisco, my first time seeing them. A fantastic show. I have one question: does it get distracting, or feel "weird" having so many in the crowd calling out your name while setting up? Oh, and thanks for the pick after the show!
A disc of all covers by other bands. That’s cool! I seem to have a slight preference for covers of Powerwolf songs over the originals, and I recognized many of those bands.

This is one of those bands i know i should probably listen to more, but somehow never do til randomly appears on a youtube playlist, or my spotify gets a mind of its own after i listen to a power metal album, or even after listening to in flames latest album.

I hope their tour, and yours haha, goes well! I saw them in NYC and it was great, I just wish they could use pyro on this tour. Question; not changing strings through out the night obviously is saving them money, and possibly is less for you to do, depending what other things you do. How often do you change strings for them? Every show, every two shows?
I mean... The covers thing isn't super out-there for PW. Their last album was PACKED with collabs, from Alissa White-Gluz to Chris Bowes to Chris Harms.
I like there dystopian look in this video. I saw them at download last year, they don't disappoint Matthew Greywolf wore a cowl or something with goggles because it was so hot and windy. I did get sun burnt watching them but worth it I guess. I do like a band more when they have theatrics or consistency to there stage look that occasionally changes. I'm from the UK so I can say that bands with costumes are perhaps a little more common than the US but not really same likely goes for the rest of Europe. I wouldn't list off black metal bands in that conversation as it seems well over half of them get there corpse paint on or costumes etc.
Early on someone said "Has powerwolf ever made a bad song?" And the answer to that question is of course..... Nein, Niet, No, Nu, Nope, Neva Gunna Happen, and of course my personal favorite, Fuck no.
It's really good. As compared to it being very bad!! Good Job Powerwolf, when you here the band name you think of a neighborhood garage band, that's what makes it so hip.
