It's semi scripted, it's mostly improvised but some big parts that has to happen and canon deaths are usually scripted and most of the times people only know what they have to do and not the others. That's what makes their reactions so genuine

if you wanna know how the script looks like - when schlatt was supposed to die at the end of the pogtopia vs manburg war (the revolution) the script just said "schlatt has a heart attack and fucking dies" so i think some of the quotes are even more impressive when you think about what the script possibly looks like

Actually, the eulogy is based off of a fanfic called "Passerine" which is basically an AU with the sleepy bois inc. (Philza Minecraft, Technoblade, Wilbur Soot and Tommyinnit). It has gotten very popular because of how well written it is and how well thought out the plot was, plus, it's incredibly sad, haha! If you want and can, to better understand the animation, you could read the fanfiction itself, it's very good and, as previously mentioned, could definitely help you better grasp just how intense and sad it actually is. Bruh, Passerine made so many people cry. It was a banger fanfic, then Sad-ist made a video for it and destroyed our hearts even more.

Sunsprite's Eulogy is about a dream smp fanfiction, widely renouned to be one of the best dream smp fanfictions of all time, Passerine. After reading it and then rewatching the animatic, it's incredibly powerful.

When you say “this feels more intricate then most tv shows” its actually because Wilbur writes the script and is incredibly good at it. Wilbur is an amazing writer and you can tell that from the SMP, his ARG, and even his songs. Also it’s difficult for most people to keep up with the SMP, like I’m sure there’s a million small arcs and character facts that I still have no idea about.

The Dream SMP follows scripted improvisation, meaning very big plot elements, such as Wilbur or Schlatt's deaths, were planned, but anything smaller than that were not. Quotes and the majority of interactions are completely improvised, meaning many reactions are genuine. And scripting has only been a recent addition; in the beginning, before it was even a roleplay server, nothing was planned. For example, Eret's betrayal was completely unexpected and the members' reactions were very genuine. That's part of what makes the Dream SMP so compelling, in my opinion.

"I wanna see how twitch chat react to that" Well for that one scene, everyone was calling dream a homeless teletubby, or sobbing cause he started playing Mellohi

So sunsprites eulogy is an animatic based on a fanfic called passerine, it is an extremely sad fanfic and it revolves around the people of "sleepy boys inc" which are: Technoblade, TommyInnit, Wilbur Soot and Philza. There are other people in the story as well such as Phil's wife Kristin, Tubbo, Nikki and Sapnap

The dsmp has some of the richest fanartist community tbh Bc the way the dsmp works, a lot of things are left for interpretation so theres a whole bunch of creative freedom for artists + the members of the server go out of their way to hype up/ appreciate artists :)

In the "Evelyn" Animatic, you can see Tubbo gripping the sides of his head, where Horns would be, and Tommy covering his face like a mask. Neat little detail. History repeats itself.

I love that you’re branching off into Animatics! I’d recommend Late August and Roseartemis if you’re looking for other animatics to react to. Both are incredible and have great musical accompaniments too.

Eyy im pretty sure I've recommended them before bUt ILl dO IT AGaIn-- Late August has some really beautiful animations on their channel which i strongly recommend giving a look at! They are defiantly a different vibe to sadist (with it being sort of darker and more emotional based while sadist is quite trailer esque and actiony) If you do give em a watch i do also recommend watching them in order heh :p

about the first one: i actually recommend you watch manhunts,not even for reaction purposes they're just really fun to watch. and that first animation was actually made using her finger because at the time she didnt have a drawing tablet. about the second one: its based off of a fanfiction actually! so the plot and everything entirely fanmade. its a very popular fanfic in the community and has a reputation of making people cry and having amazing writing. :D

TOMMY AND TUBBO (THOSE IN THE EVELYN, EVELYN ANIMATIC) HAVE BEEN THROUGH SM. It's important to remember they're only 17-18 at that point, and WERE basically soulmates

I know people in the comments have already said but Sunsprites Eulogy is about a Sbi royalty au fanfiction (Philza Minecraft, Technoblade, Wilbur Soot, and Tommyinnit) it’s very popular and if you read the fanfiction (which is linked in the description of the animatic), you’ll understand a lot more of the animatic and it’ll definitely hit harder because of how sad it is lol.

The piece of music from the Sunsprite's Eulogy is actually called Cafe 1930 if you wanted to listen to the full thing!

You should definitely read Passerine, the fanfiction Sunsprites Eulogy is based on! You dont really have to know much about the dream smp lore to read it, plus it is genuinely so good!

I absolutely adore your reactions, especially on dream smp related stuff. Can recommend you to watch Late August Dream smp animatics, they are more lore-telling, and my personal favorite one is Avarice, it’s also more recent one)

You should definitely check out Late August's dream smp animatics too! I think Sad-ist's animatics were what got a lot of people, myself included, into the dream smp plot initially, so they definitely hold a very special place in our hearts, but Late August is another really big animator in the community who's done some really really cool work :)

When I first watched the manhunt animation I was blow away by the fluidity, consisitency, character, life and the way she interpreted minecraft mechanics. I NEVER EVER could have imagined what she would become. I'm so proud of her and I'm glas she is getting the recognition she deserves

it's fun to see people who don't watch the dsmp react to animatics or whatnot from it, sometimes the guesses on what's going on is spot on, and sometimes they're just fun to listen to hahah, your commentary is always good though

My favorite weird bit that I’ve seen on the SMP is when Wilbur says “yeah daddy Dream!!” It was the funniest thing ever!

God guys we have made him fully into a dsmp fan but he only have to listen to the fan made music and the lmanberg anthem now then he is fully a dsmp fan (not saying if you don't know the songs or anything that you are a fake fan)

You should totally react to EvanMCGaming video's of the DreamSMP so you can start really getting into the storyline! I think it would be really cool to see how you react to the actual storyline of the SMP!

YOOOO I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!! Btw, you should react to Starkid musicals! They have parody ones and original ones! Some of them are based on stuff like Batman, Harry Potter and Star wars! The musicals are long but you should listen to the songs!

Sadist truly inspires me with her videos. She’s so amazing at the attention to detail in her animations. Also if you want to see one of her videos that has so much detail and is voiced go check out her Hog Hunt video, it blew my mind the amount of detail in it.

The best part of all this is the fact that the Dawn of 16th is based on the Pogtopia revolution, and September 22 is the one-year anniversary of Pogtopia's creation...

If you're interested in animatics/animations you should totally check out Late August. They have a much different vibe than Sad-ist

Hey Mathew! I only discovered your channel a few days ago, ive seen your videos pop up on my recommended a few times. However I had my doubts because reaction channels can sometimes be really bad in the sense that they dont really bring anything new or add to the video. So when i watched one of your videos for the first time i was pleasantly surprised about how much and how in depth you talk about the videos you cover and such. After that first video I went on a binge of your videos and I absolutely loved every single video ive watched so far! Ive been so bored recently with nothing to do, so just having your videos to watch has been so helpful to me so that I dont feel like im just stuck in a bland state of being. Ive even rewatched a few videos just because watching and listening to your take on each topic is always so entertaining and intriguing! Thank you for doing what you do!! You make my days that much better. Also im not sure if youre going to do another part to listening to steven universe songs since you’re currently in the process watching the show, but if you do, I think you should listen to Both of You! It’s definitely in my top favorite songs in the show. My god Sadist is just too talented! And yes there are scripted parts but especially in the beginning they did improv a lot of it. It depends on the person and how confident they are, some of the members script more than others, some will just loosley know what they want to achieve others might have some more specific sentences planned they want to say. I love it either way and Sadists animations make it look even more epic.

SAD-ist posted a new animatic called Final Waltz that was really good if you ever want to watch that one (as a video or on your own time is okay with me)

Okay, you have to check out some of the things that Hyun's Dojo did. I recommend starting with deadly runners, Defend the Diamond, and the Imitator 1 and 2. The music they use is amazing and the sync the animation like putting bread on butter.

The main characters are Techno, Tommy, Wilbur and, Phil. This is a magnificent story though you will cry. If you like what you are hearing, you can find it on ao3 or buy a physical copy!

a lot of it is improvised but they also have a script for big events or if something is supposed to happen in the storyline it's because the reactions of the events are 100% genuine

the eulogy one is actually based off of a fanfic called passerine and it is really good. the basic storyline is: tommy and wilbur are two princes who's father (philza) calls an old friend (technoblade) to help wilbur learn how to fight and cope with the voices he hears in his head. tommy and wilbur's mom is very sick. one night, technoblade bangs on wilbur's bedroom door, waking him up, and leads him to the mother and father's room where they find the mother dead and little tommy crying at her feet and a note from the father saying he had to leave. 16 year old wilbur becomes the king and eventually, a war begins. tommy is determined to fight in it with wilbur and ends up dying in the war. the father comes back and he, techno, and wilbur go on a quest to find the green god who can supposedly revive people, in hopes that he will revive tommy and the mother. the green god isn't everything they thought he was though i recommend reading it, it's really good but it's really long lol

Dawn of the 16th is my favorite of sad-ists animatics and its so good. With the bloopers vid, I was literally in the live when they happened-Dream blowing himself up and when his discord broke during ranboo's lore was so funny because we were all like freaking out and crying and then all of a sudden it was just a complete 180 and it was fantastic. Would love to see you react to their new one, final waltz, when you get the chance, because it is her best one yet!!

The first time I watched the eulogy I was like wow that's great animation I'll go read the fanfiction and then after an unreasonable amount of sobbing while reading it I cry every time I see the animation again.

maybe you could react to some manhunts while you're at it. i wasn't gonna recommend them, because i thought your channel was exclusively music, but now that i think about it, i would love to see your opinions on the way manhunts are edited to resemble movies.

While we're looking at animatics: I highly suggest watching Late August's DSMP animatics! They're beautifully illustrated.

So I will explain sunsprites eulogy. So this is based of a fanfic called passerine including the sbi(Phil, techno, Wilbur and Tommy as well as mumza/Kristen) in the fanfic techno and philza are gods that are basically immortal and used to cause chaos across the realm together, until Phil left techno ofc. Then techno found a kingdom, found out Phil was ruling said kingdom, Phil begged techno to stay and train his sons(Wilbur and Tommy) in combat, techno did that, then mumza died and Phil ran away, Wilbur was crowned King as a young teen, oh right! Wilbur also hears voices like techno and plays guitar to sooth them(techno plays violin in the fanfic). Then there was a war, then Tommy and Tubbo ALMOST met, then niki executes the plan Wilbur set in place killing her in the process, then the war is almost over, there's the war god. Phil comes back and kills the war got aka sapnap and then in the war gods final breath he throws his sword directly into Tommy's heart and we get alot of description on everyone's thoughts and actions as Tommy is dying in wilburs arms TuT, techno has a moment, Wilbur yells at techno, techno breaks down and that's all I know! There's probably more chapters I haven't read or something so yeah, I gave the main plot and there's alot that I missed out of it so yeah! It's a good read or listen, there's audio books on RU-vid for it! But yeah, I can also explain manhunt and any dreamsmp lore possible. I have watched most major lore vods since techno came into the plot(techno got me into mcyts and then dsmp so yeah) and I always keep up with it, I know all the lore that happened before techno as I went back and watched old Tubbo and Wilbur streams as well as things like dreamsmp the musical and as many animatics and animations as I can! I have revised more dreamsmp lore than I have for French so yeah
