I like all the songs. Especially fabulous, because it's as if the song is about him. One of the composers on the song "melt away" is Zara Larsson, and the lyrics to the song "all for nothing" were written by Taeyeon

Yeah she said coming from INVU and working on this immediately after the Odd Of Love concert she wanted something that's not too grand and easy to listen to. I've seen fans say she should've came harder after INVU or come with something as good as INVU but they must be new here lol because this is very on brand for a Taeyeon mini. She did the same thing between Purpose and INVU with WDICY and in-between My Voice and Purpose. Great reaction as always.

What you brought up about following INVU is so important. I do feel this was the right move to make and personally like this EP a lot more. I didn't know she had this in her and am very happy it's actually cohesive + Fabulous lol. Can't help but to compare this EP to her twin's Good & Great. I thought that one was just okay but got really into CoolAs as the English track but for Taeyeon it's the opposite lol. Also always appreciate when you let yourself get a little more music major/vocal coach. I know it's always walking a tightrope to actually analyze something when it's so steeped in fandom without them descending on you. Thanks for this.

"All For Nothing" is even sadder knowing Taeyeon stopped writing after the criticism she got for "I". 7 and 8 years passed until she finally allowed herself to write again. I can't help but feel a lump in my throat when I compare the lyrics to 'I' with the lyrics to 'All For Nothing'. Taeyeon is such an incredibly strong and admirable woman. She deserves to be applauded for her honesty rather than giving in to the habit of acting like everything is fine. That said, I hope her days have gotten alot brighter since she wrote this song.

Honestly I was worried as well because not only INVU as a title track but the whole album was too good that I was thinking to myself, is she will be able to top this one but Taeyeon is indeed THEE king, never disappointed. I still like INVU album better but this ep is really really good

Taeyeon only wrote one lyrics in this album. She did mention the whole album is like a storytelling they related to each other but she did direct how the lyrics of each song will be written. Unpopular opinion it might seem controversy. Feel free to skip this since this is just my own personal opinion as an old sone. So i appologize first if anyone feel offended esp OT9 shipper. I think the whole album is taeyeon cleaver hidden reply to that x member (jessica) after release of the shining book consider how much snsd member (especially taeyeon) and their family suffer from the hatred and hate jessica fans throw at them. Snsd never comment anything related to jessica since the departure, good or bad and just endure all this years but after the second book release taeyeon post something in her ig without addressing to who. people suspect it is her reply to jessica which say "many people are suffering but people who need to be alert of it dont even realize it" and single words inititate (those hate twitter especially to taeyeon n sooyoung, those analytic post even some toxic fan celebrating taeyeon dad passaway that fuel from the witch hunt came from the book release is no joke). "In a falsehood that u created as you pleased, ignoring all shadows of heart - burn it down lyrics". i think this is her closing that chapter of her life and letting that relationship go, (their friendship😢 ) coz lets be real it does feel like the book burned whatever bridge left between them. Nightmare lyrics sound like she telling that x and also herself to just take the good memory and move on as all for nothing is how heartbroken she actually is about the whole things. This album might be a closure for her to her past relationship with the said person without spitting on anyone face and offending people or fans. Well it just my personal opinion. I got my reason why it make me think that way it could be coincidence i could be very far on my theory from the actual mark. Example.. when i first heard fabulous jessica face pop in my head. The song doesnt sound like typical song taeyeon will sing. On top of its her first full english song. The lyrics doesnt sound like taeyeon. Like u said it a song that sound like something sooyoung or tiffany might wrote and the mv u imagine will be like funny mv coz to me it sound like a sarcasm song. There is a video of jessica showing off her collection of jewelery and luxury items and say diamond is girl bestfriend. When taeyeon sing "diamond on my wrist come blow me a kiss" i auto remember that video and it didnt help jessica new concert tour name is diamond dream. Another example is there is one radio interview where they talking about how cold jessica is and her ice princess nickname and member defending her say she actually a very warm person and taeyeon end up tease her and say exactly "its melt .. the ice is melting away". The melt away part remind me of that moment. Anyway what i feel tho doesnt make it valid or make it an as fact as i said it just how i see it. (Some fans theory this album as her rs with sm especially after she unfollow the sm account ). This album like u said it actually have heavy lyrics but the mood is light. It wasnt really angry there is a touch of sadness and regret but it more melancholy as whole mode doesnt contain anger or overwhelming darkness. Its not agressive nor it is defensive it just taeyeon making a statement that she moving on. Its a good album.
