The Warning - Z LIVE REACTION!
I was blown away by The Warning's powerful and electrifying performance of "Z" live at Teatro Metropolitan CDMX! Their energy, musicianship, and stage presence were off the charts. Danny's guitar solo and Pal's drumming were particularly impressive.
I do a variety of content across multiple platforms, and you can find me commentating at the highest level of esports on various other channels. If you would like to see more of what I do, check out the link listed here!: linktr.ee/ZEPC...

The thing is, sometimes I see reactors being critical or maybe just unimpressed by songs from XXICB and QOTMS and i think they are always forgetting that they were an independent band of children when they WROTE and RECORDED those albums. This fact should not be forgotten. ERROR is one of the best rock albums of all time and still only 2 of the 3 were barely adults. The next album by TW will go to number 1. They are just getting started.

👍🏼 agreed with your reaction and Dany’s voice has definitely gone up another level, I noticed it like you said from about early 2022 and onward. When you hear them in HYCAD live it’s most evident ⚠️

Dany's voice is one of the best parts of the show for me but as you say, it does come down to taste. And yes, she has definitely matured/improved in that last year or two. This whole concert is great!!!

It's unbelievable how quickly she picked up the bass. From not knowing anything except she liked it, to playing "Hysteria" by Muse like an expert. Probably two years time span.

Great to have you back listening to The Warning! The volume could have been a little louder, but great reaction! I always appreciated your honest opinion on their songs. I hope you do get to see them live, they put on a fantastic show! They have a new album coming out soon, we don't know when. Presumably before the Europe tour? Should be a great year for them!

Their first headlining concert in NL has been upgraded from a 350p to the venues biggest 995p concert room. Not yet 2K or up but for a 1st one, not too shabby. I saw/experienced them last year when they were supporting Royal Blood (working up to the Muse concerts). Either way, if you can: go see them. P.s. I don't mind that you are critical. As long as it is respectful.

Hey good to have you back. I enjoy your honesty. That's really all TWA wants. I would sayost of us are down tje Warning Rabbit Hole 🕳 and we never want to find a way out. It's always good to hear someone else's perspectives. After all if every reactor was goo goo ga ga ovet everything they do it would het boring witching them. Just be you and we will come along for the ride🤘😎⚠️

I have to admit, I wasn’t 100% sold on Dany's vocals at first. With repeated exposure, that has changed in a big, BIG way. There’s a certain unpretentious rawness that fits their music perfectly. Now I love her singing. Team Pau for ballads, though.

The more you listen, and detect the small nuances on their voice, then on instruments, and their music, and performance, the more they blow up your head on how talented they are.

I enjoy your honesty and your reactions. Thanks for this. My warning journey started with their Choke video. Dany has what most female rock singers wish they could replicate. The early videos show the making of what The Warning would become. Embryonic. And do please continue with the Teatro concert! Every single song pulls you in deeper. Once you notice that their talent is far greater than what they show, that's when you are convinced their next release will be epic and astounding. One reviewer said that he wished Pau would add double kicks. Well, they are there. Placed so perfectly that you feel them more than notice them. Ale could steal the show if she lets loose and she already kills it. Dany doesn't show off but she could. XXI Cenury Blood and Martirio allow a little glimpse of what she can do when the track calls for it.

Dany’s vocals really have elevated to a whole other level the last couple of years. I think it’s interesting that since your last stint reacting to them they’ve toured with Muse, and they’ve actually been collaborating with Dan Lancaster while working on the next album.

Welcome back to The Warning. If you decide to go back to their early work may I suggest you do their live shows. For the first album The Dakota bar show has good sound and QOTMS live at Lenario is the best show. I believe if you see them live you will come away with a whole new perspective. Thanks 🤘

I'd say it's "maturity" working here. They play several older songs during this concert - including quite a few from their second album _Queen of the Murder Scene_ - and you can definitely notice that it's just "better" than the original performances. They learned a LOT working with David Bendeth and his team while they recorded _Error_ , and it shows in their performances over the last couple years. I read somewhere a commentary that perfectly encapsulates this band: "Most bands try to capture their studio sound on stage. _The Warning_ does precisely the opposite." Outside of some "organics", what you hear from them on an album is pretty much always going to be exactly what you hear on stage.

Oh Zep, it's always been a sweet and sour relationship with you. 🤣 I've re-subscribed for all time sake; and glad you really enejoyed Z, and gave them a rave review; but, they are native English speakers. They were raised bilingual from the majority of their childhood, 💁‍♂ which has all been captured on camera. 😆

Ironically, apparently (from what I’ve read that their own father said and others), when very young, Ale was the best singer, with perfect pitch and natural vibrato, Pau next, then Dany. However, the margin of difference in natural gifts between them is very very narrow, and with them all being very musically gifted then any one of them could have become the lead vocalist if they wanted to… and Dany apparently wanted to more than her Pau (and found it easier to while Pau played drums), and Ale had no desire to be lead singer… So Ale never progressed or actually got less control through puberty (my own observations and personal professional experience), Pau and Dany both worked very hard on it, but Dany likely worked harder than anyone else… and voila… currently one of the greatest voices in rock. Pau also is excellent in lead vocals, and Ale only recently has appeared (from my own observations) to start to get better control over her voice again to the point of feeling comfortable singing without her sisters doubling or harmonizing. Voices are such funny things with the tone being baked into the person, but attitudes often overtaking certain other areas. All that being said, they can all sing like crazy, and Dany can sing any style and make it convincing

This concert video sets the bar for what live show recordings should aspire to. It's got great audio, great video with plenty of good angles and just the right amount of fan footage mixed in to really give you that feel that you are there. Some complain that there isn't enough crowd noise in the video, but I think the way it is, showcases the band itself more. And at this stage, that is what it should be about. The band and their music. As for opinions, I'd rather hear your honest take, than some fake flattery. I've tuned out a lot of reactors because you can tell they are just phoning it in. Or their commentary really doesn't add much at all.

IMHO, Dany's live performance has not always been recorded with the right microphone. Her early studio tracks sound better than her early live tracks. The SM-58 used on their earlier live shows is a great mic, but not appropriate for some female voices - especially those with lower registers. The proximity effect of that mic creates boominess and covers up the important mid-frequencies where the vocal is most intelligible. These new mics (SE Electronics V7 capsule on a Shure wireless transmitter, perhaps??? I'm guessing.) …are a much better choice for her. I'm sure, too, that recording with David Bendeth (producer on *Error*) taught their whole team about advanced audio processing techniques to make vocals "sit up in the mix." Vocal cord maturation has helped all of them, but has also seemed a bit awkward for Ale to get used to at times. Pau really shines on several songs in this concert where she takes the lead. *23* is heart-wrenchingly emotive. *Revenant* is delivered sensitively, as Pau sits on a stool with the others, including a guest artist on baso quinto (ten-string acoustic bass). *Disciple* (where all three sing) is a head banger. During intermission, Pau sings *Breathe* in a recording done hauntingly on an out of tune piano, as the audience wave their phones like we waved lighters in the 1970s. In reality, if she weren't so active on drums, Pau could sing more. Her lead voice is both complementary to Dany's and a nice alternative. The whole concert is amazing. It was an all-out effort to shine in front of two sold out crowds in Mexico City's classic theater, Teatro Metropolitan. The mix is excellent, as they saved the live multitrack audio feeds for later mixing and mastering.
