Crazy fact about this song. During the Sierra Leone civil war, the militia played this song heavy. Tupac was a big inspiration to the rebels. They played his music, wore his shirts, and used his attitude to attribute to their worldviews. This man was powerful.
AGREED. Pacs ability to string together such an impactful verse without using silly ass punchlines is the main reason I love his music the most. This verse and his 1st verse on Still I Rise are legendary
I like to compare them like Eminem is a pin point laser guided nuclear missile, Extremely complex and technical, a pinnacle of modern science that would obliterate anyone he took aim at but Tupac was a Volcano, an unstoppable force of nature and no matter how clever your weapon systems get (Eminem) they simply can't match mother nature (Tupac)
I am from the uk and listend to Tupac for 18 years. Since I was 17 years old. And still blasting this track. I never heard any rapper mc with a voice and lyrics and just meaning every word he says. Like that last verse oh my god. A mean Tupac was a speaker standing up for the poor and the forgotten man in society. He just got through to you with his voice and energy its like he sucks you. No mc rapper comes close even of this one track. Period we miss you 2pac goat.
The 3rd verse is the hardest on the song it's like he keeps building and building up to that verse . One of the greatest 2pac songs ever . When people say he wasn't lyrical I know they slow as hell
Literally grew up on tupac I cry when I hear certain songs because he saved my life literally when I thought I couldn't go on with way things were in my life he understood me from inside out
@ayeitsnoura The song that both 2Pac and Nas sampled this beat from is the song 'Friends' by the rap group Whodini (1984). Both Nas' song and Pac's song were recorded in 1996 but Pac's was not released until 1998, 2 years after he died. Dope reaction by the way.
I’m new to your channel and Tupac is also my favorite I love your vibe and your style and the fact that you have the knowledge to even learn something great keep up the good work great concert PS you’re gorgeous
Pac all about you..cameo sample candy. R.I.P.Pac and Johnnie j, he produced this song and his best hits in my opinion underrated producer..I love beats🔊
Tupac sampled the beat from Nas “if I ruled the world” and he basically dissed Nas, mobb deep, biggie and other people. Tupac said this at a concert name “house of blues”
She didn't catch the candy man line .... candy man is from a movie that if you said candyman 3 times in front of a mirror candy man would come out and come kill you that's why he said say my name 3 times like candy man
Yes. He sampled Nas "If I ruled the world (feat. Lauryn Hill)" bc of their beef. Go Listen to "The Message - Nas" Nas called 2Pac a fake thug and how Nas got shot but never happen. 2Pac said "Nas is talking about my life on his album!"
Yes that is if I I ruled world sample he does it live in house of blues you can find it in here where he says I'm going take his beat and whoop his ass on his own beat.
PAC went hard like this pretty much all the time lol y’all just now reacting to this. I grew up when this came out and it was crazy back then lol pac was in a league of his own
Everybody say whos better Pac or dmx ok Pac was a poet and spoke for black Panthers he was a speaker dmx was about his hood and very strong and raw so lyrical Pac but I love dmx
PAC was in a pissed mood around this time....he just got out of prison and was goin at the dudes who shot him in NYC, biggie , mobb deep and a host of others
Tupac and nas had some beef going on and he sung this song live at the house of blues , pac said “ I’m going to take this Nigga beat and whoop his ass with his own muhfucka beat “ he’s such a goat lol
