Fact about puma is that they are telling a real life story about a Puma that escaped from the zoo and killed before it harmed someone.

Puma was inspired by a true story about the puma who died when it ran away from the zoo due the authority's negligence. There are different sides of the story, but most importantly the song revolves around how the puma felt when it finally escaped to the zoo and became free. It talks about how scary the world was when it was all alone there. The police were chasing it but it just ran for it's freedom, which indicates no matter how dark it is outside, though he doesn't know where he should go or even if it gets killed in the hand of police, he would rather have his freedom. The song really puts a lot of emphasis on the importance of freedom, be it the literal freedom of one being captive inside a place where he doesn't want to live, or the freedom of his speech, action, the way of living. On the other hand It feels like they are talking about their trainee period when they were locked inside the walls of the practice room, ("I see my mothers face I've longed for..... a saddened heart"...."How long till I reach my dreams?...Only gunshots ring out on that question"). But the freedom here means debuting. They lived without their parents or family for a long time and always questioned how long till they reach their dreams. But even after suffering long enough on the "cage", the moment they debuted, they started facing different harsh criticisms from the world, people started putting different false accusations on them. "Enemies" here might represent the antis who are always keeping an eye on them and trying to put them down. ("The scopes zero on your neck. Thousands of eyes get on internet. beware, enemies are everywhere"). But they are fulfilling their dreams, so they are still happy, they would still choose their dreams, ("But somehow I still feel happy"). The whole MV might also revolve around how some people remain controlled by the society. They are always asked to chase this one particular goal/boundary which is set by them as "perfection". People fight to reach this same goal and end up loosing themselves and their close ones. As their stylist said, the money in the socks in Devil By The Window represents them being seduced by the devil. yay bestie..thanks for another TXT reaction ❤ Fun fact... - We Lost The Summer music is written by Charlie XCX - If you pay closely to WLTS mv, the video ratio change. Some time the ratio 1:1, sometime 3:4 ..is same like the ratio when we post on tiktok or insta or even youtube - They perform WLTS on Ellen Show (which they reupload the video back on TXT channel). You should watch it - TXT bop/catchy song always have sad lyrics - TXT choreographer has mentioned that the money in their socks represent Devil's temptation - PUMA full title in Korean is "Puma escaping from the zoo" which based on real life event in Seoul about puma escape from the local zoo but instead catching it & put back to the zoo, the authorities shot it instead because the tranquilizer wasn't working. - TXT has another song called "What If I've Been That Puma" (but the Korean title is called "Balance Game") which suppose to be their thinking what will they do if they become that Puma that managed to escape from the zoo. Well as you know, Balance Game is all about decision from 50/50 options March 4th is TXT Debut Anniversary, so be prepared because 1 whole week leading to their anniversary, they will have "Dream Week@ with lots of content either pictures, weverse interview or mv. Magic Island, Angel or Devil, Nap Of a Star and Eternally are well worth watching/listening to, but are all b sides that are title track worthy. For Eternally, maybe listen to the song separately before watching the MV, as the music is cut up in the MV and you will lose the impact the song has. Btw, you are right about your interpretation of Puma. It is a true story about an escaped puma, but also a metaphor for idol life and the critique they have faced since then. Opening sequence depicts the first stage of grief (the other 4 tracks on minisode II are based on the other stages) and is about a breakup.

If you get to watch the first Music Bank performance of Devil By the Window, it's has a 1930s Berlin film noir feel in the way its staged, with the background and the lighting. For some reason, it fit with the song and the performance. They didn't recreate it on any other music show stage, just that first MuBank. I loved it, the Big Hit team poured so many creative influences into the Temptation comeback and it just worked.
