The evidence for Euron being a pupil of Bloodravens is that Euron mentions When he was a boy, he dreamt that he could fly, before saying “Perhaps we can fly. All of us. How will we ever know unless we leap from some tall tower?” Just like Bran did before having his fly or die dream, in which he is visited by the Three Eyed Crow. Euron also has one eye just as bloodraven does, both are Kinslayers and both are associated with Blood and Crows/Ravens, so it’s clear George is drawing some connection between them and could suggest that he was visited by Bloodraven in dream

I legitimately think this theory is very likely to be true.
@PinkGrapefruit22
@PinkGrapefruit22 3 месяца назад
There's also Bran in his fly or die dream looking down and seeing a pile of bones, hinting that there were many, many others before him who failed to "fly." It would also give some explanation to why Euron is so batshit insane, if he was having these wild visions at a young age.
@tomblaylock5850
@tomblaylock5850 3 месяца назад
The connections are definitely not 'loose' like they said in video. Another thing is his other eye is dark red and he has a red eye on his banner crowned by two crows - Blood raven's eye is red and so too weirwoods (I think). I've also seen an argument that having a ship manned by mutes would be extremely difficult to manage. So him being a warg and controlling them makes sense. And warging isn't just "North magic" because it is implied the Farwynds have warging abilities.
@SuzakuX
@SuzakuX 3 месяца назад
I think this is also another area where you can use the show as a sort of negative to guess where the book will go due to the obvious deviations. There is no Night King in the books, but Euron has Dragonbinder and Aeron's vision suggests him becoming a sort of god of death, raising wights from the charnel pits of Westeros, IIRC.

There was a very interesting line on the last episode of HotD Season 1, when Otto brings terms to Dragonstone and says about Aegon II: "He has the conqueror's name, he has the conqueror's sword, he wears the conqueror's crown." I think these will all apply to fAegon too: he has the name, there already is a theory that Blackfyre is in the chest hat Illyrio sends with the crew on the Shy Maid, and Aegon's crown went conspicuously missing in Dorne. It really pisses me off when people dismisses this theory saying it's outlandish. Like are you kidding me? Lady Stoneheart turned white. Theon, who doesn’t even have anything to do with magic turns white after his metaphorical resurrection and you are telling me that JON won't? Not only will his resurrection be much more magical than Lady Stoneheart but also it will be great hint toward his Targaryen lineage and he'd literally be the embodiment of the old gods and ghost; whose personality will marge with that of Jons. If the dragons belonged to strict followers of the Seven who werent Valyrian who worshipped the institution of maesters then the maesters wouldnt have a problem with them existing. Something that i think goes overlooked a lot with the Grand Maester conspiracy is the context of Marwin's line about "who do you think killed all the dragons last time around?". He says it RIGHT after telling Sam that the Citadel would have killed Aemon if he made it to Oldtown. I think the line is more likely to be using "dragons" to refer to Targaryens, and its a reference to the maesters causing the downfall of the dynasty in general, not specifically the scaly fire doggos

I get what you're saying but with there not being any targs near the end of the dynasty that u could even really speculate that the maesters killed i think and the fact that unlike the actual dragons the targs never went extinct i think Marwin was probably referring to the firebois, if George was going for what ur saying id say he'd have used something vaguer like "who do you think brought down the dragons last time"

My favorite theory that I truly believe and really hope is true is that the wizard guy in the cave (Bloodraven) is NOT the three eyed crow that Bran sees in his dreams. When Bran asks Bloodraven if he is the three eyed crow, Bloodraven is confused, and thinks Bran is talking about the nights watch. The children of the forest also don’t refer to him as the three eyed crow, but instead as the last greenseer, and don’t seem to know what the three eyed crow is. Same with Coldhands, he calls him the last greenseer. In Bran’s dreams, there’s the three eyed crow, but there’s also the heart trees calling to him. This is actually bloodraven. Also why have bloodRAVEN be the three eyed CROW. GRRM almost definitely created the backstory for bloodraven after the three eyed crow existed already, so why make him associated with ravens and not crows. Bloodraven is always warging into ravens, like teaching Bran to fly, Mormont’s raven, or the ravens in Theon’s sample chapter. The 3EC is future Bran, visiting his younger self to guide him on his journey of becoming a greenseer

@Levacque
@Levacque 3 месяца назад
Think about how confused Bran was when Jojen told him Bran appeared as a winged and chained wolf in his green dreams. People don't know what their dream avatar looks like, that's why Bloodraven was surprised - "Three-Eyed Crow" is not a phrase he would have heard before. Not to mention that Bran unknowingly uses terms that intimately describe Bloodraven's past lives as spymaster and Night's Watchman . That combined is enough to be caught off guard without him needing to be a whole new character.
@jaimelannister1797
@jaimelannister1797 3 месяца назад
@@Levacque but what about the heart trees in Bran’s dreams calling to him. I can’t remember which chapter exactly it is but Bran has a dream where the heart tree is calling to him, and the three eyed crow is trying to turn him away from the heart tree. They’re in conflict with each other. Plus the three eyed crow flies around in Bran’s dreams and pecks at him. In Bran’s first dream he asks the 3EC if he’s really a crow, and the crow acknowledges the question with “are you really falling?” So it should be aware that it’s a crow in Bran’s dreams

About the Aegon Blackfyre theory, there's tons more of foreshadowing. In a Brienne chapter in a FFC, there's a conversation with Septon Meribald where he talks of a black dragon iron sigil that was thrown into a river, and some time later one of the dragon's heads came back, red with rust. This can be interpreted as a black dragon (a Blackfyre), coming back to Westeros seeming to be a red dragon (a Targaryen). There is also a conversation where Tyrin asks Illyrio about why the Golden Company broke his contract with Myr, and he responded "Some contracts are written in ink, some in blood", hinting at the purpose the Golden Company was formed for. And finally, George read a Tyrion chapter in 2005, where Tyrion is listening to Illyrio and Haldon Halfmaester speak in High Valyrian, and he catches only a few words, one of them sword, probably meaning Blackfyre, the sword of the Targaryen kings that was given to Daemon Blackfyre and after his death travelled to Essos with Bittersteel and the Golden Company. There's tons more, this is one of the main accepted theories I would say.

@Otsego
@Otsego 3 месяца назад
Indeed. This is likely where his Crow symbolism came from. He also has a lot of literary parallels to Blood Raven. The other evidence for possible Warg/Green magic is his ship. The Silence is crewed by mutes. All slaves who's tongues have been removed. There must be some form of deeper communication as they never show any kind of sign language but are in lock step with each other. Also the Iron Islands quite possibly descend from the First men like the Starks. As far as Regional magic goes, there are many who blend or try to collect different forms. Marwyn the Mage is the best example of this but Blood Raven himself was a mix of Targaryen dragon magic and Blackwood northern warg/greenseer magic.

My favorite plausible theory (head cannon in my mind) is that during the purple wedding Littlefinger acted alone, posioned the pie (not the wine) and his tatget was Tyrion, not Joffrey, and he just rolled with it once Sansa explained what happened and he heard the bells signaling the king was dead. It makes way more sense as LF needs Tyrion dead for many reasons: 1) He wants Sansa single (to marry her either to himself or to Harry). 2) Tyrion claimed he knows who killed Jon Arryn and LF heard 3) Tyrion knows about the dagger incident 4) Tyrion didnt fulfill his promise of the Sweet Robin - Myrcella marriage pact while being hand. 5) LF actually was the one that hired the jousting darwves, something that was sure to cause conmotion and a conflict between Tyrion and Joffrey 6) I think even if Olenna was the mastermind, the pie was poisoned and not the chalice as we were told that Margaery was drinking from that

One Lysa theory, posited by David Lightbringer, is that she was addicted to the Milk of the Poppy. This addiction was supplied and nourished by Littlefinger, to further foster her dependence upon him. The evidence for this is emphasized by the relatively late breastfeeding that we're shown. Sweet Robin has been getting a downstream dosage of Milk of the Poppy for YEARS, which explains his unexplained symptoms. They're withdrawal symptoms, that are getting worse now that Lysa isn't breastfeeding him anymore. It's also why Petyr is having Alayne give him more Milk of the Poppy than the Maester would sign-off on. Lil dude has a built-up tolerance for the drug through repeated exposure over an extended time. There's nothing magical going on with him.

I definitely think it’s possible Sweet Robin has green dreams or is magical in some way. For me it was when he heard Marillion’s cries and no one else in the Eyrie did. I then thought back and realised he sits on a weirwood throne, it isn’t much really at all but I like the idea that like his cousin he’s got a drop of magical blood in him. Edit: I also find it odd that a frail young kid can survive the amount of sweetsleep he’s consumed. We’re told by Maester Coleman that the quantities have to be exact as it’s deadly in larger doses. Sweet Robin chugs it down often to no problem, he’s having his green dreams suppressed. I wear my tin foil hat proudly so take this with a grain of salt lol

Sweet Robin is most likely as he is because Lysa was made to drink Moontea by her father after she slept with Littlefinger when they were very young still. Yup. Magic overlaps a ton in the text. Bloodraven is the very embodiment of that. But it wouldn't even have to overlap. Warging isn't just a Stark trait, but a Northern and wildling trait. Most Northmen and wildlings have first men lineage. Bloodraven gets his warging abilities from family lineage from the one of the few first men left below the neck. The Iron Islands has first men origins. To really plug into the theory, it's thought bloodraven put out his feelers, tapped Euron and backed all the way off when he realized how horrible he is. Euron looks all over the world and into all religions to find a way to tap into that power again and instead finds many different ways to commune with many different "gods".

I'm so torn about this one. On the one hand, really fascinating if Tywin's disdain is in part because Tyrion isn't actually his son, and also just being a Targaryen has a lot of impact on the story. On the other hand, I feel like that might be a repetitive theme considering we have something similar with Catelyn/Jon and I'm not sure it would really help Tyrion's character arc in interesting ways.

One of my favourite theories is that Sweet Robin is the son of Lysa and Littlefinger. It is fairly obvious that that old Jon Arryn had fertility problems with his multiple wives and all. Additionally, Sweetrobin resembles Baelish much more than the handsome, strong, blonde Jon Arryn. Not only is this theory plausible, it has some very fun ramificatons. I like to think that Jon Arryn was killed because he was snooping around, trying to uncover the parentage of Tommen, Myrcella and Joffrey and it just hit a bit too close to home for Littlefinger. In fact, maybe he figured it out and his famous last words "The seed is strong" was actually referring to Robin!! (ok, thats definitely a stretch). It's also just so sick and twisted (and totally GRRM) for Littlefinger to poison his own son with "sweetsleep" It also kinda makes the Alayne story a fun ironic twist of itself! Sweet Robin wants to marry Alayne, but Alayne tells him that it isn’t proper for a noble like him to marry a bastard. If Sweet Robin is Littlefinger’s son, then that statement becomes true, but in the opposite direction. Alayne, who is the actual noble Sansa posing as Littlefinger’s daughter, couldn’t marry the bastard Sweet Robin, who is actually Lysa and Littlefinger’s bastard son. What do you think?

On the fake Blackfyre theory, my personal favourite idea is that Aerion Brightflame's descendant was meant to be the "mummer's dragon", so likely the fake Aegon. This is because a) Hedge Knight introduces this new Brightflame faction, including its own unique arms b) Brightflame is mentioned several times in ACOK, which is of course where we see the "mummer's dragon" first mentioned. I like this because it fits with his gardener mentality. He started writing about the Blackfyres, found them more compelling, and then phased out the Brightflame mentions in favour of the Blackfyres. People have also been theorising that Aegon isn't dead since the first book. I 100% believe in Jojen paste. Bran III in ADWD is such a dark chapter, there's so many different times that cannibalism is brought up throughout his story, and it completely fits within the idea of sacrifice being required for magic. This is especially true for Old Gods magic, where people would leave human sacrifices on the weirwoods. All the signs point to it being true, in my opinion.

Jojen Paste is the kind of thing that your forebrain naturally rejects at first because it's so unpleasant, but once you give it a chance you realize it's the only possibility. It took me about two weeks to come to terms with it, same with my friend when I told him. We hung out and I told him, he thought it was ridiculous, then he brought it up two weeks later unprompted. Jojen Paste gets into your psyche and opens your mind to the truth, just like it did with Bran.
@maxt5319
@maxt5319 3 месяца назад
@@Levacque That's a very good way of putting it. It's a very dark outcome for Jojen and for Bran. Jojen has lived his life knowing his death and what will happen, so it adds a layer of horror on top of the entire thing. GRRM is a very accomplished horror writer, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if Jojen paste is true, I certainly think it's the most likely outcome. There's a scene in Fevre Dream, a vampire horror novel that GRRM wrote, which is so awful that I honestly can expect anything from him. If you've not read it, give it a try.

Regarding Tyrion Targaryen and his blonde hair: When Jon meets Tyrion he says his hair is "so blond it seemed white", so his hair does seem like it could be Targaryen silver mistaken for blonde. While Tyrion Targaryen could be a big end series reveal and there is some decent evidence for it, I'm personally on the side of there being no answer and it's purposely ambiguous. Tywin died saying he never believed Tyrion was his son, but he couldn't prove it. Tyrion saying that he is "[Tywin] writ small" is GRRM telling us it doesn't matter who Tyrion's biological father is, Tywin was his real father regardless. Tyrion as Aerys' son deserves way more discussion, if only because supplemental materials hint so strongly at it. The author has blatantly invited us to consider this theory. World of Ice and Fire has lines that are included purely to make us consider this theory. So we should consider it. Like it or not, it fits the narrative extremely well. It is a twist that would have significant impacts on all the major themes of the story. 1) Identity - Tyrion's character is defined by his relationship with his father. When Tyrion is first introduced, he says his famous line: "all dwarves are bastards in their father's eyes." Tyrion thinks his father hates him because he is a dwarf, but it's really because Tyrion is the son of Tywin's bitter rival. Tyrion's relationship with his father is directly compared to Jon's. 2) Morally gray characters - Tywin is the ultimate villain, but we've never seen his point of view. Raising this child as his own is sympathetic. His hate for Tyrion is wrong, but understandable. By lying about Tyrion's parentage and bearing the personal insult of having a dwarf child, Tywin saved the child's life and prevented a war. On the other hand, Ned is a hero. But by lying about Jon's parentage and his sister's love affair, Ned selfishly protected the status of his house and started a horribly destructive war. Tywin is not pure evil and Ned is not pure good. 3) 3 heads of the dragon - It seems we need 3 Targaryen riders for the 3 heads of the dragon (according to all the prophecies and such). Danaerys is explicitly one of them. Jon is the obvious secret Targaryen, and Fake Aegon is the red herring Targaryen. We need a third, unexpected to replace Aegon when he turns out to be fake. People want Tyrion to be Lannister because he is so much like Tywin... This twist is where GRRM gets to make his point about nature vs. nurture. DNA does not determine who people are. Tyrion IS Tywin's son, because that's his life experience, his own identity. Tyrion and Tywin have different notions of Tyrion's identity. The genetic connection between Targs and dragon magic is related to blood sacrifice and evil in nature. Many people died in Robert's Rebellion, ultimately for Jon. So Jon has some evil blood sacrifice magically attached to him. Tyrion does not have this evil because Tywin protected him from it. IDK how this will play out in the magical war of Ice and Fire to end the books, but it is a way to tie all the themes together.

He won them over by promising them conquest. Theres actually some hints that Euron could be a skinchanger. The main reason I believe that he skinchanges regularly is that his whole crew is mute. Which would raise a lot of questions on how they manage to deal with basically anything on the ocean if hes not skinchanging his crew. The dusky woman specifically? Well, she is just as mute as Eurons crew, so... On a more serious note, I dont think we have enough to figure out whats her deal yet, but she does seem to be more than a regular spy for now. The most noteworthy thing she does is her agressive reaction to Moqorro, the red priest, coming on board. I am convinced we will find out why she has such an antipathy to him. The main evidence for the three eyed crow messaging Euron is Euron mentioning him dreaming about flying from a tall tower to Victarion. When he woke up he couldnt fly, or so the maester would have him believe. But what if he was lying? This is basically one to one mirroring Brans experience when he has the dream with the three eyed crow and Luwin telling him it was just a dream. Bran also sees the bones of previous dreamers in his vision, so we know that the three eyed crow tried to find a successor many times. Not to mention that it is canon that some ironborn can skinchange. So Euron could be one of the skinchangers. Last but not least, why would Euron, son of Quellon, brother to Balon, Victarion and Aeron even start to become interested in magic rituals? By the time he was born, magic was basically nonexistant in Westeros. Wouldnt it make much more sense for him to live his life as some kind of Ramsay Bolton, torturing his family, raping and pillaging villages on the coast, basically being just a more cruel "basic" ironborn? Euron might not be Daario, but im convinced that he is Urrathon Night-Walker btw.

@joshuabarnard5702

I also don’t agree with Euron=Daario, but I was laughing at the video because Euron’s whole deal is his “smiling eye” and pretending to being suave and charismatic and manipulating people. The best instance of this is Falia Flowers, who Euron seduces and gets Falia to believe that Euron genuinely loves her and she’ll be his wife…for literally no reason. Other than to break her soul. Euron could have just raped Falia to get her pregnant with a baby with king’s blood to sacrifice. There was no reason to actually rizz her up. So it’s very much within Euron’s character to pretend to be Daario. Even though that’s probably not the case.

About Bolt-On: Roose planned to kill his bastard and the woman for lying about him being Rooses child but he spared them when he noticed that the babe had his eyes. Ramsays eyes being the same as Rooses could potentially be important if he was an immortal skinwearer. Roose is also obsessed with keeping his blood pure with leeches. We get the idea that he doesnt really care about much that is going on around him. Lady Dustin mentions that she thinks he sees all of them just as little chess pieces. All of that would make a lot of sense if he had actually been around for a long time. Unlike Euron being a skinchanger, I dont actually believe this theory, but I do think theres something more going on with Roose.

To me, just to ask the question "who are Jon's parents" is already a very revealing spoiler. There's no indication on the story that this is relevant. So I was really afraid that this part was going to be ruined for you, it's nice to get a satisfying conclusion from your ASOIAF reading arc. 😁 The think about Jon's parentage is that it is not presented as a mystery. So the reader go through the whole books without giving it a second thought. He being Ned's bastard is just a good excuse to have a "Stark" on the Wall, and he might even be the heir of Dawn. George implies a very comfortable backstory already, there's no reason for the reader to think about it. But when you DO think about it, it opens up that the question is indeed much more important that previously thought. The minor character detail becomes a major world-building set piece. It's really outstanding writing.
@Bookborn
@Bookborn 3 месяца назад
Agreed! Luckily I was firmly set on who Jon’s mom was - although someone implied the father thing and Kyle had to lie and be like “they are just show people” to throw me off and not think about it 🤣 it annoys me in retrospect that people were so free with it because it’s much more interesting to think of it for yourself. That’s why if im in a non spoiler talk, I always say Jon’s mom.
@VinAbuqrq
@VinAbuqrq 3 месяца назад
@@blaubeer8039 Well, as I said, "The minor character detail becomes a major world-building set piece." If nothing else, Jon's parentage gives the reader a complete new view of the biggest historical event on the last twenty years, an event that still echos in the story we are reading it. Not only that, the revelation also gives a complete new view to one of the main characters of the series, Ned Stark. So as a world-building piece, Jon's parentage has a HUGE relevance. For example, as it was mentioned on the video itself, Ned's stance on the Daenerys murder plot has a whole new dimension under the light of Jon's parentage. That was what I talking about. I think it is pretty obvious and uncontroversial, to be honest. Now, I don't see your arguments relating to my original point, but I will give my thoughts on it if you want it. For the character, I agree that it is not something Jon would pursue, and that is why I said it is a minor character detail. I don't think the reveal will fundamentally alter Jon as a character. But it does have relevance to the people around him, and if the people do choose to follow him, Jon is someone who would accept the duty of governance. I mean, as you mentioned, he did it at the Wall. He has full respect for Mance Rayder, who did it North of the Wall. So if Jon's parentage is relevant to the rest of Westeros, that can affect Jon closely. And finally, this is something few people talk about... Jon Snow would never be Azor Ahai, but he would be Nissa Nissa. I think that is very likely that at the end of the story Jon will Jesus Christ himself, and according to implications on magic that are given to us readers, him having king's blood is extremely relevant also. I think this argument "ancestry does not matter" is actually a very unfair reading of the story, and I've only seen it seriously discussed by content creators that for a long time were critical of the idea of R+L=J. Now that no alternative proposal really stuck, they are changing to "it doesn't really matter" as oppose to admitting they were wrong.
@Milwaukhehe
@Milwaukhehe 3 месяца назад
@@blaubeer8039 Except it does matter because it changes so much of what the reader is told. Jon being a hidden prince and not a bastard also changes every relationship he had where his being a bastard was a major component. It also matters because Jon has always wanted to know who his mom was so to find out it wasnt who people speculated it was would also matter because it would shine new light on Ned from Jons perspective.
@Milwaukhehe
@Milwaukhehe 3 месяца назад
I definitely disagree that Jons parentage is presented as cut and dry. In the first book you can say that Jons mom was without a doubt Ashara Dayne. However as you go along things start to not add up, why the secrecy about Jons mom, why are there suddenly multiple candidates for who Jons mom was, and theres probably other things that Im forgetting. By the time I read through the series I knew there was something that wasnt being said about Jons parentage I just couldnt tell what. After I read the series then I heard about R+L=J. Having R+L=J in your head and rereading shines even more light on things especially with Ned, his seemingly off feelings towards Rhaegar, his remembering of someone elses pleas when Sansa is pleading for Ladys life, Ned finding Lyanna and smelling blood & roses.

This was alot of fun to watch, you're reaction to the whole Euron being Dario was funny AF. Probably my 3 most favorite theories that you guys didn't cover are: 1. Mance Rayder, Qhorin HalfHand and Tormund Giantsbane are actually Arthur Dayne, Oswell Whent and Gerold Hightower. They don't have two-handed swords in the wildling army, Mance wanted to know what it was like feeling Dawn in his hands again. Oswell is a bad actor, he's even harr harr-ing Jon at some point. I think what happened at the tower of Joy was a conversation, not a fight. 2. Shae is Sarella Sand, one of Oberyn Martell's daughters and she was in the battlecamp probably through Littlefinger, FOR Tywin. We know Tywin is a hypocrit, he has tunnels built from the Red Keep to a brothel. Shae was with a knight of no relevance to throw off people, so that when Tywin wanted, he could have easy access. The other thing about Shae is she seems to have been Bowed, Bent and Broken by either Littlefinger or Oberyn... AND she see's through Varys' glamour. (giving credit to the Merman-theory). 3. I know you discussed Jon's mom, but for the last one I'm going to point something out rarely anyone seems to have spotted. Jon is Ned's firstborn son, and you can see it as early as the group discovering the pack of direwolves. Bran and Robb are both legitimate kids with fairly reasonable points for wanting to keep the pups but are declined. But the bastard brings up a math equation and a symbolic suggestion and everyone gets a pup? Ned listens to his first-born. Jon was in Winterfell before Catlyn arrived with Robb.

So for the Secret Blackfyre theory, not only is Aegon a Blackfyre, but so is Varys. Varys was castrated for a magical ritual as a child, but why would a sorcerer want to use some beggar child's genitals for a magic spell? Because there is power in King's blood. We know this from Melisandre, and Varys even said that he heard a voice from the flames that his genitals were burned in so there is a connection there. The sorcerer seemed to practice the same magic as Melisandre so he would know the power of King's blood. Varys also keeps himself clean shaven and completely bald. Perhaps to hide his pale blonde hair that all Blackfyres have? Just like Egg does. And Barristan Selmy said that it was Varys whispering in the Mad King's ear that convinced him that everyone including his own son Rhaegar was plotting against him, which fueled his paranoia. Of course Varys would seek to sabotage the Targaryen reign if he really is a Blackfyre. Varys was chosen by the sorcerer because he has Kings blood. Blackfyre blood. It's why he played a role in the downfall of House Targaryen, encouraging the worst impulses of the Mad King. It's why he's so dedicated to putting Aegon on the throne. He could never take it for himself ever since becoming a Eunuch, so he made it his life's goal to place Illyrio and Serra's child on the Iron Throne. Serra is probably his sister, so Illyrio is his brother in law and Aegon is his nephew.

Not even George is consistent with pronunciations (he says Doth-rak-eye), and the show flipflops depending on the actor's dialect so I don't think you need to worry at all about how to pronounce things !! Also the whole Euron is Bloodraven's apprentice who might have gone rogue rests entirely on the line Euron says about how could you know if you can't fly if you never dared to leap from some tall tower, which is entirely the magical awakening that Bran has. If Euron didn't learn to fly in his dreams from Bloodraven and fell, maybe something broke in his mind and he became obsessed with learning magic and all his other apocalyptical god-ascension hobbies.

I will die on the hill that Euron is both a warg and former student of Bloodraven, or at least Bloodraven contacted Euron through his dreams. There are references to Ironborn being able to warg into seals and whales (I believe it’s the Farwynds of Lonely Light but I could be wrong) so it’s not just a Northern magic but First Men specifically, or at least that’s how I view it. But even then Targs/Valyrians seem to be able to warg their dragons or at the very least have a psychic connection. Also Euron’s ship the Silence is crewed by mutes and it would be impossible to man a ship without communication so I believe he wargs his crew. With regards to Bloodraven. In a Victarion chapter after the Kingsmoot, Euron tells Vic about a dream he had when he was younger that sounds almost identical to Bran’s awakening after his fall from the tower. Then there’s the surface level connections with crows and all that but I believe it’s very strongly hinted through that conversation about the dream. This comment might be a bit sloppy because I’m not giving direct quotes from the books, but it is in there. Just had to pause the video in the section about Euron/Daario to leave my two cents. I don’t believe that Euron is Daario though that’s too farfetched even for an admittedly tin foil fan myself.

Also 1) the amount of time spent on Quentin's storyline increases the odds of it being a fakeout death - there are no other instances of POV characters lasting multiple chapters only to be killed off within the same book, 2) dragon fire is supposed to be unbelievably hot but it takes Quentin a few seconds to realize he's on fire and he doesn't describe himself as being in any pain, 3) there's weak precedent of a Targaryen surviving fire with Dany and the birth of the dragons, albeit Martin himself has thrown cold water on the idea of Targaryens being completely immune

Faegon is THE theory I cling to hardest - and the biggest thing I think was missing from the show to make Dany's plot hang together - I think Aegon will take King's Landing and be king when Dany gets to Westeros - I think Dany will know he's a "fake" Targaryen but the public won't really know or care. - I think he'll actually be a decent king and the public will adore him (relatively speaking) - I think Dany being perceived as an usurper is going to be pivotal to her overreaches that lead to civilian casualties that lead to her going down the mad queen path (if the books do ultimately vaguely follow the show's plot)

Also, I would assume that FAegon and burning of King's Landing would be concluded before the "Second Long Night" rather than the reverse as in the show. But I guess it is possible that George will have it be a "Scouring of the Shire" kind of thing after the proper climax.

In defence of the Quentyn theory (im neutral on whether its real or not): Specifically to bookborns point on the thematics, yes i understand her thematic argument. However, as i understand the theory, and admittedly its been a while, but Quentyn was essentially set up to fail. He does not understand this, but whoever sent him didnt expect him to succeed, in fact, its possible they sent him to die. Quentyns sister Arianne is sent to treat with Aegon at around the same time. Quentyn isnt even the heir to Dorne, since titles run thru the female line. Is it possible Doran is covering both bases, sure. its also noteworthy that Quentyn has a similar background as Theon, in that he lives with the Martells biggest rivals in the area, the yronwoods, and everyone in that quest was affiliated with the rival family, not the Martells, so its also possible that if doran supported Aegon, then the yronwoods might support Dany. So ultimately, the thematic might be that 'hero goes on quest' and this gets flipped by him dying. Or, it could also be 'lackey gets set up to fail/die' and this gets flipped by him actually succeeding, which would throw a massive wrench into everyones plans.

It's a shame you didn't go into the other Jon's mom theories because some of them are great. My favorite is that Jon is really the son of Ashara Dayne, as everyone in Winterfell already believes, and his father is not Ned, but his elder brother Brandon, who was imprisoned in the Red Keep, where Ashara was being fostered. He is eventually killed, starting the war, but not before conceiving Jon in the dungeons of the Red Keep. The baby Ned finds in the Tower of Joy is Daenerys, Rhaegar and Lyanna's daughter. Before heading back north, he takes Arthur Dayne's super special sword back to Starfall (in western Dorne) to return it to the Dayne family. There he finds Ashara with his brothers bastard while he is in possession of a Targaryen bastard sure to be killed by Robert. To protect Dany, he hands her off to Dornish loyalists for safekeeping, leading to her growing up in the house with the red door, and he then dutifully takes his brother's bastard home. He accepts the shame of having a bastard both in order to shield Ashara and Brandon from shame and to disguise Dany's movements. Ned arrived in Starfall with a baby, and left with a baby, nothing sus there! Also the most likely candidate for the House with the red door is Tyrosh, it fits much better with all the memories Dany associates with the House adn the fact she speak Valyrian with a Tyroshi accent. Tyrosh is close to Dorne and midway between Pentos and Lys where Illyrio and Varys are from. Additionally, in early drafts the house is explicitly said to be in Tyrosh, and it'd be odd to alter that detail to make less sense. I think Viserys did flee from Dragonstone to Braavos before Willem signed the marriage pact with Dorne and they got set up in Tyrosh. Assuming R+L=D, then Viserys and Dany would be united for the first time in Tyrosh, and she'd just be told stories as if she were with Viserys the whole way. She's a more valuable bargaining chip as his sister rather than his bastard niece, so she takes that role instead and after leaving the house Viserys would tell her stories to keep her loyal, making it seem as though they'd always been together.
