I think you’re the only reactor I’ve seen so far that recognized Laynes voice as soon as he started singing. (If you know it, it’s unmistakable!) love to hear that sweet voice! Layne directed this, and it was so funny to see Ashley hit the floor, and for Layne to calmly say, “OK, and again.” Cesar said their video shoots should come with a gym membership.

Once you've listened to Voiceplay enough, you realize Voiceplay has the most unique voices in the acapella groups yet they still harmonize perfectly. You can pick out each member's voice every second of the song.

I read that this was the first Voiceplay video filmed in Layne’s new PattyCake Production studio prop house which has 15 foot ceilings as opposed to his old one with 10 foot ceilings. Made it possible to “levitate” Ashley higher.

That's why Phil put quote marks around the word levitate. The higher ceiling in the new studio made it possible to get the camera high enough for the shot looking down on the guys to make it look like she's high in the air... a perspective not possible in the old studio.

I thought I was the last living human not to have seen Stranger Things up to this point. I have not seen the relevant episode, but I know enough to know that Ashley got the better outcome. (being around VoicePlay is pretty much a guarantee of a better outcome no matter one's circumstances anyway!)

I haven’t really watched stranger things yet, but this song definitely had an awesome beat (props to Layne for another amazing arrangement, vocal percussion and singing). VoicePlay, and especially Ashley, definitely gave it an uplifting tone.

Dangit Kaz, that comparison to the wild child from Thornberrys always gets me, and this time you got me while I was taking a drink 🤣Thank you as always for making us laugh! Btw, I'd really recommend you check out Layne's production studio "PattyCake Productions" - Him and Tony write some amazing Disney-esque songs. I would highly recommend "Tough Love" to start out (I'm biased as it's my favorite), or their original song "Born Bad", a Cruella DeVille song.

I think it's the same technique Geoff used in My Mother Told Me. He's also said he doesn't do throat singing because it hurts. So I'm guessing overtones.

When I first heard voice play do this you were the very first person I thought of should do a reaction to this. And if you really want to understand why this song has such an impact , watch the original version of this done by Kate Bush. This was even used in a episode of Doctor Who.
