It would be great if Caitlin Clark had actually changed women's basketball and sports, but more accurately she just revealed that women's basketball could be changed. However The gatekeepers are doing their best to stop that and, instead of having a team from Smalltown that has the best coach and ends up with a top player plus an organic team that develops, they're going to reel it back in to the same five teams that have won 70% of the championships. Nobody wants to see that and that's why women's college basketball has always been dead on the vine. A good show would be delving into the psychosis of people who would cheer for this type of Monopoly as if that's sport. Whether it's out and out conclusion, or lack of oversight because the NCAA didn't "notice", or because it's the Red Auerbach back door type of League we all know having 10 blue chips on one team and having five graduate and be replaced by 5 new 5 stars is the farthest thing from sport. Even the undisputed goat Michael Jordan could not have beaten the Western conference All-Star team especially if he only had one decent role player like Horace Grant and the rest we're basically journeymen. Or what would happen if these current Denver nuggets were able to have five picks in the upcoming draft, and the next year after that and every year after that? Of course they would be going 80 into and that would be the end of it barring injury and they might lose a few if a couple other teams were also given five draft picks every year. In this analogy then the only way someone else comes up is if a top flight player says I'm not going to go into the draft. The weird part is there is this small and very loud contingent who cheer and think Dawn Staley is actually coach of the year for a team that Krusty the Clown could have taken to the championship. And then unfortunately the silent majority they just leave. Next year we're going to see the biggest fall in sports interest and viewership for one sport that we've ever seen

the fuck is that dawn section , she built the team from the ground up again after losing 5 starters and a sub bto the wnba and came back and beat a team who had chemistry that should like a coach of the year job to me

@@jamesgreene6718 well, the f*** is right my friend imagine the Denver nuggets losing five players and then getting five first round draft picks the very next year, and then the year after that, and then a year after that, we don't really call that rebuilding ...we would call that Red Auerbach style talent imbalance of the league. Nothing to brag about. This has been going on for decades in women's basketball and it's why nobody watches, nobody wants to watch a few teams monopolize all of the talent, and that's why everybody came to watch Clark and Iowa because they broke the Monopoly.

@@choppradioreactions I'd encourage having some shows on the topics of how stars are developed and conversely how stars can be buried. Exceptionally talented, unexpected, organically developed underdogs are rare phenomena (Tiger, Caitlin), but stars are many (A'ja, Paige) - yet cannot be seen in their own brilliance when grouped together in All-Star situations that deprive them of a chance to shine and build their own following. Monopolies kill sport.

I have been watching women's college basketball long before Caitlin Clark started playing and will continue to do so. Caitlin Clark tried to beat LSU and South Carolina in back to back Championship appearances and failed to do so. Stats are great but the ultimate goal is to win it all. I personally believe that the majority of viewers for the Championship game between Iowa and South Carolina wanted to see Iowa or Caitlin Clark win but the better team prevailed in the end.

In the WNBA they won't be able to TRIPLE team her, because the rest of her team will be too good to take defenders away from, just to suppress her.. The triple and double doubles were the clue in plain sight. She was half of the team in one person, she usually scored 1/3 to 1/2 of their points. and much of the other's points were from her assists, I've often heard that one of Larry Byrd's best talents was his ability to read the field, to know where to be and where to put the ball. Clark has that in spades but half of her assists weren't cashed in because the person she passed to, missed the shot. That won't happen in the Pros. If she fails it won't be on the court, it will be because a bunch of Narcissistic Black Dykes would rather cut off one of their own legs than let at White Princess "Breeder" from the Midwest steal their spotlight.

Stats are great but the ultimate goal is to win it all. " . So does that mean that Walter Payton, Earl Campbell, Charles Barkley, Dan Marino, Barry Sanders, etc,,, were just "so, so"? Basketball Championships aren't won by individuals, and no one is saying the Iowa Hawk Eyes among the Greats.

Do you really think that Bill Russell or Bob cousy or greater players than Wilt Chamberlain or Kareem abdul-jabbar? The Celtics had a backdoor stranglehold on talent until they reform the draft and brought in a salary cap. The 1960 Celtics almost destroyed the slice of the NBA because nobody wanted to watch when one team had such a monopoly on talent. It's exactly the same with women's college basketball where five teams have won 70% of the championships and when one of them like SC loses five five star players they immediately replace them with five new five star players. It's a monopoly it's not competition and it's a joke and a travesty to measure Caitlin Clark against The gatekeepers of an institution that is not sporting. You can come at me on this if you want to and that's fine but Caitlin Clark just showed that 500% more people would want to watch competitive and organically developed teams. All of those people are going to disappear and you're going to see the biggest drop in sports viewership for any League in a single year. People want competition not collusion, people don't want to see great players come up against unfairly stacked all-star teams
