The McMahon actors is one of my favorite ones. The theory is that the McMahon family are so ingrained into the deception aspect of carny culture that the McMahons that we've seen on TV and in public are actually actors that are part of WWE's show, and that we've never knowingly seen the actual McMahons before.
@alanheyes694

I like the idea of that.
@pedrotorresboreli9708
@pedrotorresboreli9708 11 месяцев назад
I read somewhere that it was from the Attitude Era onwards that they're actors. Like, the commentator Vince is the real Vince and that the one getting hit by stunners by SCSA was a stunt double. Like it was a way to Vince to capitalize from the heat from the Screwjob without taking real risks.

That might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my entire life… Vince McMahon went to court on drug charges. So you think that the us government isn’t only compliant but such a part of the wrestling fabric and this conspiracy that they fake charged an actor and brought him to court, costing them millions in taxpayer money? Stop smoking angel dust.

The one that I think holds merit. Is that Shawn Michaels was never really injured when he took his little sabbatical. WWE paid him to stay at home, so that he wouldn't go to WCW, where all his friends were. Then, when WCW shut down, and WWE no longer had to pay Shawn just stay at home. Oh, his backs okay all of a sudden.
@JesseEwiak
@JesseEwiak 11 месяцев назад
From what I remember (being old) and from looking at old Observers, HBK was really injured. Now, the reality was, by "wrestling standards", he was probably good to go to come back by 1999 or whatever, but he didn't want come back and play 2nd or 3rd fiddle to an Austin or Rock, plus he had legitimate substance issues (leading to him famously being sent home because he was in no condition to preform in 2000/2001 when they were teasing a comeback for the first time). Then, I think it's a combination of a lack of options + getting clean and sober + being fully recovered by normal human standards that led him to come back.
@undertheskysoblue5477
@undertheskysoblue5477 11 месяцев назад
Similar rumor, but I've always heard in the IWC that HBK was never really that injured. I remember someone showed the casket match clip and shown in show motion his back actually didn't land square on it. He left because he was livid because he wasn't the top guy and took his ball home like he did when he wasn't drawing well in the 90s with losing his smile.
@TheDarkVampire666
@TheDarkVampire666 11 месяцев назад
I don't believe that because there is no way that 90's Shawn would miss the biggest boom period in Wrestling history. He would easily have had a few more title reigns and main evented during that time.
@undertheskysoblue5477
@undertheskysoblue5477 11 месяцев назад
@@TheDarkVampire666 I think that was why he became a commissioner. He got the billing he wanted. The issue was buy rates and tv ratings for Shawn. He wasn't a good draw and wouldn't be able to outsell HHH, Rock, or Austin for the bulk of that run.
@kanenums8888
@kanenums8888 11 месяцев назад
I think Shawn was very injured, but it wasn’t 4 years out of wrestling injured, if you know what I mean. He hit the back of that casket hard! And I’m sure he has back pains to this very day.

My favourite wrestling conspiracy is a little more recent. After Bayley turned heel and eventually won the women’s championship she never wore the belt around her waist, she always carried it. The conspiracy is that she never wore it because of the design of her ring gear, it said “bayley” stylised as: B A Y L E Y And if she wore the women’s championship the centre line would have said AEW. B A Y L E Y W And to be honest I can totally see Vince being that petty.

I just looked at the match, and it absolutely wasn't an accident. Cena looks back right before he jumps off to make sure he lands properly, the only thing is it looks like Sheamus didn't shove him at all because he lost his balance. You can look at it and tell it was supposed to play out as Sheamus unceremoniously pushing Cena through the table to a shocked reaction, because it's literally the only way they could've made the finish believeable for Cena to lose to a rookie and to give Sheamus the win in a sorta heelish way.

Where to even start with this crap - absolute BULL as Rock was literally off doing movies straight after Mania and only came back due to ''Invasion'' tanking. I heard something similar to the Daniel Bryan one. It's the same as people saying the Montreal Screwjob was a work but it does make some sense because other doctors cleared Daniel Bryan and Vince McMahon did want Roman Reigns to be his number one babyface. There is also the fact that it only took 3 years for Daniel Bryan to be cleared whereas Edge took 11 years. Also by the time Daniel Bryan was cleared it had been over a year and a half since the 2016 draft. I don't believe this theory is true but I do think it's the most interesting and slightly more realistic than The Montreal Screwjob.

There's been conspiracies where thousands of people were involved, and it didn't come to light for decades and decades. In sweden, forced sterilization of people who were sick (mentally ill, migraines, homosexual, bizexuals, transpeople, people.with cerebral pulsey etc etc) was officially closed down in 1976. Yet, thousands of people knew that doctors were continuing forced sterilization without patients knowing, up until 1996 and the last forced sterilization in 2013. In 1996, it came out that several thousand people had kept quiet about it. Similar things have happened in many countries, with different things. There are different things that keep people from speaking out, especially if the responsible part has more power than the individual people who know about it. Also, many sign agreements, forcing them to keep quiet. The theory that all conspiracies involving more than two people always gets out, is a way get people to think conspiracies are not a common thing. Conspiracies happens all the time, from state level down to drama between friend-groups. 😊✌️

I just looked at Sheamus' first title win again and it honestly does look botched. I think the finish was supposed to be a draw with both he and Cena going through tables at the same time, and Sheamus just happened to fall in a way that didn't put him through the table. He kinda hits the apron so maybe he was going down at a dangerous angle and in a split second decision chose ruining the match over breaking his neck.

Sheamus falls off the top rope to the outside but hits too much ring apron but the table he's supposed to go through falls onto it's side instead of breaking. It didn't really matter. 3:15 EXACTLY, to this very day, Russo swears writing or scripting wrestling is so easy, he truly believed he would go to WCW and dominate the ratings and prove he was "The Man, BRO". Say what you want, but Vince can make insanity work to a certain degree, Russo thinks everything he has ever done was awesome. Also, hell naw, Daniel Bryan was legit medically uncleared, he has talked about so much, he wanted to wrestle, he would have if he could have.

I never thought WWE and AEW were working together, but I did think that once Tony took over booking AEW, Cody and HHH were in cahoots.

The problem I have with the idea of the Montreal Screwjob being a work or Vince Russo being an undercover agent for WWE is that in both cases, more than 20 years have passed since they happened, and WCW is gone. It's dead and buried in the library of the WWE. What earthly reason is there, more than two decades removed, to maintain the lies? What, to preserve the egos of some of the people involved? Since when does Vince McMahon care about anyone's ego but his own? They also happen to sort of contradict each other, if you really think about it. The idea of the Screwjob being a work was to help give Bret a boost as he went to WCW and give him some extra heat to build off of, but then Russo was supposedly sent to WCW just under two years later to intentionally ruin the product. Bret was still under contract with WCW, even though they'd long since squandered the opportunity they'd been given.

I have a theory that Vince McMahon from like 2015 onwards intentionally started booking bad so when he had to go Triple H had horrible creative he’d have to book his way out of (of course there was good stories though but I put it down to crowds and wrestlers forcing his hands i.e the beginning of the bloodline)

According to Bryan Danielson, he was forced to retire by WWE because he had lied about some of his injuries to keep wrestling, so WWE no longer trusted him until he basically forced their hand to get him to return.

Not a wrestling conspiracy per say - but i remember hearing that until he got injured and stripped of the title - it was meant to be Daniel Bryan who was gping to get squashed against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. Obviously John Cena ended up the champ and it was him who got dominated at the PPV instead. The only 'conspiracy theory' side of it is I heard that Vince wanted to do the angle against Bryan becauae he wanted to get back at the fans for the whole Yes movement and forcing the match change at Wrestlemania that year (which was never Vinces original plan).

I remember the Kain being two people rumor; look at him during the Attitude Era (tall and lanky, one shoulder lower than the other), then fast forward to Ruthless Aggression (noticeably bulkier, a few inches shorter,.both shoulders aligned)

okay idk if this one is a conspiracy theory but one of my favourite ones is the theory that the reason brock held the universal title for so long without defending it was to literally rewrite history and remove cm punk's reign. part of the reason i don't believe this is true is because wouldn't they just remove punk from wwe history if they wanted that to happen? plus, not many casual viewers care about how long a person holds a title.

In regards to the documentary crew conveniently being there for the Screwjob, the one part that even those that had an idea didn't get was how Vince deliberately drew attention to the double cross. Cornette, for instance, was dumbfounded at that, and then his attempts to baby face himself after. Now, what if Vince had actually envisioned the Mr. McMahon character before the Screwjob, not took advantage of how it played after? What if he saw the opportunity to make it work even better with the documentary crew there that would show him double talking before it went down? It's a bit out there, but at this point, I'm more willing to believe Vince had this idea for an on screen role that blurred the line taking advantage of what he felt he had to do with Bret, and put it in motion on his own on back of the original double cross. If it were a work in total, there's no way someone directly involved doesn't spill the beans.

Also people can say whatever, but I believe Bret indirectly told people it was a work. He was asked about it Aus a convention and his paraphrased answer was "I wish it was all a work. I wish we could've done that then came back 20 years later as an old man and had a match with Vince" etc and what happened? Hmm.

The Russo thing might be true, but not necessarily deliberate. Russo wasn't in on it, it was just Vince letting him go knowing what would happen if he did go there. Vince might have just thought "fine, go to WCW, you'll only make it worse."
