A few I have thought about in the past: What if Roman turned heel after beating the Undertaker? That Raw after Mania promo would have been an amazing way to do the turn What if Austin's neck never broke? Would he have gotten over as much without the need to become a guy who brawls all the time? What if Austin's career ended that night against Owen? What if Mr. Kennedy was correctly diagnosed and allowed to keep his briefcase? What if Bret was allowed to win in Montreal, and then lose to Shawn a week/month later before leaving? What if RAW never went to 3 hours?

Justin Gabriel would’ve been a massive star if nexus won. The way they protected and hyped up his 450 as match ender was perfect

What if Stephanie didn't hear Cena rapping on the bus? What if Punk didn't walk in 2014? What if Cody didn't leave in 2016? What if Roman hadn't caught COVID ahead of Day One?

You can absolutely build a dope team with: Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Ryback, Justin Gabriel, and Bray Wyatt.

What if the Elite chose WWE over Tony Khan in 2018 and never created AEW? How different would the business be today as a whole? Would all of the Elite still be there today and would Cody or Kenny be in the main event scene?

The more you think about it, the more the demise of WCW basically just cleared the way for an actual quality alternative to WWE in the form of the medium-small promotions like TNA and ROH. WWE got a few good talents out of it, most notably Booker T and later Ric Flair and Goldberg, but way better was that the indie scene was then able to actually grow without Eric Bischoff using Ted Turner's pocketbook to hoover up anyone with any talent. TNA was more or less exactly what WCW would have looked like after Bischoff's reboot except it wasn't (always) weighed down by guys like Nash and Hogan so guys like AJ actually had room to grow into main eventers.

If AJ joined back in the day he would have been remembered like Paul London's run was, and he would currently be in the title mix in AEW or have started his own company on the Indies.

The thing with Wade Barrett, I remember seeing his potential with his feud with Randy Orton. But I remember the exact moment he broke his arm and that killed all momentum he had.

It’s not about the Nexus all becoming main eventers, it’s about the team being strong and a threat overall having their legs cut out before they could get going just never let them be effective heels or an impactful team. You also can’t count Ryback as bouncing back from it, he was gone for 2 years after breaking his ankle. So he comes back with a completely different name and gimmick while his initial character wasn’t around long enough to actually be remembered he had a clean slate.

A few scenarios: 1) What if Brock Lesnar never left WWE in 2004? Eddie Guerrero during the summer of 2004 asked to lose the WWE Championship, I could see a rematch between Eddie & Brock where Brock gets the belt back. JBL never becomes a thing, Cena goes on to Wrestlemania 21 and beats Brock for his first WWE Championship, not JBL. 2) What if Heyman aligned with Roman and double crossed Brock at Wrestlemania 34 and they started the Tribal Chief storyline a couple years prior? 3) What if the Vince McMahon allegations came out around 2018/2019 and Triple H took over creative sooner? Would the Undisputed Era and several NXT talent who left for AEW still be with WWE now? 4) What if Shawn Michaels ended the Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania 26 and kept wrestling?

Absolutely the Nexus should have won. Even if none of them were going to be stars after it ended the faction was still the hottest thing on TV at the time, and the loss immediately killed all their credibility. At the very least the loss ended the most exciting storyline in years and at most it killed 7 careers. You mentioned no-one from the Nexus going on to any success, but I think a big part of that was the loss, bar Wade Barrett the one who had the most kayfabe success/push without a character change was Heath Slater.

What if RVD and Sabu didnt get arrested with loads of weed? What if Hogan & Bischoff never went to TNA? What if Vince retired at 65? What if John Cena never took up wrestling? What if CM Punk ate edibles?

What if Stephanie McMahon never heard John Clean rap on the tour bus during the European tour in 2002?

I think the most interesting what if pertaining to Sting and Goldberg going over for Invasion would be what if they went along with the initial plan of having a WCW brand now that they have two of Ted Turner's top stars in tow for launch?

What If Stings WWE run went the complete opposite and he had a run so good he potentially doesn't go to AEW?

What if, instead of Hogan slamming Andre at WrestleMania III, he hurts his back attempting to, and Andre pins him for the two percent botch?

Um, Husky Harris, the late Bray Wyatt, was part of the Nexus and he came back with a complete character overhaul and was amazing.

In regards to the Nexus: Barrett, Gabriel, and Ryback had pretty high ceilings before being crushed by Cena.

What if Cody never booked himself to never be able to challenge for the AEW Title?

What if The Rock's Hollywood career DIDN'T take off? Maybe he'd still have a few movies here and there, but then would he had stuck around during all of the Ruthless Aggression era, even into the PG era?

What if Andre had decided to win at Wrestlemania 3 and did win?

I think the big what if for Bret isn't so much the Attitude Era, where I think he honestly could have succeeded albeit without the same perennial world title winner status that he had up until that point. I think it's "what if he stayed healthy and was able to return in the Ruthless Aggression era." Even though I know you guys aren't the biggest Bret Hart fans, I sort of think that a Ruthless Aggression and on run for Bret, in the vein of Shawn Michaels, could have helped turn a lot of his detractors into fans. Later in to WCW he had begun to develop his entertainment skills much more, something that I think is true of a lot of guys who aren't so hot on the microphone earlier in their careers, and his style would've translated to a long career since he largely relied on storytelling and technical wrestling as opposed to crash and burn athleticism. Bret in the Ruthless Aggression era could easily have been a great fit for Heyman's Smackdown for a start, but on the whole there's just a long list of dream matches for him in that era. Off the top of my head: John Cena, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, and CM Punk stand out as names he never got to wrestle at all. Triple H and Eddie Guerrero stand out as interesting names just in terms of seeing their feuds and matches when those two were at their primes as characters. Born again, less obnoxious Shawn Michaels would also have made for a very interesting feud. I'd have also loved to see Hollywood Rock vs Bret Hart as an ultimate clash of styles and personalities. Hell, a veteran, heel Bret Hart trying to end the streak by any means necessary as part of the HBK/HHH vs Undertaker feud in some way could have been an interesting way to wrap up his career too, tying it into all those names he'd been associated with for better or for worse over his career.

What if Buff Bagwell and Booker T had a decent match and didn’t kill Nitro on Raw?

10:30 Because Edge as a heel and Christian as a heel are two totally different guys. Edge as a heel, is chicken sh*t, yes, but you can believe he can rip someone's head off if he wanted to. Christian as a heel was more comedy than anything else at that point.

What if aj, doc, karl and shinsuke all resigned with njpw in 2016. Multi year contracts id assume, would they have likely went to aew when those contracts expired?

Obviously she would have been Knockouts Women's Champion and Shayna Baszler would have most likely gotten a bigger push throughout her career, but if Ronda Rousey after Ronda Rousey drops the title, if she chose to return to Impact it like she did WWE in 2022, then what? Also in 2018-2019 Tessa Blanchard was on the rise, so most likely Ronda Rousey would have gotten that push but only if she stays between 2018-2022. What If Tessa Blanchard joined WWE in 2014 instead of the indies? She most likely would have been a bigger star and had multiple matches with the 4 Horsewomen but what would her career include? Would she be a grand slam champion? Would she have been called up during the Women's Revolution? Would her and Charlotte Flair be a tag team? How long would she be in WWE considering her controversial past? What If Cody Rhodes stayed in AEW? In his last promo before leaving for WWE he referenced doing the things CM Punk said he was going to do when he left WWE in 2011. If Cody Rhodes stayed and CM Punk still joined AEW, could he have stopped the brawl after the All Out media scrum? Could he have convinced The Elite & CM Punk to get along?

Also what if Ziggler actually won the 2018 Royal Rumble? Would he have beaten AJ at WrestleMania? Would he have finally become a main eventer? Would he be fired in 2023 like he was?

What if Butch Reed doesn’t no show and wins the IC Title from Steamboat instead of Honky Tonk Man? And set off the spiral of instead of Million Dollar man winning the World Title at WM4 instead of Macho Man.

I was arouns in Dallas back then and David was royalty.

I do agree that the only star in the Nexus other than Bryan Danielson who wasn’t apart of that stable for long and later on with Husky Harris Wade Barret was the only clear star of that group being their leader. He eventually developed the look especially when he became Bad News Barrett, he had the talent and especially when he added the Bull Hammer as a finisher so he didn’t just do the crappy Wasteland all the time. He could have been a huge star and won more than just the IC title, probably a few runs with the US, a run with the WHC and even maybe a WWE title run as well, he just had a lot of bad luck and unfortunately wasn’t booked that well outside of being a 5 time IC champ. If things went well and honestly if he was still wrestling today he could be golden
