I remember hearing this song performed by Luciano Parvarotti a long time ago, and Jarkko is ever bit as good in my opinion. Thank you for the suggestion.

The woman with the strongest reaction to Jarkko's performance was Lilli Paasikivi, the boss lady of the Finland's national opera.

...and this is from a guy that has never taken a song lesson in his life. This video made actually a little storm in many online magazines around Europe. I play his Christmas albums around the year, because he sings so beautifully the songs. There are lots of nice videos from this show to check out Kelly, like an old hit in Finnish from the 70's, Ajetaan Me Tandemilla, in english Let's drive a tandem bike...that is quite funny.

I love Jarkko Ahola, nice man, I met him while they were filming a promotion for a show here called Tähdet Tähdet. He forgave my bad Finnish. I adore his version of Finlandia!

If Jarkko was sick like Ecowarriorprincess X said in her comments and this was a sub-par performance according to him, I would like to hear what he considers a great performance. This sounded great to my untrained ears...and I love the metal scream he added at the end. He is a fantastic vocalist. I would like to hear more reactions to him. Cheers!

Looking back at the video, the only thing I noticed when he was performing and this is true I actually thought this in my head, was that his eyes seemed paler than I remember. Otherwise, he pulled it off like a pro.

A beautiful voice & a wonderful rendition. Maybe you could react to another rendition of Nessun Dorma by a very young 13 yr old Soprano by the name of Amira Willighagen. This young lady won Holland’s Got Talent at the age of nine without a single singing lesson & has since performed in many countries and usually to a packed auditorium supported by a full orchestra and backup singers. Amira has the most magnificent rich & powerful voice which has a beautiful resonance that lingers, & regardless of what register she is in, she does so EFFORTLESSLY & is never out of breath. I am sure you will agree with myself & the millions of her dedicated fans that this young & down to earth Soprano is nothing short of phenomenal, with the voice of an angel, & on behalf of her fans, hope that you see your way clear to do, not one, but many Amira reactions. She has various performances singing Nessun Dorma which are on uTube, & it’s the one with the full orchestra.

Jarkko has never taken singing lesson and never will. He prefers his original signature and has self trained his voice. The woman in vid about to pass out is the Artistic Director of Finnish Opera ;D She said that there are about 5 singers who can pull off Nessun Dorma in the world, and Jarkko is one of them. Jarkko was offered a role in an opera production but refused that- he does not do written notes either..

I love the fact that his voice is all his, natural...but in that performance, it sounded well trained..... pronunciation, intonation, etc. He has the right instincts. I heard Pavarotti sing this, and I feel Jarkko is ever bit as good.

@@KellyDeaconKDzJOY I heard Pavarotti too and thought he got out of breath during the last long note even compared to sick Jarkko here lol. Sure Jarkko's style may not be the perfectly classical but who cares when he sounds like that. And I bet Pavarotti cannot pull off the metal scream 😉

Kelly also please note that this is disastrous performance as per Jarkko's criteria - He had a really bad flu and lost his voice just before, doctor forbid him to sing this performance, Jarkko was gutted that he could not give 100% but had to settle for getting any voice out...

I thought in my head his eyes seems pale, but otherwise, I felt the performance was amazing. I have no idea how these performers/singers, keep the show going when they are ill. wow......

@@KellyDeaconKDzJOY It must be tough, Jarkko does tell he keeps really good care of his voice and does not usually have concerts more than once a week to keep the quality perfect. He has cancelled shows due to illness but this one and the 2017 sold out one off Hartwall Arena show he decided to try to push through while not 100.

@@ecowarriorprincessx That is a really important thing (to keep your voice in condition and not performance when sick), I was gutted when I saw a performance of one of my favorites Gloryhammer. When the singer was, literally, half dead... It's painful to see him forcing to sing, even though he barely gets a talking voice out! Things like that, can kill your voice! Hello Tarmo, ah...yes I should have gone with the orchestra one. Now that you say this, I do remember queuing it up, but I diverted over to the one with a closer view. I prefer 'live' performances as you know...and definitely when we get an orchestra behind it. Thanks again, I thought it was superb.

Sorry, but I have to disagree: The singer, has a nice voice, can become a good singer, but even if I'm willing to forgive the errors in the Italian (Sciglie quagliotte???) there's no comparison with actual opera singers, this is a powerful, very difficoult vocal masterpiece, this boy really needs some practice to master it. A lot of practice.

Maybe you should listen to him singing metal, he is a heavy metal singer...not opera singer.
