I think a lot of armys (including me) would love to see your reaction to "A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7". Its made by Taylor Mari and is a perfect introduction to BTS for newbies! Its 47 minutes long but ARMYS love watching longer reaction videos so it shouldn't be a problem. Also I would love to hear what kind of music you guys usually listen to, so we can give you recommendations for a specific genre since BTS is very versatile.
I have a small issue with that guide it only gave Jimin a very small amount of recognition when he's the reason why many become army in the 1st place. He's the only member of BTS who is a classically trained dancer and was top student he also learned popping and locking and is also a black belt in Taekwondo and is a Kendo master having studied it for 8 years. He has the voice of an angel and is rye kindest sweetest person. He deserves better than being squeezed in at the end of a very long video, that's disrespectful to him
71 year old BTS Army here. This diss track was aimed at the haters who have sent hate and death threats and those who have been trying to take them down since their debut in 2013 and still continue to this day. Thanks guys! 💜
This came out in 2017. In 2015/2016 there was countless waves of hate towards BTS (and Army) because BTS was growing in popularity and going against the norms in kpop. Those years was when Army became super protective of BTS... it was bad. There were petitions in Korea to disband BTS, and in the western world there was disdain for this group who sang in some language that wasn't English. This underdog group was making lots of people very uncomfortable, and Army was growing. Mic Drop was the answer.
No joke - that was a bad time. It was still hard in 2017-2019 but by then, ARMY was big enough to protect BTS more so while the haters kept yapping, BTS kept winning and breaking records.
Yes, 2017 was crazy. I became a fan in late 2016, and the enermous hate was mindblowing. It also taught me how to be more protective of Bangtan til now, it was freaking traumatizing for BTS and ARMY. And then they dropped this freakin song, dude.
Mic Drop is BTS' response to their haters with a little flexing on the side spitting facts...lol. wuth Suga's epic lines "tasteless ratatouille" & "sue it". I recommend you check their latest live performance of Mic Drop from their Yet To Come Busan concert last October where it was attended by 70k live audience and was livestreamed by over 50M worldwide causing the apps to crash from time to time. You will feel the same energy. 🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
Agree to this, the app crash Weverse and RU-vid..😅😅😅 We were watching it live with my family when suddenly it lagged because of the numbers of viewers..they didnt anticipated the number of live viewers would reach 50M 😊😊😊 BTS is the best and a world phenomenon.
@@bt_honey0864 I had to keep finding others streaming so I could see it. Amazing concert and was so happy I stayed up all night. It crashed in the first 10 min of the concert. Lol. #BTSLegends!
@@debbiezaler1784 yep, we felt the chills, excitement, happiness, nervous for the boys, emotional, overwhelmed, very proud..i dont know..mixed emotions! This always happens whenever BTS would perform live in an event while we ARMY are waiting and watching it Live with them. @TAHBofficial This is their last concert for the meantime since they will serve the military and This concert is FREE for the Army. Armies all over the world who got the ticket flew from different places to watch the concert in Korea. Morning before the concert, the Army got together and cleaned the trash they can find in the beach side of Busan where the concert was held. The whole of Busan including the police officers wear anything Purple, from their ID holders, corsage placed in their uniform and the whole of Busan lights were Purple weeks before the concert. Imagine how great that was! BTS and Army are truly the best. Borahae! We will wait for your reaction to A Guide to Bangtan 7 by Taylor Mari @ TAHBofficial. Thank you and much love! 💜💜💜
This was a clap back at all the people who told them they would never make it because they belonged to a smal company and also to the underground rappers who looked down on them for being idols. RM and Suga were underground rappers in their teens and were insulted by other underground rappers because they went to mainstream by signing with BigHit. But RM and Suga got the last laugh. They still rap whatever they want writing it and producing it themselves and making it really big.😎😏💜
When you notice that this music videos was released seven years ago. They had already reached this level at that time. Their music videos always have top-notch production value. For the next videos, I recommend "Fake Love" and "On (Kinetic Manifesto Film)! Thank you for your BTS reactions!! : )
If you watch XCelest's BTS Hardships video, you will understand a little what they've gone thru and what this song is about. They've gotton more than 300 songs in various genres of music and close to 1000 awards as of these days and you guys have a long way to find out who BTS really are.
Agree to this, a lot of haters grrrr 😢😢 Haters would just hate...howeve a lot of people esp Army love these Boys, and they always give love back to Army! ❤
Its for the haters, BTS has alot of hardships before they became big if you want to know i recommend watching BTS Hardships by Xceleste. You will have an idea how bad the haters are earlier on their career 😢. Also recommend watching Guide to BTS updated upto 2021 by taylor. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Yes, this was a flex aimed at their haters. BTS have won over 940 physical awards, so they're bags are full, and their hands can't carry them 😂😂😂😂 No one has reached their level. They are the best globally 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
Typical BTS. They never disappoint. Top-tier production quality, seamless transitions, totally entertaining performance. It's just a small part of why they've left Western artists in the dust. And despite the flexing & hard appearances here, they are very humble & hilarious human beings.
They are originally a hip hop group that’s why they’re discography is so heavily influenced by hip hop. They do everything from hip hop to r&b to edm and ballads to Latin pop. They are talented singers, rappers, and dancers and they can do many other things like martial arts and different instruments. I love them and I hope you get to see more from them!!
Many are mentioning A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7 which is good. I also suggest "The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS (2023 Update!)" it starts from why and how BTS was formed though their milestones via their discography catalog as part of that journey to the end of 2022. Very minor overlap with some additional detail. Both are companion for insight.
I’m a baby army so veteran army’s can correct me if I’m wrong. But my perspective is that BTS (especially the rap line) had all this anger in them in the early years. You can hear it in their music. They received so much hate for no reason and that takes a toll. As they got older and more mature, they have a better understanding of how things work and how to control their anger and emotions. The evolution in themselves and their music. This was essentially a diss track, and to me it feels like they’re saying good bye to haters because they’re not going to address them anymore. Which is also the reason why I think they’re retiring the cyphers because they don’t have a need to call out haters anymore. That’s my take on it. If you like hip hop, you should react to some of the songs by the rap line. That’s how I got into BTS
And it's also ok if the MV, dance practice and Live performance w/ lyrics are in the same video. We have no problem with long videos. Just don't forget the LYRICS so they can understand Thank you.
heyyyy, so the official music videos always have the correct closed captions. If it says auto-generated, its wrong! Some fanmade or other performance videos do have the english subs but if it only shows up as auto-generated, they're not real and automatically generated by youtube. Some of the videos already have it in the caption if its with subs or not.
Hey guys, thanks for a great reaction. If you’d like this one, I think you would like danger, not today, fire, bulletproof part two, and no more dream. The last two are from the very beginning of their careers. These are all bangers and I think you would really enjoy them. Thanks again!
1:50 The problem with english autogenerated subtitles is that it generates words based on the sounds so you can't use it on non-english videos because (surprise 🤭) they're *not english words.* 😉💜
Yes! We ran into that issue before, but only use the CC if it is just "English" and on the MVs from now on. Appreciate the insight, and thank you for watching! - A
It is a high production. You can also check the making of this MV. The first MV you had watched was during their early days. When their label was still on bankruptcy. And they weren't that popular yet.
Take into account the year this song came out, BTS was already on top of the world, this was a song to the haters yes as you said flexing and that’s just what they did… let’s not forget it may take yous awhile to delve deeper but just know all of BTS mv’s are all outstanding basically everything they do as a group, even their solo works are amazing💜
I am certain that someone might have already mentioned it but I will still say, plz first watch "A guide to BTS members: The Bangtan 7" by Taylor Mari. To fully grasp the feel and essence of BTS songs, you must first know about BTS and its members. Do not worry about it being long and armies would not watch, as armies are more than happy to have new audiences be introduced to the boys and will definitely watch your reaction!! Their songs are deeply embedded in their journey to success and the struggles and hardships they faced. You will also discover what truly sets BTS apart from other boybands. Their songs have very deep meanings and many of their songs are also related to the fictional storyline running through their MVs, also called the Bangtan Universe. I am looking forward to your introduction to the members and I truly hope you can go into their journey completely unbiased and unprejudiced!! Thanks a lot
Mic drop is a song about all the hate BTS got from their debut, not only from other fandoms but also the south korean music industry that are heavyly controlled by the big3 companys (still are today) SM, YG, JYP who basicly control all the media and gets lots of promotions for their artists on radio and tv. (Something that are a huge part of kpop) BTS could’t get that from the begining, even tho they had potential and was doing better than other non big3 groups, they where basicly blocked out. Mic drops released when BTS had establish themself with a big fandom, and had no need for the korean music industry, its basicly a fuck you for excluding us, see where we are know… to this day the news channels in sk still barely report about BTS archivements like grammy noms, daesang sweeps, but will make full blown prime time reports about big3 artists doing some brand deal🙄🙄🙄. Like armys say, BTS only have ARMY’s 💜💜
Some advices; when finding live performances dont do american shows, bc they have horible camera works, do from their concers or south korean award shows.. I would mix up music mvs with live performances and behind the scenes from bangtan bomb channel. Also do some “funny clips” to learn more about the members, interviews are often awkward bc BTS cant fully be themself, where their own tv show Run BTS and concerts/award shows they are far more relaxed…. Channels like sugarmy, kookiestae etc are doing epic funny clips…
If yall are interested, almost all of the BTS music videos have a shooting behind the scene video to go with it. The members will talk about how they feel about stuff. And its the fastest way to be able to identify each of the members
this song for the haters and people who have looked down on them before... they came from a small company, from a group who is said to be flop to a group that is the biggest in the world
Welcome down to the BTS rabbit hole! :D You'll find that ARMY usually is very helpful to those who are beginning their journey into these boys' music. :) (all fandoms have a toxic handful but we're mostly really just passionate and protective of these wonderful men hehe) For sure, a lot more people would be storming to view your reactions and they would help out in recommending more songs for you to immerse yourself into, but here are some that I would recommend for their solo songs: (this would be a good route to learn them individually :D) RM/Namjoon/Joon - Wildflower (from his solo album released Dec. 2022); Joke (solid rap song from earlier on) Jin - Epiphany; Awake Suga/Yoongi/AgustD - Daechwita; Haegeum (from his newly released album this 2023) J-hope/Hobi/Hoseok - Arson (from his solo album released July 2022); Chicken Noodle Soup (featuring Becky G.); On the Street (featuring J. Cole) Jimin - Set Me Free Pt.2 (from his recently released album earlier this year); Filter (the one where he's wearing the maroon suit in the thumbnail); Serendipity (where he's wearing a half-white, half-black button-down shirt in the thumbnail); OHHH! btw, he released a song with his forever idol Taeyang, called Vibe, and it was out last January. I recommend you watch the official music video first before diving into the live version. It will be sooooo worth it! V/Taehyung - Singularity (look for the one that has "Stage Mix" in the title so you'll get different looks and intros hehe); Stigma JK/Jungkook - Euphoria (choose the one with "ENG SUB" since other videos don't have closed captions); My Time Rap line (RM, Suga, J-hope) - Cypher Medley (there are 4 of them so far but this shows them in snippets) Vocal Line (Jin, Jimin, V, JK) - Truth Untold; House of Cards EXTRA: Please find time to look into J-hope's Lollapalooza performances in Chicago where he headlined. It's certainly a ride and those who's never heard of BTS before became a fan when they watched J-hope perform live! :D They also had their most recent concert last October 2022 in Busan, South Korea and their official channel BangtanTV has videos of their songs there. As far as the entire group is concerned, don't miss out on the songs "Fix You" (their cover for the Coldplay song - they eventually collaborated with Coldplay on the song "My Universe" which also a must-see!); "Your Eyes Tell" and "Film Out" (Japanese songs but incredible stage presence, vocals and rap from the members!) As you've watched and as some viewers might have already shared, there's not just one genre BTS has done music for and each time, they push the boundaries of "K-pop" music per se. :D It's like they have created their own genre of incorporating a couple or more styles into some of their songs and they have definitely tried their hand at anything they could try! As Suga once said, the scary part about BTS is that there is no limit to what they can do. ARMY definitely has seen that in action! :) Once you've gotten a good feel of their songs, it would be worth looking into 'documentaries' or ''Introduction to BTS"' videos (I recommend xCeleste's and Taylor's versions - as a lot of the folks here have already mentioned :D). It would be a nice way to start your journey to watch their videos first since you'll have gained the appreciation of their music before appreciating the artists more by knowing how grounded, down-to-earth, and hardworking these boys are. :) They're definitely multi-talented and they create their own music (along with other artists and producers) - something that we genuinely admire about them! :) They are sincere about their love for music, choosing their lyrics, and most especially for their love for ARMY. btw, looking forward to more of your reaction videos! I'm OT7 (love all seven of them!) but has a special place in my heart for Jimin, so I hope you're enjoying their work so far! Thank you for giving our boys a chance to get on your reaction videos. :D
This song was dedicated to their haters Cause they have been through so many hates cause they came from from a really small company which was known by no one and now their company turned into a label called hybe . Which is so big
This song was a diss track specially made to reply to BTS' haters. BTS has experienced so many hate and unfair cases, heavily so in 2016 when they were gaining a steady foothold in the music award shows. Mic Drop was released on 2017 as the 'last farewell' of BTS to their haters, this song is a side track for their trilogy 'Love Yourself: Her' album.
BTS - Dynamite (Official Video) and Butter Live on Jimmy Fallon (because they perform on the new bridge in Downtown La at night. Carpool Karaoke with James Corden is hilarious.
Nobody writes diss tracks better than BTS, they can simply be satirical , being chill yet calling out haters . You should check out cypher series by rap line - RM, Suga and J-hope. While other diss tracks in albums such as ddaeng, ugh, spine breaker, and explanation videos for the same by DKDKDTV. They are genius songwriters .
Guys…you have NO idea what you’ve gotten yourselves into💜 You have over 10 years of content to react to; and, you still might not know everything about BTS as a group, let alone all of their solo works. Have fun💜
The thing about BTS( similar to Angelina Jordan) there are so many brilliant different versions of BTS, different genre, beats, sounds ....you can never ever get bored.
hello! really this song is a response to haters, who have suffered a lot since the beginning of their career, It would be interesting for you to watch the video, A Guide to BTS Members: The Bangtan 7, which focuses on each one individually and will give you an idea of exactly who are, and the time of work and talent of these guys, which on June 13th marked the 10th anniversary of their debut, the group is made up of 3 rappers and 4 vocal line and yes they have many dancing performances, it's worth taking a closer look at bottom
Please do more music, maybe their debut song in 2013, I feel chronological order would be great, their album process is literally life transitional phases( adolescence, youth, young adult and adulthood ). They started out as teens to early 20s, so its their perspectives, thoughts, inspirations, etc.. as they grow through life and each era/trilogy/album have a specific storyline or is a transition from like adolescence to youth and they tend to incorporate books, but they also incorporate/reference other elements to get their message across, but you will also see their developement as artist, its alot since its a span of 10 years, June 13, 2013 was when they debuted, but have trained and lived together for many years, theyve said many times, they are brothers and was already releasing music on soundcloud and youtube(promotions for debut) before they became this Bts now and every year we celebrate and they gift us content, mini concerts, lives, etc... this year was like a huge festival. Just keep in mind that in kpop, boygroups where make up at times to give a certain aesthetic to go with the concepts/themes, sometimes their outfits and make up look like 1800s vampires, sometimes they look very flamboyant, swag, pop boyband style theyve also worn kilts, lmao. Great reaction and thanks for being open to new music, the more you see their lyrics(the deeper ones), youll start to have an understanding why Bts is different in many aspects and theyve always said their lyrics are open for your own interpretation as well, you can always disagree on their own perspective on certain lyrics/topics, thats what they want, for us to know them through their lyrics while interpreting them in your own way.
Loving your reactions! Guide is next yay yay yay! :) Love the way you guys are far apart but you react well together. I don't usually watch reactors with more than one because of the chaotic energy but you guys do it well! Great vibe! Glad you are reacting to BTS!
I have to add if you see their guide you will know why they seem to brag. They were treated so bad and were so poor with a company close to bankruptcy and were made fun of and told they would NEVER be anything…they overcame and are Legends now! Have to see the guide to understand! In reality they are the most down to earth humble guys and deserve everything! 💜🫰🏻 ps they are clapping back at all the haters!!!
Love your videos you guys! Thank you for giving them a chance! You should definitely check out the Mic Drop dance practice, it’s soooo good! Also, I’d love to see your reactions to Fake Love, Black Swan and Dionysus !! 🥰
During covid BTS did a Tiny Desk Concert with a small brilliant band. It was great to listen to them answer all the haters who criticised them with these songs. Especially the underground RAP scene who felt RM and Suga had sold out.
I hope you guys can react to behind the scenes to how they film their music videos!! It shows their funny personalities and funny/ cool behind the scenes other artist don’t show. They’re super special and it’s amazing how much they record and show for Army. Thanks for reacting!!
They are acknowledging their haters in the music world... they went through alot of criticism which is prob more to do with their race.... that was dedicated to haters.... the reality is none of their haters has achieved what they have. Period.
its better if you start their live performance of mic drop there is a lot of live performance in mic drop.there in mama award in mma award but i like the live in snl.because you can see how they will perform in small space and yhey are really good.
This is just my 2nd time watching you guys so I don’t know how well you know BTS’ story BUT MAN, OH, MAN, DO THEY DESERVE TO BRAG! Research if you don’t know. This is one of my FAVs. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
new army subscriber here 💜 thank you so much for reacting to my best boys, i’m always so glad when people really appreciate their talent and their hard work. i’m now gonna watch your guide to the members video (and hoping to see you getting into the rabbit hole hehe) but in the meantime i’ll leave you some songs i would love you guys to react to: - fake love - dna - idol - black swan - on (kinetic manifesto) - the truth untold (vocal line) - tear (rap line) - save me - life goes on - we on - no more dreams once again, thank you for all your videos 🤍
This isn’t a brag heavy song…it’s more of a diss track (fcuk you!) to all the haters - underground rappers…one in particular, who tried to sabotage the rapping members any chance he could. He did try to apologize at one point because he got so much backlash from Army; but Army wasn’t having it and BTS wouldn’t acknowledge his apology because it was insincere. Long story short, that particular rapper’s career was eventually destroyed - partially because Army never let the public forget his shady behaviour towards the group and also because he got himself into trouble - mouthing off and actually assaulting someone - he spent some time in jail over the assault.
