gotta give the camera operator big props for this one. dude was running around on that uneven ground doing his own choreography to keep the right people in/out of the shot without crashing into anyone, and all while carrying a big heavy steadicam

This is one of my favorites. The choreography is special to me because, it was cold , rainy, sleet- ing ,and windy, the ground was wet sand and they were dancing effortlessly in boots. There is a making of video ,it will awnser some of your questions. Good reaction. I think you will continue to be amazed by BTS. I am enjoying the journey.💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Since this is 1 of your favorites and you like the melody, you should also check out "im fine". These 2 songs go together, theyre an ambigram. The beginning melody of im fine is the same as save me. Then it switches but its kinda the reverse of save me. The lyrics are also interesting in that im fine is sort of save me backwards as well, im fine is also an answer to save me. Im not explaining this well but you can always google it to get a better explanation, and/or other ARMYs reading this can probably explain it better. But youll love im fine too. Theres a live where they sing parts of each and sort of combine the 2 songs and choreo. 💜 6:17 eta: it was freezing & windy that day. Its fun to watch the behind the scenes of this one, that cameraman had his on choreo in a way to get the shot, the boys who were off scene were ducking and moving with the cameraman, running into the shot when their turn was up. Its fun

The music mv filming was very difficult, including rain and strong winds. The weather is cold. You have to go look behind the song save me. You have to look it up, Bangtan is really talented. You can pass here. I love this song very much.🫶🏻💜

These guys practice so much that I bet it wasn't more than 4 or 5. When they did ON in Central Station in NYC on the tonight show it was in 4 takes and it is a very complicated dance routine. They put in 😊the work. Even for suga's solo tour where he had 28 shows he practiced the entire concert something like 25 times from start to finish before the tour to ensure the show would be seamless. They are so professional.

It was actually really cold outside when they shot this MV! Save me is such a good song. I recommend Fake Love or Blood, Sweat & Tears!

Watch behind the scenes, you will appreciate it more. It was raining. And trying to do it it in shot and if they mess up some where or they dont like it they do it all over again. This is some dedication

Oh, PLEASE react to the MV Shooting Sketch. You’d be amazed at how fast they got it done considering all the factors you mentioned: outdoor location, weather (cold & rainy), uneven terrain, etc.

Last year I was having a tough time, and I got the “save me - I’m fine” ambigram tattooed on my hand in a way that I would read “Save me” and,when giving someone a thumbs up, they would read “I’m fine”. I did it to remind myself to ask for help whenever I needed it. Yes, this is probably one of my favorite BTS’ songs and they tough me a lot about loving myself 😊 PS: I’ve been watching your videos all day, and they really made a difference, so thank you!

You HAVE to watch the 'behind the scenes shooting sketch'. Let's just say ponchos were involved! There are behind the scenes (sometimes more than one) for all their videos. And don't forget the dance practices! I suggest that you guys watch the behind the scenes or how they shoot this in a cold and wet weather. To really enjoy BTS just keep an open mind. Their songs have deep messages and almost all are inter connected. A warning also that once you get into the rabbit hole there is no turning back. Have a happy ride.

With bts each take is inspected by all members, at the same time if they are not happy they will repeat it tiill is perfect that is my bts

Threre's even a BTS inside joke with Jimin's moves 😅 "Boy meets... evil" is another incredible song choreo video performed by Jhope 😊

Also, you guys are about to enter the Wings era, and I CANT WAIT. They did a short film for each solo song on the album (about the length of a normal MV), plus the standard MVs for the singles, and i really hope you check them out because they are so well done. I'm telling you right now, you won't understand them because they're super abstract and artsy and part of a storyline you haven’t really delved into yet, but i think you'll still be able to appreciate their quality and the snippets of music in them. I think the channel Bagtanie Subs has English subtitles for all the films.

The camera guy is the true star of this. They did this on a freezing day in the rain. They were freezing and on sand. It’s a fun behind the scenes.

The thing at the end is a teaser for the next MV "Boy Meets Evil" which a solo by J-Hope and sets the tone for their Wings Album. The next MV after that is Blood, Sweat, & Tears it's heavily inspired by the book "Demian" by Hermann Hesse, RM even recites a quote from the book. Demain tells the story of a young boy named Emil Sinclair and his childhood growing up. Emil struggles to find his new self-knowledge in the immoral world and is caught between good and evil, which is represented as the light and dark realms. "Demian is replete with both Jungian archetypes and Jungian symbolism. In addition, psychoanalysis helped Hesse identify psychological problems which he had experienced in his youth, including internal tension caused by a conflict between his own carnal instincts and the strict moralism of his parents. Such themes appear throughout Demian as semi-autobiographical reflections upon Hesse's own exploration of Jungian philosophy" (Wikipedia). BTS has a later album "Map of the Soul:7" that dives into the concepts by the psychiatrist Carl Jung. Also, You guys skipped "Epilogue: Young Forever" MV released May 2, 2016. It's a song that has a lot of meaning to the members and the one Army sung to them at Wembley Stadium.

It wasn't just sandy and cold but also muddy and raining. You guys would LOVE the behind the scenes video: "[ENG] 160916 [EPISODE] BTS 'Save Me' MV Shooting Sketch" by the channel Bantan Subs. Everyone involved really put in work, especially the camera man weaving in and out of their choreography. As a side note, this song has a sequel called I'm Fine that came out 2 years after Save Me, and I'm worried y'all will miss because it doesn't have a music video. The live performances are really cool though because they do I'm Fine immediately after Save Me, and the transition is lovely. The channel T D has a video of one of those live performances (MGA 2018) with English lyrics in the subtitles. They also managed to somehow make the words "Save Me" turn into "I'm Fine" when you turn them upside down, which is a mindf****.

Don't know if you watched the behind the scene video but on that video they say the only time the redid the video was because Suga messed up once. They practiced in house then they went out in the sleet and rainy cold day. Stood in the wet sand and did it a few times for blocking. Then shot once Suga messed up and they shot again.

Fun fact? They were running behind the camera man when they were not supposed to be in the shot and when one member goes the wrong way in their choreography, they have to shoot it again. 😂 It was raining. The wear rain coats and took it off when they have to be in the shot.

1 shot means no cuts/edits. So they did the scene over and over until they got perfect footage that would not require edits. From what we can tell, 8 to 10 times. 1 take means they do it once and post it, mistakes and all.

This is the song that made me go, oh bts are the real deal, and made me a real fan. As much as I love it... it's not even in my top 20. BTS have some incredible songs, but you'd have to go beyond the MVs

Not to give you more work but they do have a behind the scenes video. I don't know how long exactly they worked on this. Probably days in actual studio, but the day they did the shoot, it was really cold out there. It's pretty cool to see how they're freezing and then jumping in for the shots. It rained. Yeah.

They only shot once because the weather was really bad. Remember they practice the dance in the studio before they ever shoot the video.

They were freezing their @$$3$ off in this filming. The Saving Me Shooting - BTS EPISODE [[ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y_mEk99kDjI.html ]] shows how bad the weather (cold/rainy) was. They did a number of full one takes (can't remember exactly) due to the weather and because of their need for perfection. The end result is amazing.
