I remember reading that Chris had an affair with the nanny while his wife Diane was recovering from the horse riding accident. He decided not to gamble his marriage and patched things up with Diane. After a while they spent evening in nightclub where he saw Diane across the room without immediately recognizing her but thinking she was most beautiful woman he had ever saw. That made Chris remembering the time he saw Diane the first time and then writing this song about it.

Back when I was finishing my years in high school. I unfortunately had a traumatic brain injury or TBI for short. I literally had to go through hell and back so I could graduate on time. When I was in the hall way of the school. It was filled with students getting their stuff for their next class. I saw this girl who was in front of me with her back turned. This girl just so happened to be my first and so far my only TRUE LOVE. I had the strong vibe it was her. I called her name and I was right. She dropped her stuff and ran into my arms. I remember what outfit she was wearing down to her feet. White socks and shoes. Her shorts and shirt were RED. So I guess you could say when I hear this song I think about her and only her. Her happiness means everything to me...
