Wong "Eons ago, the first demon, Chthon, carved his dark magic into this tomb." The Normies: "So who did this shit? That's what I want to know." Everyone: Slams head against wall.
@@jerusalemedwards7472 I assume Suraj was talking about Black Bolt cause he kept saying he didn't remember his name. Just goes to show how little they know about his character. He probably just heard the Inhumans show sucked and is projecting that onto the character.
Sarah in the comics is Wong's love interest. Which is why she shows affection toward him....and that explains why its zooms in on the singular tear when she sacrifices herself.
Like Darwin in 'X-Men: First Class', she deserved better. Heck, even when seeing 1 of Najma's only black female friend recently in 'Ms. Marvel, it all made me feel that dark-skinned black women are getting the short-end of the stick in the overall Marvel Extended Cinematic Universe.
@@COSun25 wait for Black Panther 2. That films gonna have Shuri and Nakia in lead roles and Okoye too of course and also it’s gonna have Riri Williams (Iron Heart) in the movie. Lots of Black Females in that film bud.
@@COSun25 I don't see your point... all of Najma's Clandestines died. The other sorcerors died en masse including some sorcerors we've known longer from the previous movies like the master Hamir. Are you suggesting all black women are, or by extension of your reasoning should be, immortal? There is no shorter end of the stick here when everyone is dealt an equally bad hand.
Haha Chris’s “Why are there still people on the streets?!” And Pat’s “Well if you see this happening you’re going to want to see it,”. It’s funny because there was a comic panel, I believe with Peter Parker Spider-Man where he rescued a dude who was just recording the action on his phone and Peter said “I remember when people use to run away from the danger,”.
honestly seems accurate considering what those people have gone through even prior to half them getting dusted. at some point the chaos just becomes a way of life.
At least even the “Normies” can pick up on the fact that characters throughout the whole film specifically go out of their way to state the Darkhold corrupts anyone who reads it including Strange’s first dialogue about it and Strange himself by the end of the film. If the Normies themselves can easily pick up on these things and know Wanda’s mind is corrupted, is it either the angry fanboys don’t want to acknowledge this point to validate their hatred for “Wanda’s always been evil” stance or are they all to stupid to understand basic dialogue🤔
If you pay close attention, Suraj started talking the split second before it happened and wasnt looking. Chris reacted to Suraj by closing his eyes for a second and missing it too. Pat and Marketa just didnt have a reaction to it.
16:22 Wanda was definitely stronger than Thanos during Endgame. Thanos was Scared of two people in that whole fight and that was Wanda and Captain Marvel. You have to remember that Thanos had to open fire on the battlefield just so he can get away from Wanda’s grip. Wanda is definitely top 3 strongest Avenger.
@@tiddymobgoon6739 that was literally a lucky punch he got off of her by using the power stone. He literally showed off a scared look when his punch’s didn’t do shit to her
Thanos was never scared of Captain Marvel, just shocked when she withstand his headbut. Once he found out she withstood it due to her absorbing from the stone, Thanos just blast her out. He is only afraid of Wanda in that movie. Kevin Feigi has stated as of endgame Wanda is the strongest.

Every time the movie mentions Kamartaj, Suraj asks why they haven't had their memories of it wiped. Kamartaj is the sanctuary where doctor strange trained with the ancient one, which Wanda attacked here. In no way home, he mentions having erased wong's memory of the full moon party at Kamartaj, not the existence of the whole place. This is like if you get so drunk you don't remember the new year's eve party in New York, and then every time you mention the city after that your friend says "I thought you couldn't remember New York"
53:29 "I've had the dreams too." I believe you are right. If dreams are snippets into the multiverse then 838 Wanda experiences the horrible nightmares of Scarlet Witch from 616 and then wakes up and remembers they are only dreams and that she has a great life.
I think it's important to distinguish the _TIMELINES_ that strange looked at in Infinity War with the _UNIVERSES_ here. Strange was looking at all the possibilities for the future of that universe from that point onward, but different choices will never result in a paint dimension for example
Right like there universe didn't have black bolt Reed Richards captain Peggy professor x. Ect if any thing it shows that universes illuminati was stronger then the avengers witch also speaks for scarlet witch's power
W. I thought Suraj was onto smt for a min before I realized Strange only looked for answers on how himself, spiderman, iron man & the Guardians could defeat Thanos. Even if he somehow came across this universe he would say “who the fuck are those ppl” lol
they did mentioned this during endgame, loki or spiderman nwh, it s just so annoying to keep hearing that "so there s other way to defeat thanos" like they dont even watch the previous movies with brain
“I would never hurt anyone” is such an interesting line because you can see on her face she realizes all she has done and he gravity of that as she’s talking to her kids
Wanda was corrupted by the darkhold. After the events of Westview she's been reading it for several months so the darkhold has severely corrupted her. Also, there was no "previous" scarlet witch, our Wanda is the only one that's ever been. The reason why there was a scarlet witch throne is because there was a prophecy in the darkhold that someone, at some time, would become the Scarlet Witch. The throne was made for a future one. So now that Wanda became the scarlet witch (as prophesized), that throne belongs to her. Oh, and to my knowledge, the other wanda variants aren't scarlet witches - they have access to magic but none of them have reached the climax of becoming The Scarlet Witch (like wanda did in wandavision) so there's only one "Scarlet Witch" but there's multiple other Wanda Maximoffs who aren't The Scarlet Witch.
@@SethRGray pretty sure, he glanced through some of the pages trying to find the possession spell. I guess after the events of MoM, he must've tried some of the dark magic and spells he memorized before destroying and dark hold and probably went abit too far and eventually caused an incursion. Maybe that's why Clea went looking for him in his universe. I mean she said he is responsible for the incursion and by the looks of it they were headed to the dark dimension. So maybe strange must've trying new spells to prevent dormammu from returning now that he doesn't have his time stone, preparing using the darkhold spells and eventually caused the incursion. Can't wait for Dr strange 3💥
I loved how when Charles Xavier came in a snippet of the 90's animated series theme played in the background. Also Strange didn't say there was only one universe where they defeated Thanos; he wasn't checking universes, he was checking timelines. It's like what's the outcome if we do this...no? Then what's the outcome if we do that, etc. There was only one timeline where they won.
SOOO at 52:32, According to Elizabeth Olsen, when she yells STOP IT, that was a real reaction! She legit yelled at those kids to stop throwing the toys! hahahaha
My favorite part of the movie is when Strange trapped Wanda in the mirror dimension. Strange thought he can contain Wanda but she quickly understand the situation. Just like mirror, water also reflects and that's the reason why she escaped the mirror dimension. Ancient One said no one can get away in the mirror dimension without the sling ring but Wanda just escaped.
31:57 The Normies questioning and theorizing what they don't understand while the very scene they're talking over is answering those questions. Yup. Classic Normies. 1:04:49 These guys don't even get the Inhumans reference and still put the disrespect on Black Bolt. My dude got improved and done dirty in this movie.
That is Clea. The neice of Dormamau and the sorcerer Supreme in the dark dimension. I believe they even got married in the comics. Since they bringing up incursions, this might be setting up Avengers 5 Secret Wars.
Chris saying “I can see why some people wouldn’t like this… I LOOOVE THIS” at 50:12 is exactly how I feel! It’s everything I could’ve personally wanted out of a SAM RAIMI Doctor Strange movie, cheese included!
I loved the Evil Dead, Drag to Hell, Aliens, Spider-Man 2, Army of Darkness, Carrie, Twilight Zone, The Shining, The Ring, Day of The Dead, Oz The Great, and Powerful, and the 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 references in this movie. The Magical Duel was badass. We also saw The Living Tribunal. I also loved the music in this movie.
11:03 Yeah the PARTY was wiped from his memory not the existence of Kamar-Taj itself just the memory of the full moon party that they kept there. 16:08 She would have beaten Thanos on her own if Thanos hadn't called for his Airship to "rain fire". Even Monica said it in WandaVision that Wanda could have defeated Thanos on her own. Wanda is OP man. I love it 😻 24:00 No guys. There was no other choice in the 616 universe. Timelines and universes are different. Timelines exist WITHIN universes. So in the main marvel universe the BLIP was the only way. But in the 838 universe there would have been different timelines so a different outcome would be possible there. 30:54 Lol y'all were talking when Wong was explaining. Chthon the first demon carved the spells in Wundagore which were later transcribed into the Darkhold.
Mark 1:05:18. "It's over!", isn't just a meta joke about the movie ending after the promise of, "DOCTOR STRANGE WILL RETURN", it also lets us know that three weeks elapsed within the timeframe of the movie, plus the time before that spellcast.
@Azrael’s Shadow actually they did pick that up. they just didnt want to mentioned it so they can use that in the next marvel film where Dr Strange gonna powered up with all the knowledge from the Darkhold.
Marketa, the only argument I have against your "Wanda and Strange should be equally affected by the dark hold" opinion is Wanda had that book for months, if not years, and read it over and over trying to find her kids.
In comics Wanda got her powers (eventually becomes Scarlett Witch) when she was an infant born at "Mount Wundagore" (Transia, eastern Europe) and was touched by Demon Chthon (former Elder God about 1 Billion years ago and wrote the "Darkhold" at Mount Wundagore) to mark her as his pottential next vessel for the future.
Speaking on Doctor Strange‘s time travel trips trying to figure out the best way to beat Thanos. I took it as he wasn’t traveling to different universes he was just assessing the different timelines that will come about from the decisions made in preparation for the final battle.
Lol Serge I love your multiple Zelda references during this. My favorite part of this movie was what he did with the Zombie Strange and how he turned the damned into his cloak. That was so Sam Raimi and I was HERE for it!
To be fair, it isn't a bad thing that he noticed the change in her outfit. There's a lot of people I know that thought they changed it to make it more villainous, not realizing the small details within her outfit indicate a corrupted and heartbroken Wanda.
The Darkhold corrupts and the corruption is so strong it even effects it’s surroundings. She may have had the best of intentions in the beginning but Wanda became incredibly selfish and power hungry without realizing. It’s unfair to put ALL the responsibility on Strange when it came to handling the Thanos situation. Strange’s decision against Thanos affected trillions while Wanda’s decisions are meant to benefit only her. Had she not gone down a dark path she could’ve simply asked America to find a reality where her boys existed but she didn’t. But the Darkhold’s corruption was out of her hands and by the time she discovered America, she was already too far gone. Also, just an FYI… Wanda has always been OP af. She is a Nexus being after all. And infused with the power of the Darkhold and on a psychotic break she’s even more of a threat. The result of it is basically House of M. Also, there is no other Scarlet Witch. The prophecy told of one, Wanda. The one who wrote the Darkhold was Chthon. Also, the Darkhold corrupts the more you use it. Strange wasn’t corrupted by the Darkhold but the third-eye was an inevitable side-effect from using it. And Charlize plays Clea… who is amazing and is the niece of Dormammu.
One thing I’m still questioning in Multiverse of Madness is how none of the other Wandas had Vision be there since he’s her husband & technically father of her children. Marvel really couldn’t get Paul Bettany for a few minutes of screentime?
I mean it’s the same with how do we not see a avenger in every movie like the beginning scene where strange is fighting that octopus creator was filmed in NY like where’s Spider-Man?😂
we only saw one other version of wanda and in that universe her kids are technically actually real (made of flesh and blood) vision is made of vibranium, so those children most likely have a different father
"I didn't know Wanda was that powerful" Well, the truth is she is extremely underpowered in the movies. In the comics she's considered the strongest or at least one of the strongest characters and she also deleted all of reality along with every Marvel character if I remember correctly. This movie was a good little hint at what she's capable of but she can do so much more. "How did she not beat Thanos?" I think they just tried to give her the usual "I don't know how to control my powers yet" excuse in the movies, since she was still being experimented on in Avengers Age of Ultron
No guys, in our Strange's timeline (616) that was the only way to win. In the new universe's timeline Strange defeated Thanos. Strange in Infinity War looked at all possibilities in HIS universe
Suraj was so dumb when he said that. There's supposed to be an infinite number of multiverses. Strange only say 14 million possibilities. don't know where he got the idea that different possibilities equals different universes
@@arafat9828 Just remember, it's in their name, "The Normies" they're just watching it as they go along without concerning themselves with what has happened prior. They're just enjoying it. There's no problem with that. I just correct whatever I think needs correcting.
The actor playing Black Bolt in this movie is the same actor who played him in the Inhumans tv series from a few years ago. He and Xavier actor Patrick Stewart are both also captains in Star Trek, in fact, both actors had their own Star Trek shows airing at the same time on the same week that this movie was released.
About who wrote the spells on the wall. When they entered Wong said that the first demon Cthon inscribed the spells on the walls and later it was copied into the Darkhold. There is no such thing as a former or previous Scarlet Witch. There is only one, Wanda Maximoff.
@@calvinallen3424 Agreed. With the off the wall things that Pat says, it's really telling that Suraj's constant stream of dumb questions/comments is what drags their reactions down for me.
57:50 - 58:36 Charlize is actually playing Clea. In the comics, she's Dormammu's niece, and she becomes a sorceress under the teachings of Strange. Afterwords, she becomes Strange's lover, and then eventually, his successor as Sorcerer Supreme. So here, they're introducing Clea bringing Strange back to the Dark Dimension to fix the incursion.
There is basically a villain version of every superhero i believe. Because every choice matters. Any of the heroes we know could have been villains if they had been confronted to different situation 🤔
This movie was great. Loved how it was directed in a scary movie type dog way. People don’t realize at the end of the day she is a witch. Makes sense for her to be scary especially as the villain of the movie.
When the movie was testing with audiences it was leaked that test audience said it was way more violent and dark than the movie version....but the test audience felt that it made Wanda into very dislikable character so they toned down the violence and lightened up the more horror stuff....but i wish they had kept it more violent and scary...i liked this movie but it needed to be more hardcore..
Well considering that the individuals who disliked Wanda’s character to begin with (for the same hypocritical reason they like others) still hate her after the film it really didn’t help either way. Not to mention I’m sure Feige didn’t anticipate how popular Wanda’s character would’ve grown after WandaVision which let’s be real was a shock to most of the fandom, bad decisions on Marvels part completely vilifying their one and only none “woke agenda pushing” character.
People hate her for the same reason they like others , So hypocritical.. It doesn't matter because those who love her will love her no matter what she did just like every popular villain ,
I was in my head thinking, “of course Wanda is stronger she got her powers from an infinity stone.” And then it dawned on me, captain marvel got her powers from an infinity stone too lmao
I like how they've put the doubt in many of us that Strange could be lying when he said there was only 1 way of saving the universe. Also, he only looked through 14M alternate timelines (because he was interrupted), out of an infinity of them.
I honestly dont like that fact because it seemed pretty clear to me that that wasnt the intended thing to take away from all this. In Infinity War the "Sacred Timeline" was still intact = only one outcome allowed = no multiverse if i understood it correctly. Now it isnt anymore. Strange wasnt lying, he was working within the boundaries he was at the time and with the best knowledge he had.
This movie was like any other marvel normal movie like keys say Ragnarok or Far from home or Dr Strange 1 It's a movie amongst others like thor love and thunder that will lead to a major film like infinity wars or endgame Y'all expectations were too high When the time comes they will deliver
Mark 12:48. Hahaha! According to the CC, you said that she's reading the adults-only book known as, "The Dark Hole"! 🤣😂. ("The Black Hole", is a used title for a, "Disney", movie.)
For those who dont know, black bolt died cause when he was in panic he tried to scream but he mouth was closed well...no mouth so in exploded inside of him
The Book of Vishanti is only one in the Multiverse like America Chavez There is no alternate version of that book That's why it was kept in the gap junction of the multiverse
Marvel hasn't released a film in China since like Endgame as far as I know. They've been pretty adamant about not censoring scenes/locations, so several countries in addition to China have not been getting MCU movies either.
There was no another way in earth 199999 when they fought thanos, they had different heros as compared to heroes in earth 838. Also e838 strange was using darkhold something which e19999 strange wasnt
Mark 18:51. Hmm. I don't travel much, because I dislike not being able to travel back the way I came, because of my interpretation of, Space-Time. So seeing her being forced to travel one-way only like that, it what gets me, rather than what bothers other people. 😏
Oh and yes Chris you were correct! She was weaker while Dream Walking and would have been stronger had she actually been there… but she defeated Captain Marvel by absorbing her powers making her basically human, Captain Marvel wasn’t weak
The movie literally said the demon, Cthon, carved the Darkhold into the walls of mountain. There is no “former Scarlett Witch.” Wanda is the only Scarlett Witch in the entire multiverse. Also 818 Strange was not evil. Cause like all Stranges he had to be the one holding the knife. As they said he wanted to act and he did it alone. And strange can’t just borrow Americas powers. Taking her powers even to just borrow them, kills her. The woman in the mid credits scene is Clea. I believe she is Dormammu’s daughter and future wife of Dr Strange.
the darkhold does very similar things in agents of shield. Aida appears from the mist and snaps an agent's neck after it corrupts her, and it tries to keep mac in the framework with his imaginary daughter.
Wanda is really lucky her brother and Vision didn't see how far she fell. As a once man once said before it happened to him as well: "You either die a hero or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.:" History is repeating itself here.
@@dakingbey the irony is that all Wanda had to do was rebuild the hex in the area she was living at. It shouldn't be that hard for her at this point instead of going through her pointless plan to kidnap her other self's children. Unfortunately, some fans will still excuse Wanda for the stuff she did. Ironically no different than Thanos.
@@rodgill9376 except that we have an entire written out, proven history of Wanda being a good soul with good morals and a sympathetic backstory of trauma. We literally never, ever see any of that for Thanos. So it’s very different.
"Make fucking haste!" Speaking facts out here. The psycho witch that's hunting you probably isn't gonna wait for you to finish your expository monologue.
It's my understanding, *Strange* used the _Time Stone_ to see all the choices they can make to defeat *Thanos.* And only one was a success. It had nothing to do with the _Multiverse._ *Edit:* Doctor Strange has done a number of forbidden things in the comics. He's always flaunting rules like what might happen of you use the Darkhold, and he's always fine. At worst, there's a price, but he always remains *_Doctor Strange._* 😎👍
It was the Book of Vishanti that Strange needed to read in order to defeat Thanos. Our universe's Strange didn't believe it existed, let alone know where to look for it, therefore it wouldn't be among the possibilities on his timeline.
Already been said but people definitely misinterpreted the timelines vs endgame. In strange's universe for endgame he checked the timelines that they could effect not every universe that ever could possibly exist. Like why would he need to see the Marvel zombies universe when they arent zombies and thanos isnt a zombie? Just as a quick example
Remember how Agents of Shield compared a dimension to a river of threads going the same way? Those threads are the possible timelines. With Endgame the river would branch with one branch made out of the thread Strange chose where Thanos loses and another branch made up of all the different variations that led to the outcome of Thanos winning. Different DIMENSIONS are other different rivers altogether. Hence why while you can move between the threads in the same river, moving between rivers is basically impossible.
Fun fact: Having captions on the screen mean nothing if you don’t read them. You miss stuff like Black Bolt’s name, who carved those symbols, and so much more. The normies are just the idiots in the theater that makes loud noises whenever something happens.
