What I really like is that Jay made Odysseus stay faithful to Penelope. In the Odyssey he stays with Circe for a few years and even has a son with her (that ends up killing him if I’m not mistaken) and later on he also sleeps with Calipso. But here he never cheats his wife 🛐🛐🛐
The fight during Done For is between a Chimaera that Circe conjures and a Cyclops (yes, I know lol) that Odysseus summons with the power of the Holy Moly Hermes gave him. So when Circe loses is because the Cyclops defeated the Chimaera
Another fun fact! Odysseus says it’s been 12 long years but Jay intended it to be only 10 years still lol so the fandom agreed that either Odysseus is bad at math, or he misses his wife so much that to him it seems like more time has passed or he is just adding a few more years to make Circe pity him lol
From what I can remember I think Jay also takes inspiration from Lin Manuel Miranda. A lot of Epic’s songs have some Hamilton vibes to it but especially the first drafts!!! Also his voice really resembles Lin’s sometimes
The fact it came out on Valentine’s Day and Jay (Odysseus) is dating Talya (Circe) is just so cute and funny to me. Clearly he did it on purpose. Like releasing a new saga every Christmas as a gift to us 🥰
