REACTION: Eurovision 2010 Songs [Alesia Michelle] 

2010 was the first time I watched the Eurovision song contest. Every year I make it a thing to request a day off from my job just to watch this contest. Turkey was my favorite to win back in 2010. If I knew about this contest even before 2010 I would have watched it but here in New York, USA a lot of people don't know about this contest.

2010 was the first year where I started watching Eurovision more seriously. and to know that it was the year my home country won made it much more special

Turkey was my winner 2010. If only they had won we might've still had Turkey by today. I can respect Lena, just not for me.

2010 was one of the beast Eurovision years IMO. That song from Switzerland was my guilty pleasure. Bulgaria - Angel si ti also xD And the songs from 14 to 1 were all epic! Drip Drop was a bit dramatic, but so were the lyrics.

For me 2010 is sadly a year I don't really care for much, I mean when I think back to that year, I mainly think of the interval act with Madcon's "Glow". But I guess it followed 2009 which is the very polar opposite and is still to this day my favourite Eurovision to date, I think it changed the game for Eurovision forever with the insane high quality of songs and production. (That was a hint that I would LOVE to see a reaction to 2009 hahaa). My top entries from 2010 would be Turkey (I was obsessed with it back in the day), Spain (yeah, laugh at me but for some reason I really love this song and staging), Estonia (probably ahead of its time, although prefer studio version), Lithuania (because it's so much fun) and Israel.

My fave this year was Azerbaijan. Her and Cyprus 2012 are the reasons I got into Eurovision after seeing them in a ranking video lol. I also quite like Georgia, but I am a sucker for loud, dramatic ballads haha

Oh Alesia!!! I feel so nostalgic!!! Thanks for bringing back my first memories of Eurovision! This was my first year watching Eurovision and my first year in high school! I remember getting really mad for Slovakia and Bulgaria not qualifying to the final (I really think they did great even with the dancing part during singing) Iceland great performance and the confusion I got to see the Big Five already qualified to the final!!! I hope you created a video section about throwbacks with your reactions about past edition of the Contest!!! Once again thanks and desperately waiting for more videos like this!!!

Cool! 2010 is one of the two favourite years of this decade for me, the other being 2012. Unlike many in 2010, I loved Russia & Belarus, Lithuania, Poland & Sweden should've made the final, [trigger warning!] didn't want Iceland to be a finalist and Germany should've just placed 10th at most. My top 3 of 2010 is: 1. Turkey 🇹🇷 2. Romania 🇷🇴 3. Greece 🇬🇷

This Eurovision wasn't really "pre-LEDs". (Just look at Russia's hosting in 2009) Norway was just trying to send a message, that the Eurovision had been becoming too expensive and wanted to prove that you can host Eurovision on the cheap, even in the most expensive country in Europe. (Which is funny because Norway had the record for most expensive Eurovision for the longest time with Eurovision 1996)

The songs are cut too much.. so not much reaction.. 2010 had some of my all time favorites: Serbia with Balkan was just so enjoyable. Isreal and Greece were classic and ethnic and stands the test of time. Ukraine, maybe my favorite all time. She was not my type but fell for her nevertheless. 😉 Turkey, Moldovia, Romainia, Bosnia Herzegovina .. were really good entries. Come back Turkey!

Oh man nostalgia! 2010 was my senior year in college and I sneakily and like a nerd brought as much Eurovision into my papers. I had a research paper about Sputnik to reference Satellite and my capstone paper was named Playing With Fire 😇

I saw some of your videos with reaction to ESC songs and usually you say about Poland in a bad way I mean im from Poland and I know that part of our songs aren't quite qood like for example Sweden, Russia etc. but I think that every song from Poland have positives and maybe you should say about it? Like, maybe about performances which sometimes shows our culture or have a really good lyrics and music. I don't think she watched the contest in a long time did she? I wonder if the number of the song in the top she is reacting to is influencing her decision because Georgia and Russia were especially popular with fans at the time. Also I'm surprised she didn't say much about Belgium considering it was a strong contender. Idk maybe it is me because I watched this as my first ESC and now again so I remember the acts better. Anyways I have been rewatching all the ESC contest since 2010 as a way to say bye to the decade.

Wow this made me realize: while the better songs from that year still sound good, basically all the places 11-39 sound bad or just plain terrible. So many dated and generic songs..wonder if I will say the same about 2019 in a few years ago, but I feel like the overall standard has become better and that the midfield entires are better nowadays.

I love Satellite! One of the reasons I adore it today is because Lena’s current releases are so good and I would’ve have discovered her music without it. Dear L is something I listen to all the time. I like Manga, but it doesn’t hold up as much for me. I prefer 2008 much more than 2010.
