It's crazy that the most famous song to come out of this year was Estonia. I didn't even know it was a Eurovision song until recently. I just knew it as a meme.
2011 was such an odd year, not gonna lie. One of the most distributed votes ever. But... Azerbaijan are low key the worst winners of the 2010s because "Running Scared" wasn't really it, and it's still not it. Italy made a wonderful comeback to the contest, and like you say Alesia, they need to win ASAP, their top-notch quality deserves to finally come victorious.
We have a lot of the same opinions on 2011. I still love Bulgaria this year -- it's my "I need to get pumped" song and I still love it. I adored Germany and the UK this year. I have been having live finals viewing parties here in Peoria IL since 2007, and that year a guest came just as Moldova came on, and he looked at the screen, tilted his head and went, "Dude, I'm not high enough for this." :: laugh ::
Denmark was my winner this year (and Tim Schou is a definite ESC crush), but its a tough choice between them and Georgia, even though i was sure Sweden would be top of my list when i did my rankings
What a horrible year. Nobody could sing. The good ones perished in the Semis, or were totally underappreciated in the Final. The technical side was not up to standard either (it was freakin Germany, I thought organisation is like their thing). I only liked Lena's song. And Slovenia but they got played of course. And my girl from Poland did NOT deserve that last place. Also we got the first winner in history that couldn't sing. Horrible year.
This is the only contest to date I attended. Crap winner, and I must say there aren't that many songs here that I'm in love with. My faves would be Bosnia & Herzegovina, Italy and Norway... I still have no idea why Stella didn't qualify! My country, the Netherlands, finished last in the semi and I must say it was deserved.
My favorites of 2011 are: - Lithuania - Italy - Serbia - Spain - Switzerland - Iceland - Romania - Slovenia - Germany And I agree Norway and Bulgaria should have been in the final. Sweden and Ireland was overrated. Azerbaijan was good, but not my winner.
Ahhhh so that's why I can't remember who's the winner of 2011 XD To be honest tho I don't hate Running Scared, I enjoy it but not sure if it should've won.
Jedward Lipstick was the winner for me that year. Azerbaijan nice song but not memorable. Ukraine = sand artist not song. Sweden would have deserved a back to back 2011 2012 win
Slovenia was my winner for that year!! To me Georgia, Austria, Germany, and Sweeden had good entries that year. While I like the lyrics and melody of "Running Scared" however, Azerbaijan had one of the worst performances that year (to me their harmonies were way off) and that song is one of the worst winners in recent years, if not the worst.
I understand, but when I watch your reaction videos I like the way you analyze the song, I am not saying the video should last 3 minutes per song, but at least 15 seconds in order you can share your thoughts with the viewers, with more details.
To be honest from the moment that eurovision allowed the countries to use the english language the contest lost its originality. Most songs sound the same.
No it was NOT, it did deserve to win! Only weak live performance didn't give the right to the song . The song has it hooks and is very melancholic, which many doesn't even get it. So stop bashing this!
@@Vlaicatin_2717 nothing. I stand by my words. I do like "A luta é alegria" and "With love baby" and I still don't like when people talk about some songs being outdated. That's still stupid, nothing has changed. So yeah, maybe I was a bit rude, but I do still have the same opinion. I didn't mean to be rude, just expressed my opinion in my own unique way.
