Reacting to the unofficial version of Faouzia and Kelly Clarkson's collaboration on Kelly's song "I dare you". Kelly did a global project in 2020 where she had people from different countries translate her song. Faouzia translated it into Arabic, and not to spoil anything, but this is the glorious result.

The one take where Kelly switches live through all 6 languages is insane! I mean, not only from a musical standpoint, but language wise as well. And I think she had like a little less than a week to practice the languages before recording.

I remember Kelly discussing this project. She mentioned it was always in the works, but with the pandemic they moved it up because they thought the message was timing. However, all of her phonetic translations were in LA and they were pandemic-ing in Montana. So, she asked them to send them 1 at a time, but they sent all 5 to do in just a couple of days. She discussed being practically in tears trying to rewrite all of the phonetics for all of the versions again.

I cried when I heard Kelly sing this on the finale of The Voice. For her to be able to sing all different languages in one song is AMAZING!! Kelly has such a God-given talent.

I learned of Fouzia through The I Dare You project and have been a fan of hers ever since. Love her. Also Kelly learned this song in 4 other languages AND also sign language. She also said in an interview she recorded all of the languages in 4 days. I will try to find the link for you if you like. This collab Kelly did with all these international performers is also where I was introduced to Faouzia and now I am obsessed with her music and blossoming career! Absolutely heartwarming reaction to these two beautifully talented singers ! So so great together ! Kudos to Kelly for her singing in Arabic ,it was fabulous that she took this on ! I believe all great singers can sing in multiple languages and their vocals will shine through every time ! It's so obvious here ! Faouzia and Kelly are a natural duo both fantastic singers on their own;; but together this was magical to witness ! You should also check out the I dare you mega mix video. Kelly sings with all 5 people and she did her part straight through, flipping back and forth between 5 different languages. She is amazing. Also hi to Kaylee, if you are the person from the Fischtank live streams.

This is so amazing! The album has 6 versions of this song. She does a solo in English and then a duet with other artists in Spanish, French, Arabic, German, and Hebrew. When I first heard the album, I thought she would sing her part in English on every version, but I was so blown away when I heard her sing in all the other languages as well! That was crazy to me and it shows how dedicated she was to this project. Thank you for this reaction! If you haven’t already, I hope you also check out the other versions of this song. ♥️❤️💖

Ooh God I can't focus on Kelly.... Sorry (but her low register stands out in this dialect!) I love Faouzia's voice sooo F much, her interpretation... I forget reality for seconds!!! Faouzia was born in Morocco and moved to Canada at a young age, but moroccan culture was always present in her life. She was raised in a moroccan/muslim family, so as she said:the moroccan customs, the language (darija), the food, music of there were always present. That's why she gets to do these arab runs because she grew up listening and practicing, and she commented that she did these runs in her own songs without even realizing.

Wow, Kelly really surprised us by singing in Arabic. I totally didn't expect that either. Just what you to said I thought she was going to sing in English while Faouzia is singing in Arabic. I totally enjoyed this collab! In my country, Arabic It's pronounced Air-bic. 😃 ⭐🌠🌟

The reason why faouzia is pronounceing the R like that is because she is not speaking the standard Arabic it is the Moroccan dialect it is french mixed up with Arabic Like I don't understand have of what she is saying

Ah cool :) So you'd trill your R then? Yeah, Moroccan people I know usually say that many other speakers of Arabic can't understand them that well. I think it's fascinating that it's such a huuuuge language that it has dialects so different from eachother.

wouldn't u be interested what put Faouzia on the map? it was her TikTok gig that went viral sitting on her couch at home with her budget microphone belting her raw talent. it's also the only motivation song she has so far. Arabic has 2 letters |=ر sounds like regular R Norvegian R= غ is another letter

Thanks :) But Norwegian also has two different R sounds: the trilly (front) one that you find in Spanish and the throaty (back) one that you find in French. In my dialect we use the latter.

It's in arabic, every arab people have the same language, it's not in maroccan dialecte

Yes, of course Arabic is one language, and I obviously don't speak Arabic so I can't tell, but I had another commenter say they could only understand half of what she sings here because of the Darija dialect :) I have friends who say the same thing, that they sometimes - depending on the dialect - struggle to understand Arabic spoken by people from different countries than themselves.
