One of my favorites from his group Voiceplay is If I Were A Rich Man/Girl from Fiddler on the Roof. He really demonstrates his vocal range in that one, it's so good!
You should definitely react to his group, Voiceplay. They have plenty of great Christmas songs, but my favorite overall songs from them are Hoist the Colours and the Wicked Medley
What some call the Geoff quartet (which is sometimes a quintet) or the Geofftet, I call Geoff and the Geofftones. Just my take on it. :) I'm old and think in terms of old groups. Since he and VoicePlay got a good helping of patrons they've become a lot more professional in terms of what they can afford to produce. And yes he is amazing, in arranging and singing. :) The smile on your face says it all. It's such a smile producing production. Makes me happy. One of my favourites of VoicePlay's is Can't Help Falling in Love. If you love harmonies and don't know it, have a listen. True Colours is another.
Enjoyed your reaction very much. I lack the talent to sing well, arrange or produce at all, but boy, do I love watching someone who can! Geoff is phenomenal. For his solo work, try House of the Rising Sun or 16 tons (his most viewed cover). Please, please, please check out Voiceplay, the group he sings with. He does almost half of those arrangements, the beatboxer does most of the other half. Start with Hoist the Colours and the Wicked medley. The crew has changed in the last 18 months, in older pieces you will see different members and featured artists. You can't go wrong!
The Geoff Quartet. Love Geoff's arrangement of this song. Starts off traditionally then kicks it up. Eli did a great job with the lighting as he always does. Kathy dressed her hubby well. Nice choice. You will also enjoy his cover of Mele Kalikimaka. VoicePlay is my top favorite group. Then Home Free with Tim Foust their bass.
Geoff is the full package. Yeah, it's not just his 5 octave range for me, as well. I am a bass with a 4 octave range, who always thought my strong A1 low-end was impressive... these super-basses humbled me. I will also say, VoicePlay is one you need to check out; it's acapella for the theater geek.
He’s amazing. He’s the best arranger out there anywhere. His complex harmonies are so beautiful. He does everything himself. VoicePlay is the group he helped found and they’ll blow your mind. They do a lot of theatrical songs as well. Hoist the Colours , Friends On the Other side, Oogie Boogie, Queen in 5 Minutes are good ones. Just pick any of their songs that appeal to you and you’ll be hooked. For the season there’s a couple funny ones-Mission: Jingle Bells and the Grinch.
If you like beautiful chords you really need to check out VoicePlay’s Wicked medley. Geoff arranged this one as well and it is amazing. At the end, just before Rachel goes into the defying gravity song there’s a couple of chords that are sustained that are absolutely breathtaking. I’ll be checking in to see if you react to more VoicePlay in more depth and if so I will be subscribing.
