I think I've had a unique experience in this for a few reasons. 1. I am super tall, 2. I've been married for a long time. And 3. I work, (dare I say, excell?) In a male dominated field, it's the ultimate compliment to me to be accepted as "one of the guys," which obviously comes with its own set of social and emotional challenges. Still, the way you brought the conversation to a place of energetic awareness and transcendence was resonant regardless of my lived experience with heterogenderd friendships, and I especially loved the Uber analogy.

This is such an interesting conversation! I will say I never had a bestie male friend because I don't think men and women can be best friends for various reasons. I will say women also engage in 'canopying'. It usually appears around a good looking guy or 'good guy' that might be doing well or comes from a family with money --there is always a 'best friend' woman or a 'she's like my sister' character hanging around to 'protect' him from horrible women when in reality she's just waiting to be chosen by said good guy. I view it more as men value women's energy (not just sexual) but never want to admit it. They can smell when women don't value themselves. I think it's important to value yourself and know where your energy is flowing to and who is around you, as in who is truly valuing you in their life and vice versa.
