Amazing how good, Beth, Joe, the horns, and keyboard. Etta James would be proud. She still sings in her 54 and sounds just as good.

Joe Bonamassa started playing guitar at 4 years ago. At 9 he was playing in bands with guys 20 years older than him. At 12 he opened for BB King. He has a guitar collection of at least 400 guitars and amps. He has a recording company that helps blues artists.

I listened to this piece " Rather go blind" sung by Etta James, Tina Turner ,Beyoncè and others. Some were great Interpretations In live others in studio , in movies with choruses, with vocalists, with "tears" flowing from eyes with long eyelashes, all certainly with participation according to their soul, but I can say that, at least for me, Beth really put a soul, through voice and gestures, which encompasses love, fear, jealousy, resentment, anger and, at the end you feel the sweetness and pain together asking not to be abandoned and, preferring to say that it would be better to go blind not to see the betrayal Love from Italy.

First time visitor. Love Bonamassa. Love Hart. Also love Beck. Both versions are aces. Took a gander at your videography. Very eclectic….and many I don’t know, like Liliac. I like your taste. New sub! 😁🤘✌️

What a pairing of incredible talent. Joe is certainly one of the top blues guitarists right now, and nothing more needs to be said about Beth. She’s the reigning Queen Of The Blues. Long live the Queen! ♥️Beth♥️ ✌🏼😎🇺🇸

Beth & Joe are beyond incredible! The drummer (Anton Fig) and bass player ('Blondie' Fataar) are originally from my neck of the woods!! Another one to watch is Beth performing Am I the One live at Cafe Paradiso in Amsterdam... it is 🔥🔥🔥 ☮❤Sea Point, Cape Town

Joe played with his thumb at the beginning of the solo, but switched to a pick later on. If you look carefully you can see that he has the pick tucked into his hand when he is playing with his thumb. Playing with the thumb produces a warmer tone than using the pick.

Next Beth Hart reaction would be Caught Out In The Rain. Live Royal Abert Hall 2018. IMO One of the best performances ever.

I’m so happy you did this version 😊 This whole concert is excellent. Beth wrote a song called “Leave the Light On”. The live version from The Royal Albert Hall” is beautiful.

I just came across this reaction, and it was the first time seeing anything from your channel. I discovered Beth and Joe about three years ago. The first song I saw them do was this one, and then in the thumbnail I saw them together on "I'll Take Care of You". I never knew I was a Blues fan until then, and now I own 41 albums of them together and solo. This song was the last song of their Amsterdam Concert, and what a finale. They have four albums together, and Beth was part a couple of Joe's concerts. Read her life story to get a better perspective of what she's been through and what she had to overcome. She is an amazing singer, and Joe, well joe is Joe. He's unrivaled at what he does.

Heavy Soul like the stuff John R. and The Hossman played late at night on 1510 WLAC Nashville in the 1960's. The stuff I listened to on my 6 transistor radio under my pillow way up north in Wisconsin. As good as this version is, it wouldn't exist without the Etta James original. The original is always the greatest!

Yes amazing! Joe Bonamassa is one of three child blues prodigies that really started making their mark as young teens in the 90's. Joe Bonamassa, Derek Trucks and Johnny Lang anything from these guys are fabulous.

Thanks heaps for the reaction. You should check out Joe Bonamassa with Jimmy Barnes “stone cold” live. Jimmy is that rocker in that Australian band Cold Chisel that you reacted to but in this one he is a lot older and Sounds just as good

New sub. Seeing what you’ve liked in your videos, I have three suggestions; if you want some great blues, try Stone Cold with Bonamassa and the great Aussie singer Jimmy Barnes. Is you want rock, Bonamassa and Barnes cover of Deep Purple’s Lazy. All the musicians are top tier and the organist goes nuts on this. Finally. If you want some outstanding blues rock, watch Bonamassa doing Goin’ Down with his full band live at The Greek. It SMOKES! 🤘

I’ve watched every reaction to this version . And The original vid hundreds of times. I just don’t get tired of it . I have so many “favorite parts” of this performance but one I will mention is when she says “tears rollin down my face” the way she does her vibrato on rollin is sooo cool . If your eyes are close and you hear that, it’s like you can actually see the tears spilling

Great reaction Todd! Joe Bonamassa always has a great band, and he's a great blues singer also. His Live at The Greek Theater concert is really good with my favorites being his covers of Albert King's "Oh Pretty Woman" and "I'll Play The Blues For You". Thanks again!

This is the best version I have seen of Beth doing this song. The Jeff Beck/Kennedy Center version just feels a bit 'uptight' and rushed. Here Beth gets a real chance to stretch out, add more nuance, and lead organically into the climax points. It's better paced. And I prefer this band configuration as well. Glad you pointed out the horns. Superlative, subtle underpinning. They add so much. Beth on fire. Joe on fire. Band on fire.

So close to perfection...... For more Blues / Rock / Soul perfection, try a live version of When Something Is Wrong With My Baby.....a cover of Sam n Dave by Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham.....the Hey Hey Its Saturday tv video and the awards night video are the 2 best live versions but the official video is also top class. ( Sorry i cant remember the name of the awards show.....could be the Arias ). Also Stone Cold by Jimmy Barnes with Joe Bonamassa on his restored and rebuilt classic Les Paul......a tone to die for. Regarding Joe Bonamassa ...............possibly the best blues guitarist ever, definitely one of the wealthiest professional musicians ever, and yet so many blues and rock fans have never heard of him. Introduced to the blues audience by B B King at only 12 yo. 2 years later at 14 yo he was B B's oppening live act. Tours the world constantly with his hand picked touring band and vocalists, but when NOT on tour, he is teaching guitarists how to play the blues at his guitar ranch and school....... complete with recording studio and house band.
