We all went going to bed Monday night everything fine,we woke up Tuesday morning ,flicked on the TV or radio with devastating news that John Farnham has cancer, we went into shock and cried not knowing if we were going to lose another Music Legend, and then we prayed for a good outcome, which we got Wednesday morning, but now we are thinking will he be the same after all what he has to go through, or will he be different, time will tell. John's Wife is the HERO for taking him to the doctor in the first place. 💕🇦🇺

Probably one of my favorite live performances. There is NOTHING left to give. Everyone brings their A game. Anyone who was on stage that night, will look back and remember this as a highlight of their career. Thank you for sharing. Wishing John and his family all the very best.

We appreciate you guys, and yes John will get through this he’s got a massive support base plus he’s such a positive person and was even telling jokes to the surgeons before his operation. There is nothing this man can’t sing he’s incredible

If you haven't already & love him doing rock, checkout him doing "Black Dog" in a soundcheck "warming up his voice for the start of a concert. Audio only, guessing a savvy sound engineer recorded it

As you said.....he was joking with the Drs and nurses before going in for his surgery, which is so John. He is stable in ICU, and the Drs are very positive about his recovery. He has a very positive outlook, and is also a strong person.....and also has a very, very strong wife, and two lovely sons who are all very close and supportive....so he will recover well, I'm sure. All Australia has been sending him positive vibes and lots of other musicians and friends from overseas also. He will be blown away by all the love.....

It was the last encore track, they all just went off! It was amazing to see John do an ACDC song, and to have the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra as well was amazing too. Love it now and loved it then.

Yeah I think there were 3 encores, saving the best for last. The audience knows, and plays along. I was sitting side-on to the orchestra when the tour came to Brisbane, and they were just having a blast. Most classical musicians have a head banger side to them, and these guys were just letting loose. It was truly joyous.

He's completely 100% clear and guess what? We are talking about going out to start doing a tour John Farnham is saying. Good on him . He has nothing to prove, and has left us a wonderful legacy of his music , so I believe doing the tour now at his age what's simply be because of his love for music❤

Is this for real? More public performances? Farnsey is making my twilight years so very happy, I watch the youtube videos daily - many times. I'm UK, wouldn't get to see him live, but the thought of John singing again, anywhere - just wonderful.. May'24. UK. E❤

thanks guys, us Australians are so heart broken to hear of Johns cancer, i have being to every single concert he did. he came through the surgery and has great support, he will need to learn how to eat and drink. Everyone over here is praying for his full recovery. He is an Aussie icon and we all love him over here, his concerts and particularly in the front row omg brilliant. So thanks for this I needed it. I've been laying in my hospital bed for the past two weeks listening to clips of John and I was devastated to hear that he's undergoing his own cancer treatment. I honestly think this track is probably one of, if not, the greatest live performance ever. Thanks for supporting this amazing man. Love, peace and health to you guys.

So great to see you guys getting just as big a kick out of John as we all do. This is my all time favourite performance from John. Even beats out Help and the Voice. Can't remember if you guys have done Chain Readtion from the Chain Reaction concert. But that one is also up with the best . Thanks again for all the support for John and his fans ..John has a long road to recovery but with all of us behind him, he will knock it out of the park

I'm glad he is okay and moving to next stage of recovery and healing. I think he is one of those who likes to talk a lot! It will be a challenge. So happy for all the support him and his family are getting truly is a wonderful outpouring of love. He had an amazing career, what a ride. 🐎 He made enough music to last generations. He will always be the VOICE.

He has a long recovery ahead of him and is unlikely ever be able to sing again due to it being cancer of the mouth. I've always loved his performances from when he 1st came o the scene in 1968 with Sadie The Cleaning Lady.

You want a heavier tune? Look for John doing Led Zeppelin's 'Black Dog'. No live video, because John never sang it at a concert, nor recorded it. It was done regularly as a sound check, and an enterprising sound engineer decided to hit 'Record'. It is INCREDIBLE!

I've seen John 17 times live, and I couldn't care less if he never sings live again, but HE WILL sing again, even if it's inside his own head because that's who he is. As long as John beats this and gets to be there for his family, which is what he's fighting for, then that's what I want for him. John truly is Australia's favourite son, and we love that larrikin to bits lol...Hugs and peace xox

That was the song before he did the encore - Help! Just when you think John has left everything on the stage, he then comes back and blows everyone away again with the best cover of a Beatles hit ever. This whole concert is nothing but great musical moments. Farnham and his band live, are perfection. ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you guys... I think another important reason that John has been so popular, especially in our country, is the fact that he chose to marry his childhood sweetheart, against the recommendations of his agency of the time... he has never been your typical musician/artist - not one adverse story or piece of dirt from any timeframe of his career... there is a studio version of his first song for Jillian (It's called Jillie's song from the 'Uncovered' album) the words are beautiful... worth a listen if you have the time..... John is a genuinely nice person who idolises his wife and sons, values his friends and family and just works hard. His band dropping everything each time he chose to tour is a huge testament to his character. He will get through this difficult period - Its lovely to know that he has the support of people outside of our country to help him feel the enormous amount of love for him.

That 16 hour op I had , was in 1995, I was 24 but the first one I was 5 but don’t remember much. That was where I tried to escape to go to…🤣🤣🤣🤣We 💗 our John Farnham. Here’s Queen + John Farnham - We Will Rock You extended version John Farnham recording over Queens original track but with extra additions to the original ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vP6O5hCN1M8.html This was originally recorded recorded in 2003 for Ruby Union World Cup promotional song . Brain May and Roger Taylor of Queen was on board with John Farnham recording his powerful vocals over the classic original , but John Farnham added extra vocals to sent back to Queen in London they added extra guitars and drums to it . This version absolutely rocks it’s a pity they never played together. Rumoured John was asked first to join Queen earlier in the mid 90’s after Freddie Mercury died .

Believe it or not American record labels rejected him because of Sadie, they thought he was a novelty act and wouldn't even grant him an appointment. So after so many rejections and because he was missing his family and friends at home he said screw it I've got the career I want at home. Thanks American labels for rejecting him he came home and became a legend in Aussie music.

They (AC/DC) haven’t played it since Bon died, and I think maybe a little before that. The bagpipes got stolen or destroyed by fans or something like that

I love AC/DC but I think John does this version is so much better. Everyone on that stage is having an absolute ball, including the orchestra conductor. There is so much energy, considering this was the 3rd encore from a 21/2 hour show and he still sounds epic. John always puts everything to every performance he does. You need to look at John’s live singing “let me out” great song with an epic marathon guitar solo from Brett Garsed. John can sing anything, any genre.
