Love that you mentioned Yedam sounding like Shawn Mendes because his cover of There's Nothing Holding Me Back as a trainee is one of the things he's most known for! He went very viral in Korea and among international K-pop fans for that- I recommend you watch it 😄 He's been in the industry for a long time. He became a household name in Korea after becoming the runner-up of Kpop Star at just 10 years old. He's known in Korea as "Korean Justin Bieber" and "Little Michael Jackson" for having a similar vocal tone as them. Then he became one of the longest YG trainees and was known as a prodigy and an ace. They debuted him in Treasure but he joined a different label and became a soloist because he wanted to have creative freedom as a singer-songwriter and producer. There's a chance you've already looked it up but IIRC Yedam was a part of treasure but is now a soloist, I haven't the slightest clue about the details as to why though. Also the eyes nose lips song is a legendary song in kpop. It's also dedicated his now-wife who he was on a "temporary breakup" with at the time and it helped bring them together again so it's also got a nice real life story around it. Although I do like this cover more, but that's cos I eat up anything Lily serves and Minnie is amazing. I feel like there was another thing I wanted to comment on but I've forgotten while watching! Apparently nmixx are coming back around August..? If so that means we're possibly getting Jiwoo/Kyujin on Leemujin Service, Jiwoo if it continues in age order. Definitely curious about what songs they choose to display their vocals
