Great reaction, this song leaves most people speechless. It's one of the best songs ever written. Most, if not all bands cannot duplicate the who and their amazing talents in the band. I have a few classic, all time songs for you to check out, or review. Meatloaf- For Crying Out Loud. This song is so incredible, emotional masterpiece that many people don't know about... Martina McBride - Broken Wing, and I Just Call You Mine
I was around 12 years old when I first heard this majestic gem of a song. It grabbed my attention right away. But at the time, I had no clue yet that it was the closing track for a powerful album that would eventually become my favorite piece ever by “The Who. “ I’m happy to see that you’ve also discovered the magic of that great song.
This is part of a concept album/rock opera called Quadrophenia. Its a story of growing up in the 60's UK. They also did a movie thats really worth a watch if you can find it.
This is the closing song of Pete Townsend's and The Who's second rock opera, Quadrophenia. It's the story of a teenager with multiple personality syndrome (4). With this song he is struggling with the troubles of his life, contemplating suicide, but the listener has to decide what his choice is
Welcome to, The Who, “My Generation”, “Baba O’Riley”, “Who Are You”, “Won’t Get Fooled Again”, “Pinball Wizard”, “Behind Blue Eyes”, “The Real Me”, “I Can’t Explain”, “5:15”, “See Me, Feel Me/Listening To You”, “I Can See For Miles, “You Better You Bet”, “Join Together”, Don’t listen to one, listen to them all, and 100 more.
The Who were a working class rock band from England/UK, they helped create the modern Rock and Roll concert experience, among the loudest bands ever in concert, superb songwriters and musicians, they became one of the biggest Rock bands of all time but they came from dirt poor roots, four very angry young men with no real future, they elicited a response from millions of disenfranchised youth in the UK and then around the world; they are proto-punk rock, whether punk rock wants to admit it or not.
There is a serious movie starring the comedian Adam Sandler and awesome actor Don Cheadle (one of my favorites) in the movie "Reign Over Me" about a man devastated by the loss of his wife and family from the 9/11 attacks. They both deserve Academy awards for their performances. The movie crashes to an end just like the song, with Adam Sandler singing his version of the song with the credits. I love this movie with all my heart.
Loved your reaction to this band..great music and lyrics from Pete Townshend...Would love to see you listen to the great Tom Waits.". Chicago"..a gritty rock and blues legend..
THE WHO, "LOVE REIGN O'ER ME". They say, don't judge a book, by it's cover. I believe you'll like these also. The Band YES, doing "ROUNDABOUT", TRAFFIC, doing "THE LOW SPARK OF HIGH HEELED BOYS", ELTON JOHN, doing "MADMAN ACROSS THE WATER"..
Wonderful raction to an amazing piece of music. Keeping in the theme of the sea, but a whole different vibe, try taking a listen to the blues piece "A Million Miles Away" by the legendary guitarist Rory Gallagher from the Irish Tour '74. Vocals are passionate, but the guitar absolutely soars. Thanks so much!
You look like an honest woman. Do you feel these old white artists “stole” from Black Culture? I don’t see it. I see love for the roots, but a different tree.
