Now they have "shoot 10 NPCs in a bunker" and "shoot 10 NPCs in a distribution center" missions. The new "unique" mission will be "shoot 10 NPCs at a space station". Star Citizen unique content is so unique.
No NPC in this game. They are just moving targets. The only interaction with them in filling them with bullets. And without interactive NPC, you cannot have any classic missions with dialogue and investigation, just souless "Kill them all" missions.
They don't have proper ship progression, component progression, personal gear progression, no economy, no crafting, no nothing. I can't wait to see which flavour of nothing we are going to occupy our time in pyro.
Hey CIG, give me a heads up when I can - reliably interact with the environment/objects without being instagibbed for no reason - move around my ship without falling thru the floor/walls - leave/enter hangars without exploding - have some kind of progression other than make money to buy more ships to do nothing with - experience AI that isn't completely braindead and useless - interact with menu's/objects in a timely manner - reliably take & complete contracts/activities consistently How many more years and millions of dollars will that take?
Even the video quality which was quite good is now lacking. They take shots with clipping, bad animations, bad aiming. Its really like they took first take of developers who don't play at all and don't care. Pyro is such a repetitive and boring topic already honestly theres nothing to see in Pyro for me, we have already seen pretty much everything. EDIT: And yea just copy pasting copions is so damn lazy, considerring that they announced animals a very long time ago. At least a different form / head / claws of this doggo in its so easy to do it, no.. not possible.
The thing I find so funny about Star Citizen other than the lack of progress is how hard they seem to be cracking down on Spectrum. I've gotten numerous bans and posts deleted for negative comments the last one said it was deleted for "violating rule 9.9a Driving a doom and gloom narrative". Now this wasn't a thread I started, just a reply to someone else's discussion, but apparently without any personal insults or comments about CIG staff it was still just too much. Pretty much any complaint thread on spectrum has 1/3 of it's posts deleted by CIG staff. If bad opinions are that dangerous to them and they can't do anything to generate good opinions, maybe they've already started circling the drain and the end is nearer than we think.
There was once going to be a procedural engine for the underground mIssion locations and stations. None of these things were supposed to be handmade or copy pasted.
I'd challenge ppl to go to the Hello Games Tube (official hello games youtube channel) and find an update trailer that was not full of new content. No man's sky release log has a rich patch note for every update will tons and tons of new content in every update. This year we had update Omega in february, Adrift in March, Orbital (huge one) in may and now Worlds Part 1 in july and august is no man's sky aniversary so, who knows. I wish Star Citizen was amazing but it seems it's still gonna take 10 more years for that
@@gemreviews2840 X3 and 4 are quite different in some aspects. If you want to get into the series get the "Terran war pack" for X3 (includes Terran conflict and Albion Prelude) or all 3 parts of X3 first (Reunion, Terran Conflict, Albion Prelude). The walking around in stations part of X4 is not really needed since the series offers so much in terms of business empire building, plus the 3 parts of X3 are usually cheaper than X4 and its addons.

CIG allowed too many people to start playing this game too early in production. It seems hard for people to realize that games of this scale take damn near 10-15 years to make. I'm a 3D artist and people in my field of work are generally some of the first people contacted for project starts. I've worked on games in the beginning of my career that have still not been released 10 years later. Y'all have been spoiled by CIG, and it appears you just cannot understand what Alpha is supposed to actually mean. Also from what I've already seen in space stations from this game, everyone should know the space stations are definitely not copy paste. They use modular assets from what I can tell which lends itself to almost infinit amount of configuration. Nothing from previous stations would indicate a copy paste approach by the team either. Y'all have been spoiled, and the complaining is annoying. GTA 6 has been in production before GTA 5 was released and it's still not out, just to help y'all understand the privilege CIG has given people.

The privilege to pay to be a beta tester. At least rockstar did not use our money to make their game. With your logic, that means CIG will finish SC in 3-5 more years; 100 star systems, bug free, all ships in game, game loops, economy, etc + Squadron42 (which was the original game promised)
@@vidge1111 it's a different approach. But GTA 5 costed $63 and didn't have online completed at launch. In fact a lot of games have improved since launch. There's also many games considered alpha stage that cost money for access. So please explain what is your point? All these companies literally do the same thing. Rockstar was established already also, SC is CIG founding game. So the money Rockstar uses comes from purchases made by gamers, funding their project. That's how companies work. CIG had to give access early to get backers same as any company that's gone public for investors. Your comment really hints at a lack of understanding of how business is done and how a startup can become more than just an idea.

This is not the SCI-FI SOCIAL SANDBOX or SECOND LIFE IN SPACE that Chris & his Team have been marketing at the backers. Your Player Avatar doesn't even reach out for usables via CryEngine's built-in inverse-kinematic code, seven years after (the excellent) Foot Placement. SC doesn't even use CryEngine's built-in Phys-X code. Utter, utter, travesty.
No worries - nothing will work on 4.0 release anyway. Then we'll wait 6 months for 4.1 where they'll do 20 minute video on how hard it was to make NPCs actually spawn in asteroid stations but will announce range of features for 5.0 to divert our attention from messy 4.0 launch. To appease the "salty haters" they'll make some sort of event in Pyro that will also not work but will have a cool trailer.
I can't firguer our why people still give CIG money, there's been nothing "new" for years and none of it really works anyway. I guess all the junkies can't help but buy new ships, CIG should be required to advertise an adiction hotline on the ship sale page.

Huh!?!? I backed an over glorified COD, with lackluster FPS gameplay mechanics and incredibly cumbersome game loops that all end with pew pew. This is a travesty to the original vision of the game. This is going to be a griefing hellscape of a game with 40 miinute prep. Star Citizen is headed towards failure fam.
It's a shame what a potentially awesome game SC has been reduced to. They're going in the wrong direction. They are a rudderless, leaderless organization. They don't need more FPS content anyway. They need to fix the game so it's playable. We need a bug fix release, THEN work on new content. Not the other way round. Leave Kamala Harris alone. She's okay. Have you considered X4 Foundations? I'm really considering trying that game while I wait for the SC bug fixes that will never come.
Frankly I think it is okay to "copy the station" and just build a bit of different colour fluff around it, but that can't t take 8 freaking years for ONE system. I mean they have to push out like 3 to 4 systems per year once the game releases to keep a moderate pace. Keep in mind this ist the result of 8 years and on the whole more than 700 mil without subscriptions. #Clownshow
Even NMS with millions of stars have stations that look diferent on the outisde and at least different light interior, pirate stations are completely different, and you cna make your own bases too.

they should just drop server meshing and make an mmo with the assets they have, why do we even need server meshing? its a cool idea, but no game has needed it so far, so obviously its not that important
Because instead of building a game that would work inside the constraints of current servers, they designed a very resource intensive game, aimed at MMO PvP, that REQUIRES meshing and scaling to function. CIG has been stalled in development because they have only made very limited progress on meshing.
these guys arent gamers, im convinced. pvpers will love pyro, if they did something better with the contested areas it would be cool, like the ability to build in that area... instead of the ability to buy a ship.
Thing is, PVP is just terrible here. Ship flight is dead for most players with MM and the fps being as terrible as it is you are better off playing something else. Its not as if theres a game, progression, exploring or anything other than the core mechanic we ´ve had for years now.
The combat still looks so janky and trash..but great now we have shoot in stations, such innovation..and ofc the NPC's are still gonna be lifeless and janky, ofc the stability will still be garbage, ofc there will be no real content with systems in place because CIG can't actually do them.

I don't understand how CIG can be excited about how the game is developing. There's very buggy functional stuff but seriously everything else sucks. The missions are boring AF and the same. It gets very old very quickly. Is there anyone at CIG that actually has imagination or are they all so scared of Chris they have to play everything safe, suck the fun out the game, nerf everything that could have a lot of potential. Graphically I can't fault it but there is a serious lack of depth to this game.
