At the end of Bo's shows -- it always comes back to performance. He always brings it back to the effect of fame, his career, and what people he's never met think of him. Art is Dead, We Think We Know You, Can't Handle This, All Eyes on Me. His need for validation and to express himself comes with the price of being famous, which seems to cause him nothing but anxiety. So he turns it into his art. It's a fascinating viscous cycle.

Nice to see somebody who truly gets it. Part of the Bo Burnham's magic is that his chosen songs are accessible to anyone and most people can enjoy them or get a left but there's a good handful of fans to actually truly get what he saying, normally because there's somebody who feels the same way

So what I love about this. First, he uses the naysayers to make his music. Then he tries to make a point. He tries to get it to stop, but he doesn't. Then he tries to cover it up with his music, but no matter how loud the music gets, the naysayers are still there in the background. So he uses them to make music again and combines it with his own work to make something amazing. It's symbolic as heck.

I think it’s important to note that he turns all these negative voices in his life into music, so he turns his anxiety into his passion. As the song progresses, he begins drowning out these people with the music he creates from their negative impact in his life.

I think there are 2 possibilities concerning the cricket part. 1: All previous characters that introduced themselves wanted something from Bo. First the lady wanted him to sing on her party, then the business man wanted to milk him, after that some guy who's friend's old roommate's friend that knew Bo in highschool wanted to sell him some weed. Satan introduced himself, probably to try to get something from Bo as well. The only one who didn't want anything from him was God, that's why he remained silent. 2. God is a cricket.

I always interpreted it that when you are famous temptation and vice are easy to find, so immediately available. Help, guidance, and good influences are not so easy to find when you want them.

I can only speak for myself but I personally am looking for "really long reactions" because that means the person is really considering what they're listening to and taking the time to discuss it, even if it means more editing for them. I've watched hour long commentaries and analysis of single songs. You can't scare us, nor can you look "too deep" into Bo's work for the most part. He's an artist. Some stuff may actually be meaningless, he's very open about loving "absurdist" art, which gives me similar vibes to surrealism. But when you watch Inside for the third time you'll start to pick up on his potential overarching theme/observation of how the internet and capitalism have corrupted and monetized our interpersonal relationships. You could do an entire reaction to Inside and it would probably get more views than any individual video because we as a fandom crave connection with others who *see* and appreciate Bo.

You’ve gotta respect the amount of effort that had to go into performing this. It takes 50-100 repetitions to remember a piece of choreography. So just on the low end, that’s almost 6 hours of doing the whole thing over and over. And that’s not even including how many times he had to go over each section…That’s some fucking commitment right there. Dudes brilliant. Awesome reaction as always! Cheers

I like the commentary. It gives me something to reply to; so, not only to get my heart, but also so that I can give feedback that is relevant. I've seen Bo's videos I don't need to reply to them. I come to voyeur on your first experiences and hear where you are coming from. Like, I never thought of the crickets as an example of Out of the Christian god's hands I always saw it as Bo saying they do not exist. I already commented, but I wanted to say that at 8:15 to like 8:25, you can hear the voices being loud to then being drowned out from the music being created. It makes me think that all the hateful comments and negativity he receives in his life can be managed by creating comedy and art. Like that's how he deals with it, kind of like you stated in the end of the video. But you can CLEARLY hear it get super soft as he creates music with it at 8:17 and "almost" disappears at 8:24.. It's a coping mechanism for him.

Dave, I just wanna say that I genuinely love your reactions. You're very insightful and you have a laugh that makes me want to laugh with you. I'm watching this forever after you uploaded it, and that's because I only found you a couple of months ago and today I had the thought of "Hey, I wonder if my favorite reaction youtuber has any reactions to one of my favorite comedian/performers". If I just wanted to watch Bo, I could do that. Your videos are a delight all in their own. 5:45 The reason Satan gets brought into this, is the same reason Satan was brought into the song Bo did called "Repeat Stuff" that was parodying pop songs while being a pop song itself. It's related to the other three people pestering him. This may be slightly inaccurate, but people were going out of their way to say Bo sold his soul to Satan for his art, much like other artists of pop. The three people want something from Bo, and Satan is there to claim his soul, but once again, Bo doesn't give it up, he just turns the other way, Towards God, whom wants nothing from him, granting Bo his silence from all the pressure. He's basically trying to say that himself, alongside other artists get too much flack, when the target should be the companies the artists are working for, and those companies just want money, so they'll do whatever it takes to get that money and leave the artists to suffer the anxiety of a negative public opinion. Or I could be entirely wrong, but either way. I enjoyed the reaction, always very insightful.
