Best awards show performance I’ve ever seen and perfect live vocals and arrangement ! Justin is awesome too along with the second song Drink you away which I like even more than this! Well, maybe best award show performance is tied with Bruno Mars doing “Perm” at the BET awards or Perm at the Apollo. You would jump outta your seat for that one too!!! I will probably get buried in comments but hope you see S I highly recommend and your audience would love to see these two!!!!!
I can't do favorites. My brain goes tilt but I know when I needed to change up the mood and get people into a certain calm ( and buying) mood at my bar I would put this on. In love, looking for love, mourning a lost love... It gets everyone. It also soothes the savage heart when they get to a point in the evening where people get a little belligerent.

His wife is a singer in her own right, and since he has written so many songs for so many hit singers, she convinced him to sing himself. She is on the stage with him all the time since it is said he has horrible stage fright. They are amazing together! This is a remake of an old country song originally recorded by, I believe, Hank Williams (i may be wrong about the original singing artist), but this is an old song with a new arrangement..
@@jodischwendeman8256 You are right, it is a remake. Unfortunately it wasn't Hank Williams, it was David Allen Coe. That one was country style. Chris sang it in more of a blues style.

The song was written by Linda Hargrove & Dean Dillon. It was first released by David Allan Coe in 1981, then by George Jones in 1983. Jones’ release of the song made it to the Top 10 Country Billboard. Stapleton’s cover made it all the way to No. 1. If you’d like to listen to the live version try his Austin City Limits performance.

This was written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove and recorded originally by David Allen Coe in 1981 (country artist back in the day)...then the late great Country Music legend George Jones released his version in 1983 and continued performing it for years in shows. Chris Stapleton has been a song writer for many years and finally started recording his own music at his wife’s urging. She can be heard singing harmony with him on this song and all his music. The absolute BEST most outstanding performance of any kind EVER was Chris Stapleton & Justin Timberlake signing Tennessee Whiskey & Drink you away (JT’s song) during the 2015 ACM award show. The single best performance EVER! You really need to watch that and react. For other country music reactions...Brooks & Dunn “Believe” will REALLY take you to church as well as Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High”...just have Kleenex in hand!! Emotional but SO worth it!

It doesn't matter which song u choose of his every single one hits me right in my soul. Morgane, his wife sings and harmonizes on most of his songs with him and she is amazing in her own right and really could probably have a solo career herself but she stays with him. Love them both

One of the best concerts I've seen and I've seen many dating back to 1978 when I was 8 yrs old. He doesn't jump around or run across the stage. If what you want is great singing and instrumental, then go to a Chris Stapleton concert
